After years of renting homes on VRBO all over the world with different groups of family and friends the owners developed a keen sense about what they appreciated and expected in a professionally owned and operated luxury vacation home. The entire staff of Dallas Vacation Home would like to think they've perfected the product and are thrilled to share this experience of togetherness with other groups who might not have realized the true financial value and overall appeal of togetherness a vacation rental home provides!
With prior backgrounds in hospitality the owners and their staff strive to deliver a memorable experience for all our groups each and every time. We pride ourselves on a punctual pristine check in tailored to your groups specific needs.
We’re pleased to provide our guests with peace of mind with our full-time, on-call, housekeeping, maintenance and property management staff.
Rocio, Property Manager EXRADOINAIRE, will ensure your requests are met and will ensure a smooth check-in. She provides countless restaurant and recreational activity info neatly organized in the "Bishop Arts Manor Guide" located inside the home. D-link, Dart, Trolley schedules and transportation information are also included. She's an asset to our team and she will make your stay a memorable one. WE ALL WILL!!!!
Rocio professionally manages all three Dallas Vacation Home residences. Uptown Urban Oasis, Bishop Arts Manor and the Bishop Arts Bungalow.
We had a great experience in Dallas, had a event to attend and enjoyed your house along with our family and friends. Walked to the shops and bars and enjoyed drinks on the porch. No complaints. ( you may need to change a few light bulbs and stock up on toilet paper) Highly recommend it, enjoyed the complementary wine and appreciated having coffee there for us.
We rented both houses on Bishop Ave. for our wedding weekend. We got married at Kessler Park United Methodist with the reception in downtown Dallas and the locations of the houses couldn't have been better for both venues.
The bridesmaids got ready at one house (where my grandparents stayed) and the groomsmen got ready at the other house (where my out of town friends stayed). Both houses were absolutely perfect for what we needed, and the owners could not have been more accommodating and easy to work with! They even gave us a bottle of champagne and a personal card upon our arrival. Rocio is the best!
Both houses have been updated with the best amenities and are obviously kept in very good condition. They are even better than the pictures!
I would highly recommend staying at any of their houses (they also have one in uptown). Thanks for making my wedding weekend go off without a hitch! :)
The property was exactly as pictured, and was extremely spacious! My group had a wonderful stay here, and everything went more than smoothly. The house was extremely clean and organized when we arrived, and that is very appreciated! My same group is thinking of doing something similar again and renting a house to relax in for a couple of days, and if we choose to do it in Dallas, then we will definitely be coming back here!
This property was amazing! The online photos were extremely accurate. The house was super clean and fully stocked with all the necessary essentials (including full-size bottles of shampoos, body wash etc, in each bathroom!). The walk to the Bishop Arts District was 4-5 minutes and we used Uber to get downtown (~7 minutes). We lucked out with February weather, and spent a lot of time on the various porches. Rocio was extremely accommodating and even left us an adorable gift for my niece's 1st birthday. We had 9 adults and 4 kids...and there was plenty of room to find a little solitude away from everyone! If we decide to return to Dallas for another family gathering, we will DEFINITELY stay here again!
Great response to inquiries & follow up and a quick response to email questions on the day of check-in, as far as customer service goes. Great location and home! Love the Bishop Arts District and all its great restaurants, bars & quaint shops. The house layout is very flexible as far as a separate kitchen on each floor. Only con would be the loud noise while traversing the stairs but that can't be helped. Also, good patio spaces for conversing & entertaining. Clean linens in the bedrooms, furniture & tidy restrooms. Overall, would highly recommend!
I stayed here with 7 other girls for my sister's bachelorette party. We all had plenty of bathrooms & beds. The upstairs living room is so big! I swear that couch could seat 20...
The house has charming historic-home features like the flooring and frames, but the kitchen is fully updated. We loved it and would definitely stay here again. Oh, and literally a five minute walk to Bishop Arts, so no one had to worry about driving. We easily fit five cars inside the gates driveway too. Awesome experience- thank you!
The Bishop Arts District is a stones throw away. Dallas Convention Center and Downtown Dallas are a short 7 min drive or 15 min bike ride away through the neighborhood and over a safe bridge (avoiding the interstate exchange entirely). Bishop Arts is also less than 10 minutes away from Uptown and from some of the best shopping and museums in Dallas.
