I moved to Marin County from the east coast, because I wanted to be in a beautiful location that allowed you easy access to culture, sports and nature. I have found all that here!
This house is surrounded by eucalyptus trees, but you can still see the water. Mt Tamalpais's peak looms in view from every level. Easy access to 101, ferry and town while still feeling like you're in nature. Great walking and biking. The water front is just down the hill along with great restaurants and beautiful views. What's not to love!
My husband and I stayed in this studio apartment for three nights in March. The apartment is very compact, with a tiny kitchenette and dining table that was perfectly equipped for two. We enjoyed relaxing in the sofa area at the end of the day and the bed was quite comfortable. It was tastefully decorated and - best of all - it had a stunning view out over the harbor. The owner lives above and was very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was meticulously maintained and was as described in the listing. We were able to park our car in the driveway, and it was a short drive to town, so the location was very convenient for exploring Sausalito. Muir Woods is not far away; we had read advice about arriving very early in the morning to get in without a wait and were grateful for the advice! We were able to park close and walk right in. Another day we parked in one of the lots downtown and took the ferry to San Francisco; very easy. One memorable evening we spent on the porch at the Farley Bar at Cavallo Point in the Fort Baker area, in the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge, watching the sunset. We had a lovely time and we would return.
Lee offers a lovely studio with all the amenities, situated among a private eucalyptus grove and chattering birds. I especially enjoyed the deck and views of the bay. The studio is conveniently located near downtown Sausalito and San Francisco. And the off-street parking, kitchenette, full bath and various sitting areas made for a comfortable stay. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Sausalito and Lee's studio.
This delightful suite combines seclusion, sophistication and a sense of the beauty and majesty of nature. I loved it, and felt myself relax the moment I stepped through the French glass doorway. The two walls of shaded windows reveal Richardson Bay, Mt. Tam and the upper trunks and branches of a natIve arboreal grove in which the apartment seems to fit much like a tree house.
I liked the fact that I parked in the driveway of the home and had to walk only a few steps along the side walkway to reach access to the apartment.
Lee is the perfection of a hostess checking in on me, offering to help in any way, but completely unobtrusive. I adored this studio, and wish to keep it a best kept secret!
We loved this studio apartment. It was a nice alternative to staying in the middle of SF where it can be crowded and difficult to get around. Lee allowed us to park in her driveway so we never had to worry about parking. She made sure that we were comfortable and was there if we needed her but we also had our privacy! The studio was clean and well kept. We were able to get into SF easily and out to the Muir Woods in only about 20 minutes. I would highly recommend staying here and if I am ever back in the area, I will be coming back!
My friend and I really enjoyed staying in this studio. It was well appointed and everything seemed very new and clean. The Murphy bed and the daybed were both really comfortable and the bedding was nice. The location is on a steep hill and a bit too far to walk to downtown Sausalito, but it's only a few minutes up or down a big hill to get to the marina area. The setting is also very attractive; there's a nice, private deck in the trees and with a water view. The owner Lee was very friendly and helpful. We were glad we had a nice, comfortable place to return to outside the city every evening!
We really enjoyed this apartment. It was clean and had everything we needed. The bed is a full-size, so might be a little small for wide or very tall people but it suited us just fine. Everything was quiet, just like we like it. This seems like a really good deal in an expensive area of the country. Going back and forth between Sausalito and San Francisco was quite convenient and fast. We would highly recommend this rental.
Close to Muir Woods, Sausalito & Stinson Beach, Golden Gate National Recreational area, hiking trails, minutes to San Francisco over Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito Ferry to San Francisco, 1 hour drive to Napa & Sonoma Valley's in wine country.
