ENJOY LIFE BY THE SEA!
Your beach chair is waiting!
Make beautiful memories with family & friends at the beach...
Our home is located in a peaceful neighborhood surrounded by nature, and just 1 block to the bay beach! Connect with nature. You can be as active or relaxed as you like. Sun. Sand. Shells. Bikes. Birds. Bay Breezes. Kayaks. Kites. Picnics. If you can tear yourself away, you are close enough to enjoy the local attractions, most less than 10 minutes away. But try to make it back in time for the most amazing sunsets! Take the chairs/kayaks to the beach and enjoy the show. If you have never vacationed on the Bay, don't rule it out. (If you have, you know what we mean...)
Our guests will enjoy a clean, bright, comfortable house, freshly painted, with new furnishings. A little beachy, inspired by nature, with a bit of global influence.
The first floor has a living room, eat-in kitchen, laundry area, master bedroom (queen) & full bath, a second bedroom (queen) & another full bath.
The second floor can be used as one very large master suite, or as three separate sleeping areas (queen, 3 twins). Perfect for families traveling with children. There is also a third full bath upstairs.
Outside there is an over sized & gated deck, and a fully fenced yard. Great for BBQ's and lawn games. There is also a small fire pit in the yard. The gated front porch is also a nice place to relax.
Our home and the Bay are pet-friendly. Up to two well-behaved dogs can stay. A pet deposit is required. You can walk your dog on a leash on the bay beaches all year round.
Kayaks & vests are available for use, as well as bikes & beach chairs. And we recommend that you use all of them. Fun!
There is no smoking inside the house, please. But dancing is encouraged!
We ask that you treat our home, our neighbors, the beach & other natural surrounding areas with respect.
Enjoy your stay! Make great memories! The area is beautiful year-round.
We currently live in PA, near the Poconos. We grew up in Schuylkill County, PA, but have lived in Philadelphia, a few other places, and then settled in Northern California for quite a few years. We love to travel and explore new places, but we always return to Cape May... it just has a certain charm. And we still have close friends in the area.
Maria Scott purchased this house in 2012
We looked at a lot of properties in the area, but we kept coming back to this one. We love nature & the outdoors & being so close to the beach. And so this house felt like a natural choice. We love being able to share it with family, friends & guests.
We sometimes like to travel with family and/or friends. So we wanted a space that had enough room to accommodate one, two or even three families, but still felt cozy & comfortable. And within walking distance to the beach. We do that quite a few times a day when we are there!
We rented this home so my family could all gather to share the Thanksgiving holiday. It's a lovely home--we used the first floor bedrooms and my brother and sister-in-law used the second floor so everyone had some privacy. It's only a 5 minute walk to the beach which we just loved. The house was stocked with all the "essentials" paper towels, tissues, etc. and was very clean and well kept. The large screen TV in the living room, which was very comfortable, was great.
Everything was perfectly described on the website so we had no surprises when we walked in. The owner, Maria, was very attentive and sent welcoming emails upon our arrival and departure.
The ladies in my family wanted a short get away to Cape May. Seeing the house online it seemed very nice. In person it was even better - clean- roomy-well appointed with washer/dryer/full kitchen/3 full bathrooms. Maria' Scott - the owner was wonderful to work with, she was most helpful and the house reflects a wonderful family environment. We had 2 small dogs with us and the fenced in yard was a major plus. I would definitely highly recommend this house to rent - and will plan on renting it in the future.
Andrea & Ladies of the family
Me, my wife and her 3 friends (and two dogs) stayed at Maria's house from Friday to Monday afternoon during Hurricane Matthew.
We had very rainy weather all day Saturday and the first half of Sunday, so were 'stuck' inside.
I use that word loosely because the house had so many fun things to do - plenty of new DVDs, a WII with a bunch of games, board games and more.
The 5 of us, and our 2 dogs had the best time.
Maria texted and checked in a few times to see how it was going, and to see if we needed anything.
This place could easily hold 8+ people in my opinion - the 5 of us and our 2 dogs didn't feel cramped at all, even though we had to stay inside for half the trip.
Thanks again, Maria!
I can't say enough about how pleased we were with our recent stay at this property. The house was spotless and extremely roomy. The beds were very comfortable. :). All amenities were available and the kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely stay again. Great access to the beaches and just the right location to go to the Wildwoods or Cape May. Marie was available by text/phone and even checked on us during our stay. I have two suggestions which are not complaints. My husband loved the outdoor shower. It would be wonderful to have a shelf in there for toiletries. Also it would have been nice to have regular kitchen chairs for the dining table. Thank you so much for keeping a spectacular vacation home. We look forward to future rentals.
Except for lack of hot water, everything was great. The house was clean and well furnished.
We will certainly consider going again.
This rental will live up to your expectations. The upstairs was perfect for my daughter's family. it's very spacious. The house is very comfortable and has everything you can think of. There are lots of toys and games. There is a lot of attention to detail that you don't find in some other properties.
The location is great too. It's a 15-20 minutes drive to Cape May. The block to the bay is a little further than I thought but very doable. Check out Fleck's Ice Cream just a short drive away.
Maria is very nice and easy to communicate with.
