My husband and I found this place in March and I was so happy to have found it. We had planned on doing a bed and breakfast for our trip, but last minute found this house. It was PERFECT! This cottage had everything needed, I was not let down! This place is literally steps away from the beach, which was something we've been looking for! We loved how this place is practically close to everything. Definitely perfect for our anniversary celebration and we are looking forward to coming back again next anniversary. The owners of this place are really nice too. If it's just you and your wife/husband, do rent this place. Even a family of four would still be perfect. It's only August right now and I'm looking forward to the month of May. Yay!!!!!
One of the best vacations ever. The owners and family who rent this house are very friendly and accommodating. This sweet little cottage is absolutely perfect in every way. The location couldn't be better. You are in walking distance of everything you could possibly want or need, and well...the beach is your front yard. We touched every inch of LA and San Diego, but Imperial Beach is where it's at. If you're looking for a chill, non-touristy beach town-look no further. Thank you so very much for helping create sweet memories with my Son.
We stayed for 5 nights. It was the best vacation we have had yet. The owners are amazing and knowledgeable about the area. The location of this property is almost too good to be true. You are literally right on the beach. The Pier is located a few steps away. Lots of fisherman. The restaurant at the end of the pier is Tin Fish. Amazing food! We went to the ice cream shop called Cowabunga every day. My 5 year old son was in heaven! They also have great coffee and lattes! We woke up every morning with the absolute most beautiful view of the ocean. Watching all the surfers was so much fun!! We took a walk down the beach every morning and collected shells and sand dollars. This was also a great memory for my son. I honestly couldn't of asked for a better vacation and vacation house. This house is appropriate for everyone. Friends...romantic getaway... small family. You will not be disappointed. The only down fall which didn't really bother us was how busy the beach was on the weekends. Since the house was located at a main entrance onto the sand. It became a gathering place for locals to meet and talk with their friends. During the week we didn't experience the noise and busyness. I can't wait to come down from Nebraska and stay again!! I do suggest renting a car to take you to Coronado or into downtown San Diego. Everything is so close and you definitely want to experience it all!! Thanks to Suzanne and Tom for making our vacation so memorable. We will be returning customers year after year :) From, Kristina, Erin, and beach boy Parker
Second time we have visited and are coming again in the spring! Love the low key of the cottage, beach, and surrounding area! So much fun walking the beach, flying kites, sitting on the deck reading, collecting seashells, working on my creations, and having little intimate meals there! Perfect for two seniors who love peace and solitude but would also love to come with a girlfriend for a creative retreat!
We stayed at this cottage just for the weekend with our dogs. Great location, right on the beach and close to everything. Bed was comfy, shower hot. Only complaints were microwave did not work well and we were not allowed to have our dogs on the beach, we had to walk down a few blocks. This did not stop us from enjoying ourselves and we will definitely come back!
Imperial Beach is located within 15 to 30 minutes drive from downtown San Diego, Little Italy, Balboa Park, Lindberg Field, Old Town, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Coronado, and many other points of interest in the area. The beach is level and good for walking, surfing, and is near the city’s fishing pier. With a population of about 29,000, it is a classic little beach town.
