Luxury two bedroom apartment situated on the ground floor of the Villa Milena development. The second bedroom has bunk beds that are very popular with children.
Naturally, the views of Vlaska Bay and the surrounding areas from the balcony are beautiful.
The two bedroom apartments on the ground floor Instead the second bedroom that contains bunk beds and is perfect for children. They also have beautiful patios where you can enjoy easy access to the pool.
The apartment is an official 4 star letting and has been inspected by a member of the Croatian tourist board. This ensures the quality of the apartment and there are very few of similar quality on the island.
Villa Milena is a beautiful development consisting of 5 apartments located in the town of Milna to the west side of Brac.
There are two premium two bedroom apartments on the top floor, two standard two bedroom apartments on the ground floor and one bedroom apartment is on the first floor.
Each apartment has a comfortable open plan kitchen, dining and living area that is finished and furnished to a quality standard. The living area leads out to a spacious balcony/patio with dining area where you can enjoy some al fresco dining while the sun sets over the Dalmatian coast.
The pool area is shared among the six apartments along with an outdoor BBQ area.
The premium apartments have larger second bedrooms with single beds and enjoy sea views from the balcony whereas the standard apartment has bunk beds in the second bedroom and does not enjoy sea views. Although there is a nice garden to enjoy.
The development is only a short walk to the town of Milna.
The apartments are located close to the town of Milna and all of it's local amenities. The closest restaurant and shop are only 500m from the apartment.
There are two marinas in Milna and Villa Milena is located close to both marinas. It is possible to berth your boat/yacht in these marinas for around €50 per night. Likewise, you can rent a boat from this marina if required. Please enquire about this for more up to date prices.
The nearest beach is also very close to the development and is less than an eight minute walk. This is a stone beach and there are other beaches within walking distance of the apartments. The coastline around the Milna area is beautiful made up of many inlets and small bays. It is no surprise that diving is popular in this area and one can simply snorkel in the local bay or join the local diving club. The diving school is for both learners and more experienced diving.
If you fancy a day trip to Split there is a regular catamaran that goes directly from Milna to Split. This is a passenger catamaran so will not take cars. The catamaran takes around 45 - 50 minutes and sails on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday. The catamaran leaves Milna in the morning at 9.15 and returns from Split at 4.30pm. The timetable for Sunday is not as flexible and leaves Split at 6.45pm and returns from Milna at 7.45pm.
There is also a more regular ferry service from Split to Supetar which is the capital town of Brac. These are large car ferries that can travel every two hours during the summer months.
We stayed in Villa Milena in August 2011. The apartment is modern with anything you would expect from a holiday rental.
It is close to the town and the beach and easy to find with a car. There is a hill to the town and beach and it can be quite steep on the walk back up but I imagine it is the same for most of the apartments in the area that are not first or second line to the sea.
All in all a very comfortable stay and I would highly recommend it.
Having not been to Croatia before, I didn't know what to expect. Thought the best way to explore would be hire our own apartment and car and see how the locals live.
Communication with the owners has been fantastic, they provided me with the information I needed very quickly along with lots of information about the local area. This made getting to the apartment quick and easy.
The apartment itself was spotless and modern, exactly what we were looking for. Had all the modcons we needed in order to the make the most of our stay and was situated in a quiet location with stunnign views.
The village and the beach were only a 10 min walk away. The walk down to the village was relatively easy but coming back was a bit of a trek with it all being uphill. We visited many parts of Brac, Hvar and Split during our stay and were always glad to come back to the peace and quiet of our stunning apartment.
Thank you Croatia for a fantastic holiday, we will be back again soon!
Milna is a beautiful old Mediterranean village located on the west side of Brac island. While many locations in Croatia have lost their original beauty due to mass tourism and over development, the same cannot be said for Milna. Most of the buildings in the area are finished with the famous white Brac stone and retain many of their original features. Milna is truely the Mediterranean as it once was.
Beautiful crystal clear waters against a backdrop of lush forests and winding valleys, it is very easy to see why people fall in love with Milna. While the town has retained its Mediterranean feel, it is still home to one of the largest marinas in the area which is frequented by boats and yachts all summer long.
A good selection of restuarants, cafes and beaches are sure to make your stay in Milna one to remember. Once you have explored all that Milna has to offer why not take the catamaran to Split for a daytrip or rent a car and explore the beautiful island of Brac.
