Lovingly updated Cape rambler near Sesuit Harbor and Dennis bay beaches. Dennis Pines Golf course is nearby. Open concept floor plan makes for family fun. Very well equipped and furnished with A/C, Wi-Fi, new chaise/sofa, new outdoor shower, updated baths and wonderful new kitchen. Child and senior friendly with laundry, deck and yard. Close to beaches (1-2 miles) , restaurants, shops and bike trails. Well equipped for babies and children. Short ride to lovely bay beaches.
This house is close to many vacation activities and scenic 6A, yet is a safe, quiet and peaceful get away. It was my parents beloved retirement home, updated in 2012 to share with extended family and lucky renters.
The house has a great location near a number of fantastic beaches and restaurants. Be sure to check out the Sesuit harbor cafe - it is our families favorite place to eat while on the cape.
The bathrooms and kitchen have been recently updated and are spacious but the living room, dining room and bathrooms are dated and cluttered. Perhaps others will consider that a part of the cape charm….
The outdoor patio and furniture was dirty and needed to be cleaned by us before we could use it. The sliding door was broken and could not be easily opened. We were also informed that poison ivy was prevalent in the back yard preventing the kids from using it.
The location makes up for lot, but truthfully we expected more, this is a pure rental property that is now managed by owner from out of state and, in my opinion, the details have suffered for it. The owner asked if I wanted to “talk to her lawyer” after I told her that the property was not cleaned and available for 3 hours after the check in time, the sheets and blankets needed to be updated, and that the advertised air conditioning stopped working Thursday evening. I had felt that she should step up and do right by us. We were also charged $50 because I did not move back the 5 chairs (my mistake) that we put in the garage to de-clutter and a (completely laughable) claim that the kitchen was in disarray – no details given.
We’ve rented in the cape for 8 years now and this is the 1st property that I would think to rate poorly. Everyone has their tastes and expectations but we were obviously disappointed and will look elsewhere...
We looked at several properties all over Cape Cod before we selected this home, and did we select correctly.
This home is a beautifully equipped, clean, and very well stocked ranch style home. The pictures do not do it justice - particularly the kitchen - which offers a wrap around large granite countertop with highchairs. If you like to cook and entertain, the owner has provided you with EVERY cooking/serving amenity that you can imagine. Serving lobster? Special lobster plates/bibs/claw crackers provided. Want to BBQ corn on the cob on their spotless outdoor grill? She supplies those nifty corn on the cob holders to eat. I'm not kidding when my wife said "this is my dream kitchen".
The bedrooms and bathrooms have equal attention to detail.
There is an extensive deck in the patio area that overlooks an extremely beautiful marshland. The sunsets we viewed from the deck were stunning.
The owner provides extensive beach chairs and sand toys. There is a wonderful beach called Corporation Beach within a 5 minute drive. The town of Dennis is a quieter, historical side of Cape Cod, and this house sits on a cul de sac with only 5 homes.
The owner was an absolute pleasure to work with, accommodating our special requests, and was very quick to return phone calls. Highly suggest this property if this is what you are after.
The house was spacious, clean, and in the perfect location to explore the Cape. It was an easy walk to Sesuit Harbor where we enjoyed lobster rolls at Sesuit Harbor Cafe. We also hiked or biked everyday - all easily accessible driving from the house. One of the highlights was renting bikes at Barb's and biking to Chatham (24 mile roundtrip). The kitchen and bedroom layout provided plenty of room for reading and movie downtime when we got back each day from exploring. Overall, it was the perfect house to enjoy the charms of Cape Cod.
We really loved this beautiful house! We had a wonderful week on the Cape and it was so nice to have this house to come back to in between activities. We even found ourselves wanting to hang around more than usual and just enjoy relaxing there! It was very clean, very cute, very comfortable. The owner was super responsive and nice to work with. We'd recommend this property in a heartbeat and hope our plans find us there again. It's truly a Cape Charmer :)
I spent a week in this lovely home with friends. Not only is the rental stocked with everything you can imagine, but every last detail was thought out...from cooking utensils to beach gear to reading material and movies for those rare (but kind of wonderful) rainy days. I found the kitchen to be my favorite part of the house - it truly prvides a space to gather while you cook nad eat. You can play music or flip the tv on while you make your way around the open space. As a cook, I found every utensil and piece of equipment I could imagine, which was a pleasant surprise as most rentals are not so fully equipped. It was quite apparent that a lot of TLC went into designing the home, and small details like paintings and a few photos demonstrated that care and attention to detail.
The surrounding town is incrdibly charming and the beach is just a few miles away. I walked every morning for coffee and sunshine, and the area was a perfect combination of quiet and accessible. The house is a gem on a lovely streetI! would go back in a heartbeat!
I spent a wonderfully relaxing week at this lovely vacation rental with friends. This home is newly renovated and is a very comfortable place to spend your week away. The home sits on a quite road and the back yard opens to beautiful marsh land. On the inside, it is very clean and has all the comforts of being at home, from 3 showers (2 inside, 1 outdoor) to comfortable furniture and throw blankets to a kitchen equipped with everything you could ever need. There is also a great gas grill out back. It is the perfect setting for outdoor eating at the picnic table overlooking the marsh or sipping your coffee from the back deck. While we spent most days relaxing at the beach, nearby you can find the bike trails and shopping and dining are a short drive away.
Scenic view of marshlands. Near harbor and beaches, just north of scenic Kings Highway (Rte. 6A). Near Sesuit Harbor and lovely Dennis beaches.
