Why Kerry chose Northeast Neighbors
Salem is a lovable small city -- big enough to have a lot to offer, without being so big that you spend all your time sitting in traffic. It is right in the middle of the Willamette Valley, within a short drive to a great variety of natural wonders to see and activities to enjoy -- 40 minutes to Portland, 1 hour to the amazing coast, 1 hour to get up into the Cascade mountains.... You can take a day trip and visit a few wineries and be home for dinner, the same for hiking or skiing. There is also a variety of very good eats in Salem -- restaurants, cafes, pubs, etc. The historic downtown is charming to explore, various quirky buildings, the Reed Opera house and the Elsinore Theatre....
What makes this Condo unique
Our property is unique because of its central location, with a large creek running past the beautiful back deck. While sipping your evening wine overlooking the creek, you feel as though you are in the woods rather than the city. There has been an abundance of wildlife over the years including Great Blue Herons, salmon and beaver. The creek is a sanctuary for many different species of birds.

Sitting on the large deck overlooking Mill Creek each morning, drinking coffee - perfect and so relaxing. The location was wonderful for walking our Bella: beautiful trees, lovely older homes, a 20 minute walk to Starbucks and the Capitol. Kerry, the owner was a pleasure to work with - so responsive and helpful. Salem is a lovely town - quiet, clean, with lots to see and do. And don't get me started on the wineries!
We liked the neighborhood and wished we could have spent more time at the condo. We really enjoyed breakfast and end of day cocktails on the porch overlooking g the creek.
Perfect Salem spot
It's even better than it looks in the photos. The deck is huge, comfortable, and beautiful — we hardly wanted to do anything but lounge around there and watch the creek. Close to downtown, groceries, a great breakfast restaurant & a classic donut place. Will definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay
We were very happy with the location. Close to fairgrounds, shopping, dinning, etc. We would stay again if we are in the area.
Amazing and peaceful place in the center of Salem
Karrie's Kundo is amazing.
We stayed there for two whole months with our two daughters.
The house is so well kept.
The kitchen is super-equipped.
If you get to Salem - this is the place for you.
And Karry - amazing. :-)
she is available for any question or problem you have.
And the most wonderful thing about this house is the large balcony facing the mill creek.
Thank you very much Kerry for being part of our journey at this time
When we get back to Salem, we're definitely chosen at Carrie's house again
Absolutely loved it!
This property is amazing. From all of the updates throughout the home and the creek running directly beside it, there were zero complaints while staying here for several months. Kerry and Lee were accommodating and were able to meet any needs we had while staying there. The neighbors are friendly, parking is covered, and it is a very convenient location within Salem. If we had the opportunity, we would definitely be staying here again!! Thanks for such an awesome place!
This location provides quiet serenity within an urban setting. It is nestled in a Historic neighborhood walking distance through stately homes to downtown Salem. Willamette University is 8 blocks away, as is the Capitol Building and beautiful surrounding gardens.
The Amtrak Train Station and the Mission Mill are less than a mile away. Walk to Downtown Salem and enjoy restaurants along High Street next to the Historic Elsinore Theater. Visit the boutiques along State Street and the Hallie Ford Museum and many local shops. While downtown, stroll along the Riverfront Park. Many outdoor events are held there throughout the summer and where children enjoy the carousel horses that were hand carved by local volunteers. A must walk, cross the Willamette River on the old Railroad Bridge recently acquired and refurbished for bicycle and pedestrian traffic. The bridge joins the two parks, the Riverfront and Wallace Marine Park in West Salem.
Salem is centrally located for visits to Portland, the Oregon coast, and the Cascade Mountains. It is also surrounded by the Willamette wine country which boasts hundreds of vineyards and wineries.
If relaxation is what you are after, a dinner al fresco on the deck overlooking the creek is delightful.
