There you'll find many more restaurants and coffee shops, stores, gift shops and ABC convenience marts that stay open late for those last minute items. A little further and you'll find the Farmers' Market where you can find fresh Hawaiian flowers, fruit, veggies and handmade gifts.

A number of shopping centers with larger supermarkets like Safeway, Sac'n Save, and more are close by. Costco, WalMart, Target, Sports Authority and Long's Drugs are nearby too.

Major world renowned golf courses and world record marlin fishing are close. Swimming, hiking, and bicycle riding everywhere at the home of the world famous 'IRONMAN Triathlon' held every October. Bring your pole and surf fish along the coast if you like - no license required!

The condo complex has an ocean front pool, Jacuzzi, BBQ's and an outside, covered patio complete with dining tables and chairs. Parking is always FREE for guests.

Fresh, spotless accommodations only steps from the water met all of our expectations.

The property lives up to the high standard advertised. We highly recommend this to others and will definitely be our selection for future stays in Kona. Good location excellent condition perfect layout and space

The condo was wonderful had everything you need and more perfect for relaxing great views of the ocean very well kept and close to town the only small problem was you couldn't get to any of the condos except maybe bottom floor without climbing small set of stairs difficult for luggage but would stay there again

Lovely condo with a view

The condo is exceptionally clean, well appointed, close to town for shops and restaurants and the view of the ocean is amazing.

Each morning we watched surfers, parasailing and boats as we had breakfast on the lanai.

Only thing I would ask Dan to add is spices for BBQ and a few condiments in the fridge. This was the only condo we stayed at that had a completely empty fridge, no anything. We shopped and left things behind, didn't do any cooking only BBQ. Also could use utensil for the barbie, if Dan has them I couldn't find them.

Also the microwave is really not for heating anything in except maybe a cup. Too small for even a paper plate.

We travel quite often and I am asked for my suggestions from many owners though Dan didn't ask I wanted to share my suggestions with him as he does have a wonderful condo in Kona that he takes great pride in and rightfully so.

Dan, thank you for having us as your guests at Kona Reef, we enjoyed our stay at your wonderful home away from home.

Best Rental In Kona!!!

We have stayed in many rentals all over the world and this was by far one of the nicest! The unit is extremely clean, very well stocked kitchen, bathroom and even closet with all sorts of water and pool toys/accessories. Third floor unit - directly facing the ocean. (There is an elevator in the building or stairs) Very nicely furnished - the king bed was VERY comfortable, beautiful walk-in shower. Gorgeous (look brand new) washer & dryer in the unit! Absolutely spectacular lanai - right on the water - you can wake up and go to sleep with the waves! The location of this property is also stellar as it's an easy walk into town - all flat and most of it right on the water. The complex has a nice pool (also on the ocean) and is quiet. Besides all of the above - the owners were extremely helpful in offering suggestions on everything from what radio station to turn to in your rental car to restaurants, local activities and much more.

The owners obviously take great pride in this condo and go to great lengths to make sure their renters have a wonderful experience - whether for a few days or a few weeks. We highly recommend this choice!

Another Amazing Stay

My husband and I spent 4 ½ weeks at this condo for the second year in a row. It has everything we want for a stay in Kona. Here are some of the highlights:

Unit – Very well cleaned and maintained; Comfy king-sized bed (new since our last stay); Large walk-in shower with good water pressure; Full-size washer and dryer (new since our last stay); Granite counters (new since our last stay) in the kitchen with all the amenities you will need; Good seating in living and dining area (but to be honest, we hardly used this area), because we spent the majority of our time on the Lanai – directly oceanfront with comfortable chairs and tables, both regular and bar height.

Condo – Free parking; Large covered BBQ area with seating; Pool (both BBQ and pool in a secured area); 5 min. walk to all the action on Ali’I Drive.

Owner – Dan is great to deal with; Quick response time for any inquiries; Checks in to make sure all is well.

We have stayed at a number of condos on the various Hawaiian Islands over the years and this is definitely our favourite – a true home-away-from-home. We will be back!

Convenient location, well stocked condo. Really nice lanai and ocean view.

The condo is nicely located right next to Kona so we were easily able to walk through town and shop. There is an ABC store nearby for essentials. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby too. Next door is a nice resort that does luaus. Safeway, Walmart, and Costco are within driving distance for groceries. The condo was well equipped with essentials that we needed including everything we needed for our beach excursion (cooler, zip lock bags, sunscreen, towels, mat, umbrella and chairs). It has a radio, DVD player, books, salt, pepper, olive oil, pots and pans, and plastic and regular dishes. The pool and hot tub areas are really nice as are the grills that we used for grilling our dinners. The view of the ocean from this particular condo is nice and much more private and quiet than the condos near the pool. We were able to see whales, surfers, para sailers, etc from our balcony. The owners really tried to make sure we had most everything we could need including dishes, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. I would stay here again if I came back to this island. It was clean, well stocked, nice firm bed, etc. We had a great time.
