About Lane Coulston
We have hosted and managed The Bungalow VRBO vacation rental" in the Lower Rattlesnake since 2007 with top-star reviews - love meeting the guests and many have become great friends. Check out our guest reviews - and expect the same friendly service in our Boomer Special condo in the University area of Missoula. We still live next-door to The Bungalow, and in some future years will move to this condo when we downscale our lifestyle.

Why Lane Coulston chose University District
We depend on the social and cultural activities of downtown Missoula and the University Campus. We love to walk, ride bicycles. A nearby grocery, public library, bus system, local bakeries and coffee shops very nearby, restaurants and farmer's markets make this locale and community as fine as can be found anywhere for active retirement living. Uber Eats now delivers in our neighborhood. Guests have used Blue Apron successfully. Our kitchen is equipped for simple to creative food preparation- and for the entertainment of your guests.
What makes this Condo unique
Location is paramount, particularly for people who come to Missoula on scouting trips - checking out neighborhoods and city life as a possible and new community for their retirement and for family connections. The complex is a healthy living community for travelers age 62+ (by HOA agreement) who are active and up to independent living - many with active lives within the nearby geography of downtown Missoula and on the University of Montana campus, choose this apartment.

Terrific apartment and neighborhood!
We spent a month in Lane's apartment and, before we left, actually booked it for another month next summer. The apartment is roomy, clean, well furnished, quiet and just a few blocks from most everything. We spent most evenings on the balcony enjoying the great view.
Patrick assisted us when Lane wasn't available and he responded rapidly to the couple of minor requests we had during our stay. As this was our first visit to Missoula, Lane prepped us in advance with great tips about the area.
Return guests planning another stay says it all!
They clearly have had a great experience in the Boomer Special
This was our second vacation at 412 Lynnwood Condo. The location is perfect for walking to the University, the Hip Strip, and downtown. The condo is bright, cheery, and well maintained. The Coulstons are always easy to communicate with...and want their renters to have the best experience possible. We loved Missoula and the condo. Additionally, the tenants in the condo are friendly and helpful. We would love to go back again. Also, would like to add when we came the first time we were somewhat concerned about the proximity of the high school to the condo. There was never ever a problem with that issue. The kids were always respectful, there was no vandalism, and it was enjoyable listening to the band practice going down the street.
The condo is beautifully decorated/furnished and very comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had the wonderful month of April in Missoula! The condo has a great location to walking/biking trails, museums, restaurants, book stores, and parks. There is much to do in Missoula and the surrounding area. We enjoyed a jazz festival, music in the park, a film festival, and readings by local authors at a lovely book store. We found the residents to be very warm and friendly, and we met several residents of the condo that we enjoyed sharing coffee and breakfast with. There are many gorgeous parks, and the bike trail along the Clark Fork River is very enjoyable. We walked or biked almost everywhere - it is that convenient. We highly recommend the condo, the !ocation, and Missoula. We had a memorable month stay! We hope to return.
Glad to hear about your immersion in the community and thanks for spectacular care and housekeeping Please come again
We stayed in the condo from Sept 1 to Nov 30. The condo could not be any nicer. Lane and Linda also provided all the necessary things that anyone would need while staying there. The kitchen is well equipped, nice pots and pans, spices, cooking utensils, etc. In addition, when my husband got there he was having knee troubles. Lane brought over an ice gel pack and an exercises mat. We loved being able to walk everywhere....Liquid Planet, University offerings, downtown, Hip Strip, and that wonderful Ciao Mambo's Italian restaurant. We would love to come back to Missoula and stay in this condo.
Unusally well done condo with all the comforts of home
My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a delightful month in this condo. Very nicely decorated and equipped with everything you could need....and showroom clean. A state-of-the-art air handling system kept the rooms very comfortable and quiet. A short walk through the University district provided excellent expresso and just-baked croissants brought back for breakfast on the balcony. What's not to like? Close to all the things that are happening.
We stayed three months at this wonderful condo in Missoula. The location is perfect for walking downtown, to campus, or to the river trails. The apartment itself is light and airy and beautifully decorated. We loved the view from the fourth floor. Everything we needed in the kitchen and good wifi. Laundry downstairs. This is a great place, and if we were ever to return to Missoula, this is exactly where I would want to stay again.
We enjoy meeting travelers like you, who are associated with the University of Montana - the camps is so very convenient to the Boomer's Special. Your input and interaction in this community and with the students on camps - brings Missoula closer to academic circles when you share your perspectives. Thanks for staying with us.
We are minutes by walking to the University campus, to the Clark Fork River trails and park system, and to downtown Missoula via Higgins Avenue, the public library - on the edge of the Restaurant and shopping district known as the Hip Strip - a collection of shops, bakeries, theaters, night clubs, Met Opera in HD at the Roxy (MorrisProductions.org), restaurants and churches and the Missoula Senior Center on Higgins Avenue.
