This is a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom condo in the Chalet condo complex located across the street from the slopes. This unit sleeps a maximum of 10 people. This is a second level, two story condo.
The living room features a beautiful rock fireplace, new couches, cable TV, VCR, and DVD player. The deck off the living room has great views of the ski slopes.
The kitchen is complete with all appliances.
The dining area seats 6 with additional seating for 4 at the kitchen counter.
The master bedroom has a king bed, fireplace, and private full bathroom.
The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is a second full bathroom off the hallway near this bedroom.
The third bedroom is upstairs and has two sets of bunk beds, with double size mattresses on bottom and twins on top. There is a third full bathroom upstairs.
There is a washer and dryer in the unit.
This home may have a minimum night stay based on seasonality and availability.
This is as level of a walk to the slopes as you will find and is just as close of a walk as the lodge is to the lifts. Parking for the complex is cramped but adequate, and there is only one very narrow entrance in and out. We parked just feet from the front door of this unit which is five easy stairs up from ground level. The unit was nice but needs some cosmetic updates and dusting, and new bath towels! It is a condo so not as spacious as a house and you can occasionally hear your neighbors. We did love the real wood-burning fireplace! It was great to have three bathrooms although the water in the master bathroom shower would only get to lukewarm at best, brr! (And its sink has a steady drip.) We all showered in the other two bathrooms which had unfortunate shower heads but at least hot water. Guess we are conserving water so we can freeze and spray it on the mountain! The deck off the master bedroom has stairs down to a sketchy common area which didn't feel very safe, and someone opened the bed cap of our truck sometime during the night. Thankfully we had taken everything inside. The living room only has seating for six, and there is not enough space to seat people at the dinning table and bar at the same time. (Only the living room as a view of the TV.) The bedroom upstairs has two bunkbeds which are side by side and not arranged like the picture; they take up 99% of the room, but the kids enjoyed it. It is a loft style room and open to the living room below, so no noise control between the two spaces. There was no wifi which is a huge negative especially when traveling with teenagers. There was satellite TV so we were able to keep up with all the March Madness basketball games. I would like to see a TV added to one or more of the bedrooms. Overall we enjoyed this property and would stay here again short term and if the price was right.
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We rented this unit because of its great location to the slopes. It was VERY close....maybe 150 yards to the lift ticket window, which was so nice since we had several small children learning to ski. We were disappointed by the size of the unit. It was not as roomy as it appeared in the pictures. It also could use updating, carpet shampoo, paint & a good clean on the white leather sofa (was dingy). I also didn't realize the unit didn't have Wifi and really could have used it to keep in touch with my work. There was also a phone number listed for the unit in the paperwork, but no phone (our cell phones worked so it wasn't a huge problem). We put the kids in the upstairs room with the bunkbeds, but it is a loft that opens up to the downstairs so we had to be extra quiet after the kids were down. The DVD player wasn't working upstairs and there was only a VCR and cassette player downstairs. There was Dish network so we did have a good selection for the kids. But overall, it worked for our purposes. Will probably look for a larger unit when we return. Everyone at the Kokopelli Property Management was very helpful and courteous. James greeted us upon arrival and was just checking the unit out to make sure it was ready for our visit when we arrived in Angel Fire. I would rent with Kokopelli again.
