My husband and I live in Dallas Texas with our little girl Grace. We love to spend time as a family on the beaches of 30a making memories. Our favorite time to visit 30A is in the fall and Winter Holidays. Football and Christmas lights are much better when your at the beach. Actually we believe everything is better at the beach.
Rainne Brant purchased this house in 2013
After exploring 30A we felt that SeaGrace truly has the best of all worlds. It is a large spacious home with beautiful ocean views yet close to all the action. Why SeaGrace? When we are at the beach we have two priorities: to be able to see the ocean and spend time with our little girl Grace. At SeaGrace we can enjoy both! We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
SeaGrace has all the amenities of a home with the luxuries of beach resort style living. Everything is in walking distance to our home, it is at the front row of a very large community and that is one of the reasons why we chose SeaGrace. It is easy for our family and our two year old to walk to the beach, pool, shops, or restaurants with us.
We love Sea Grace! The house has everything you need for a week long stay at the beach with family and friends. There are plenty of beds, and the house is big enough that you don't feel like everyone is on top of each other. The house is close to everything--2 minute walk from Seacrest shops and restaurants, and just beyond that to Rosemary and Alys. We rented bikes for the week, but everything was easily walkable. You can also easily walk to the beach and to the pool. There is shuttle access, but it is so close, we never needed it. This is definitely a plus compared to other homes further back in Seacrest.
My only complaint is lack of communication by the owner. I reached out on multiple occasions and in multiple ways (through VRBO website/app, phone, text) to get check-in information about a week out--always polite). Two days before our trip, I spent hours escalating this with VRBO--thinking we had paid for a house/vacation we would never see. NOT the way you want to spend your last minute time before you leave town! Very stressful! She eventually responded to my husband saying she had sent an email, but VRBO and I could not find the information anywhere we looked through their website/app--the way all other communication I had received was delivered (she also didn't respond to VRBO's escalated requests for information). We also got locked out of the house the afternoon before we left. The dates we had the house rented through VRBO apparently did not match the dates the owner had. I called the owner and left a voicemail and contacted VRBO. Again no response for me. But when my husband tried, she responded to him, and we got back into the house about an hour later. It was very strange. I manage a few properties myself, and rented through Airbnb the very next week (that experience was flawless). I would suggest when booking that the owner let renters know when and how she will contact them with check-in instructions and what to do if there are any significant problems during their stay. I spent many hours trying to contact someone, when things could have been handled much more efficiently. Communication was very stressful for this rental. We have rented through VRBO and Airbnb on multiple occasions. This is the first time we've ever had any sort of problem. Communication is my only complaint.
We rented this home the last week of May and everything is as advertised. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, bike rentals and shopping. We only needed our car to go 3 miles to the Publix and even then the Grocery Butler could have run them to us. The beach started a new policy the day we arrived and the owners were right on it and we had passes within a short period of time. The owners responded to each and any question we had on our trip. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting to visit this area.
SeaGrace is a wonderful home for a large family or multi...the owner has great taste in family friendly decor. We had 6 kiddos and 4 adults staying comfortably-everyone having their own "space".
Great access to Seacrest/Rosemary eateries, just across the street from beach access, bike racks just outside the home and a great area for littles to ride big wheels, etc.
We've stayed in Seacrest before and this home is by far our favorite. For the location, price, and amenities.
We would definitely stay here again!!
Sea Grace was a beautifully appointed home in excellent condition. And the location was outstanding. It was the closest property in SeaCrest to the beach and bike path. We never got in our car after we arrived and went to from Alys to Seacrest to Rosemary. The house had everything that we needed and was very comfortable for two families - plenty of group space as well as space for privacy. We plan to return next year to the same house!
We usually stay in Rosemary or Watercolor, but this year chose Seacrest bc of the pool.
The house itself is quite nice. There were a few minor things I think would make it better: too few bath towels - and we only had 6 people in the house, no oven mitts in the kitchen, and the grill is placed in the yard which had not been tended to and to use it, we would have had to stand in knee high weeds. Otherwise, it was well stocked, comfortable, tastefully appointed, and as convenient to the beach and pool as you can get in Seacrest. The previous renters did not leave the pool passes, and we were never provided replacements during our week. We still went to the pool, but because the security guard mentioned below also worked the pool and questioned people, my kids wouldn't go to the pool without one of us with them since we didn't have official passes.
The one beach access for Seacrest is through Sunset Beach and a security guard is there at all times. Most of them sat there and were pleasant, but one of them spent his time harassing visitors. My sister was actually staying in Sunset Beach at the same time, and he harassed them as well, questioning them everytime they accessed the gate by bicycle and trying to prevent my children from entering the gate with their cousins. It was very bizarre and off-putting, and many of the guests were discussing how unpleasant this made the trip to and from the beach. I never once saw anyone at Seacrest behaving in a way that would warrant a reprimand, but many got them nonetheless. There is a sign posted that they do not want skateboards or rollerblades on the sidewalk to the beach. That's fine. However, there is apparently an absolute "no wheels" policy as well on a less visible sign and he was fond of waving a piece of paper in families faces as they left the beach in the afternoon with strollers and beach wagons telling them to pick up their items and carry them. It appears this is in fact a policy though we were not told by the owners. Our kids are older and we didn't have a stroller, but if you have little ones, you need to be aware of this. I can't imagine trying to get kids under 4 to the beach without a stroller. There was a beach wagon at our house we used for 2 days prior to being informed of the policy and told that we would be banned from the beach access if we attempted to use it again. Like I said, it was extremely bizarre and unexpected to be treated this way. We won't be returning.
Really nice house. Very family friendly. Great location, close to pool and walking distance to beach. 3rd time we have stayed I this house. We had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing your house with us.
