We welcome you to our home. It was recently remodeled and sleeps 6 to 8 comfortably. The gourmet kitchen features a professional range, granite countertops, and custom cherry cabinets. Ample dishes and cookware provided. Enjoy separate activities in the living room and family room. The formal dining room seats 10-12 with casual dining in the kitchen for 11. Hardwood oak floors are throughout most of the house, with tile in the bathrooms. The master bath is laid with limestone, glass tile and a heated floor. There are three electric sky windows and a ceiling fan.
The back yard features a large deck surrounded by bench seating, natural gas BBQ (piped from house, so it never runs out), an outdoor eating table and a kid sized picnic table, play structure, herb and vegetable garden, and fruit trees (in season). Play croquet, soccer, or horseshoes in the front or back yard. The street is closed to through-vehicle traffic, but is open to bikes and pedestrians so there are very few cars passing by.
Downtown Palo Alto with its restaurants and shops is a 20-minute walk, a 10-minute bike ride, or a 5-minute drive away. A public park with play structures and fields is a 5-10 minute walk. Enjoy the neighborhood coffee shop, salon, spa and market at the end of the street.
Stanford University and Stanford Shopping Center are just 3 miles away. Enjoy hiking and wildlife viewing in the nearby hills or at the Baylands. Take a day trip to San Francisco, Monterey, Santa Cruz or the Wine Country.
Close commute to Google, Facebook, EBay, and other Silicon Valley companies.
Portacrib and dining booster available.
We are two teachers and like to travel with our kids during our school breaks.
This was the perfect home for our visit to the Stanford/Palo Alto area! It was an easy 10-15 minute drive to the Stanford Campus where our daughters attended the Stanford Volleyball Camp. We shared the home with another family we were traveling with, and it was more than spacious and comfortable enough for the 4 adults and 5 children in our group. The kids enjoyed the large back yard and ping pong table, while the adults made full use of the deck and barbecue area! The owners were very helpful, and the home was well-equipped. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone!
We stayed at this home in Menlo Park to attend a Stanford graduation, and found it to be clean, comfortable, and convenenient. It is located near the 4 Seasons Hotel on a residential street, with easy access down University Avenue to the campus. It has a nice back yard, TV, internet etc. The owners were very helpful, and our stay was without any issues. I wouldnt hesitate to recomend this home to anyone.
This home met all of our expectations and more !!! We stayed for ten days for a junior Olympic water polo tournament and having this home to return to after long days of many games we were grateful to have such a comfortable, relaxing place to be. The home was perfect for our family, 4 adults and 3 children. The garden with the tomatoes and other veggies were a bonus we didn't expect. We HIGHLY recommend this home
We are very close (2.5 miles) to Stanford University and all the museums, sports, etc. that it has to offer. San Francisco and San Jose are both just 25 miles away. The wine country of Sonoma and Napa are just over an hour's drive. The quiet beaches of San Mateo County are about 30 minutes away with tidepooling and beach combing. The beaches and boardwalk of Santa Cruz are about 45 minutes away.
