Charming Lakefront Condo with Fabulous Amenities at Cannon Point Lake George
This lovely condo on the desirable west side of Lake George is perfect for a couple or small family. It has fourteen feet of windows that provide wonderful views of Orcutt Bay as well as a view of the main lake looking north toward Dome Island. It is a large one bedroom (1000 sq ft.) with a sun room that overlooks the lake. The bedroom offers woodland views, a queen size bed, large closets, and a maple dresser. The sun room features two twin beds for lakeside sleeping as well as a small bistro set perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. The unit has AC in the living area and bedroom and a ceiling fan in the sun room. There is also a twin size roll-a-way that can be used for a child.
The condo has recently changed ownership and has been renovated with new flooring, new paint, new beds, bedding and new furniture throughout. The renovated kitchen features maple cabinetry and Silestone quartz counter tops. There are plenty of stainless pots and utensils as well enough bakeware for those who wish to prepare meals at home while enjoying the view of 'The Queen of America's lakes.' The modern bathroom includes a large updated vanity, a comfort height toilet, and a tile floor. There are two new flat screen TV's, one in the living area and one in the master bedroom. The condo also has wireless internet, cable, and a new Logitech audio system which is compatible with Apple and Droid. For your convenience there is a dishwasher and a washer/dryer in the unit.
Our first floor condo is just steps from a sandy beach and a short walk to a beautiful heated pool overlooking the lake. There is a basketball court and play area on site as well as tennis courts, and picnic areas with barbecues. Cannon Point is situated on over twenty wooded acres directly on the lake, between Lake George Village and Bolton Landing. There are walking trails with scenic vistas and a quiet bay which offers a safe place for young children to play and swim. The waters of the bay are also suitable for kayaking.
Cannon Point has a stately 'Manor House' built in 1907 which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake George. Here you can relax, picnic, and watch the boats go by.
The amenities at Cannon Point are yours to use as a guest, and are easily accessible because Cannon Point is one of the few places on the lake with flat terrain and well maintained walkways.
The location of Cannon Point is very convenient. It is just 5 minutes to Lake George Village and less than 10 minutes to Bolton Landing. The amenities make Cannon Point a great family destination.
Directions: Rt 87N to Exit 22. North on Lake Shore Dr. (Rt 9N) for about 3 miles. Cannon Point is on the right just after the sign for Diamond Point, and before Yankee Yacht.
This unit is available as a two bedroom during the summer and a one bedroom during the winter. Rentals are Saturday to Saturday with all linens (except beach towels) provided.
As native upstate New Yorkers, we have spent our lives camping, boating and fishing in the Adirondack Park. After looking at properties on many lakes it became clear why Lake George is called 'The Queen of America's Lakes.'
We were anxious to find a place that provided us with access to her beauty. Cannon Point has great amenities, beautiful views, and offers a very convenient location. Our newly renovated unit is furnished with everything you might need for a happy and relaxing Lake George experience.
Michael Olszewski purchased this condo in 2012
Many of the properties on Lake George have very steep access to the lake. Cannon Point offers flat terrain with beautiful lake and woodland views. Because the grounds encompass over 20 acres, Cannon Point is a real treasure. The location of the property is so convenient, less than 3 miles off exit 22 of I-87, with Lake George Village and Bolton Landing just minutes from the condo. There are also many activities nearby for sunny or rainy days.
Our family of four has stayed in multiple Lake George locations and we have finally found our perfect spot. The condo is IMMACULATELY clean. It is perfectly appointed and casually furnished - perfect for us and our 13 year old boy and 12 year old girl. We spent many hours enjoying the facilities at Cannon Point - the tranquil sandy beach, the basketball court, the pool, the lawn at the Manor House, the boat dock, the swimming raft, the fishing pier AND the "rugged" peninsula nature walk. If we ran into anyone, they were extremely friendly, but for the most part, we seemed to have the area to ourselves. Compared to the crowds everywhere else, it was so relaxing. Mike answered all of our questions and was extremely helpful - even saw him at the race track during the week! I really cannot express how much we enjoyed it in a review. I am already looking forward to a return trip next summer.
My wife and I just completed a wonderful week at this property. Everything was perfect and just as promised with lots of personal attention from the owner. We hope to return many times!
We have been coming to Mike’s condo at Cannon Point for multiple years now, and there are many reasons we keep returning. First, Mike has always been very attentive to any concerns that we have had. When we had a few questions this past visit, he actually drove back to the condo rather than convey information over the phone! (He has always been very thorough and helpful.) Second, Mike’s condo is located in one of the most picturesque spots on Lake George. While swimming or sunning near the boat basin, you are privy to expansive views of Lake George, but when in the cove (Orcutt Bay on Google Earth), you will find very calm water (even if the wind picks up in the afternoon.) We usually visit in June, and you can feel that the water in the cove is considerably warmer than the rest of the lake. The cove is also wonderful for our 3 year old- a sandy bottom and a very gradual slope. He loves to play in the sand, and also spends hours splashing and swimming in the shallow waters! We also enjoy Cannon Point because we plan on a relaxing vacation. If you are looking to party and be rambunctious, please look elsewhere. We enjoy going into Bolton Landing and the Village of Lake George, but there is nothing better than a peaceful evening on the lake at Cannon Point. Lastly, we have enjoyed Mike’s condo because, while we keep to ourselves, the people there have been very kind and open to us and our son. We are very grateful to have found Mike’s condo and look forward to going back every year!
This was our second stay at this property. My wife and I were accompanied by two grandchildren, 12 and 7. From the time of our arrival, being met by the owner Michael O. to meeting many on campus owners, our two weeks was most enjoyable. Our time was spent picnicking in front of the large home on the lake, sitting and playing at the private beach and enjoying water sports both in the lake and in the private pool, our stay was comfortable, relaxing and most scenic. This condo is well appointed, very clean and comfortable for four persons; we look forward to returning in 2016.
We met Mike on the day of arrival, and he took the time to show us the entire grounds surrounding the condo. He was very thorough and had plenty of great information for us, as well as local ideas to keep busy. The condo was very clean and tidy and had all necessary linens etc. It was a one bedroom, plus the porch. We have a 1 year old who slept in a pack and play in the bedroom, while we were more than happy to sleep in the glassed-in porch! Every morning we awoke to she sounds of the lake and plenty of wildlife. We vacationed early in the season, but the water was warm enough to enjoy swimming. The sandy beach was perfect for our son as he could wade in and out of the water in the protected cove. (I believe that the cove allowed the water to warm up quicker as I swam off of the boat docks and noticed it was considerably cooler.) We spent a few hours a day swimming and playing in the cove and rarely were there with anyone else- it was so relaxing! The neighbors that we did meet there were very friendly and talkative. The condominium complex offered so many amenities that there were many days where we never left the complex. There was the protected cove and beach, the boat docks, tennis courts, a playground and a heated pool (which was great for those cooler evenings.) We absolutely loved staying here and plan on coming back next June- Thanks again Mike!
Cannon Point is well situated on the most picturesque lake on the east coast. This first floor condo is immaculate, well appointed, quiet and has a very desirable view of the lake anytime of the day. We found the owners, on site caretakers and neighbors very friendly, and accommodating. We are most anxious to spend three weeks next summer at this delightful home away from home. Thank you
