16th Arrondissement Passy Trocadero Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2 Elegant Haussmanian Bldg

Imagine walking out of your apartment and seeing “La Grande Dame en Fer” (the Eiffel Tower) directly in front of you…grand and dominating during the day, and sparkling at night. “Le Baccarat” is nestled on a quiet side-street 1 block equidistant from the famous Baccarat museum with its elegant Philippe Starck restaurant and the renowned Asian Guimét museum. This large elegant studio is located on the ground level on a private courtyard in a beautifully maintained Haussmanian building. The apartment was completely gutted in 2013 and rebuilt to top standards. “Le Baccarat” boasts every modern and top of the line convenience with state of the art technology. The apartment has 3 ½ meter ceilings and 2 sets of large double French doors that open onto the courtyard. The fully equipped kitchen fulfills any need from a simple breakfast to multi-course dinners at home. The modern, “American” style bathroom features a suspended WC, large walk-in shower and towel heater. There is ample storage space with 3 large armoires, a deep closet and a slightly elevated bed under which most luggage can be stowed. The large “smart” TV can be used for 3D movies (glasses in desk), or for internet use. Fiber-optic WiFi is provided along with free land line calls to anywhere in Europe and the U.S.

The location is ideal: ½ block off rue Kléber, “Le Baccarat” is midway between the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées and Le Trocadéro (each an easy 5 min walk), which houses the Palais de Tokyo, Musée de l’Homme and overlooks the Eiffel Tower. The area is vibrant during the day and active in the early evening with many bistros and restaurants just minutes away; yet with few real bars, noise is kept to a minimum.

Within a 2 block radius there are more than 30 bistros, cafés and restaurants, ranging from informal to elegant dining. There are numerous patisseries for your morning baguette, a Pharmacy (30 yards), dry cleaner, 2 large grocery stores, Tabac for coffee, sundries and papers, and several florists. You are 5 minutes from the heart of shopping on the Champs Elysées and 30 different movie theaters. Twice a week (Tuesday & Saturday morning) there is the beautiful open-air market 2 blocks away on Place Ièna.

About Marilyne Tron

As the daughter of french parents, I spent my life growing up both in the U.S. and France...so I have spent my life loving both. I have always loved Paris, but even when living there never owned an apartment. My dream was to own an apartment and to let others enjoy it as much as I do. As I know the city very well, I spent years looking for an apartment that matched the location, accessibility and neighborhood I was looking for. When I saw this one, though I knew I needed to do a lot of work (it was completely gutted), I knew it was 'the one'. I hope guests who stay here will enjoy it as much as we do.

Marilyne Tron purchased this apartment in 2012

Why Marilyne Tron chose 16th Arrondissement Passy Trocadero

In an elegant 18th C Haussmanian building, the apartment is ideally situated. It is within 5 min walking to the Champs Elysées, the Arch of Triumph and the Trocadéro overlooking the Eiffel Tower. It is central to everything, but is on a side street with its own private courtyard and is therefore very quiet. With 3 Metro lines within a few blocks and 4 bus lines, not to mention it's fantastic location for walking, all of Paris lies at your feet.

Chic & Comfortable Apartment; Live Like a Local

  • 5 of 5

I could not recommend this apartment more. In fact, I've already recommended it to friends and it was a hit.

Everything about staying in this flat makes you feel like a local. It is located on the ground floor of a residential apartment building on a quiet block mere steps away from local cafes, bistros and stylish hotels. The 30-second walk across the street to grab some chocolate croissants and coffee sure beats over-priced hotel breakfasts. Conveniently, there is even a little grocer next door for the essentials. To be sure, while not directly in the midst of the tourist throngs of the 1st and 6th Arrondissements, the location is perfect for sight-seeing. Several Metro stops are within an 8-10 minute stroll from the front door and, in different directions, the Seine River, Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe are also steps away. That is not to say that Marilyne, the owner, does not stock the place with "almost" all of one's needs: a bottle of red wine, some cookies and a booklet full of her personal recommendations for restaurants, bars and sites awaited us.

Regarding the apartment itself, it is easily spacious enough for a couple, even with a young child in tow. Everything about it captures European chic with touches of American comfort and amenities. The bed is cozy and comfortable, perfect for sleeping off jetlag. The bathroom is modern and clean. The shower has great pressure and the water stays warm throughout --- a must for my wife, but certainly not the norm for many apartment rentals we've stayed in throughout Europe. My wife and I also made good use of the washer/dryer. A clutch amenity for an extended stay.

For a taste of what it would be like to own your own apartment in the heart of Paris, I unreservedly recommend this place. For the price, it presents a great value alternative to some of the luxury hotels in the area, while giving up practically NONE of the luxuries that come with them. Marilyne and her team will even help arrange drop-off and pick-up from the area and provide concierge-like tips for the area.

Charming and Lovely Parisian Experience

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this apartment!! I have stayed at nice hotels in Paris on work trips but this apartment provides a more charming and authentic Parisian experience. The apartment has large, elegant French doors, which provide a view of a lovely private courtyard. The interior of the apartment is cozy and chic. The appliances and bathroom are modern. Marilyne seems to have thought of everything that one might need to be comfortable (and pampered)! She even had a bottle of French wine and a basket of treats waiting for us upon arrival. Marilyne was also very attentive to us throughout our stay. The location of the apartment is excellent. If this apartment is available when I return to Paris, I will definitely stay here!

Dreaming of living in Paris

  • 5 of 5

This was such a great apartment! Seriously, you will feel like a local when you stay here. I was traveling alone and felt safe and so very well taken care of. Marilyne made certain that I had everything that I needed and even helped me by letting me know what was going on during the time I was there. If I lived in Paris this is what my apartment would be like. Nice linens, updated and everything you could need including a washer and dryer. The neighborhood is close to everything so it was easy for me to get around. I definately recommend it and plan to stay here again soon!

It felt like Paris

  • 5 of 5

All of the reviews on this site have been wonderful descriptions that proved to be accurate. I am not sure what more I can add except to say that you will "feel Paris" in this location. Everything is so close and convenient and Marilyne has thought of every detail to make sure you are comfortable - there is even a towel heater!!

I have traveled extensively using accommodations like these and this is by far the best. If you're looking at this now - save yourself the time of comparing many places and just book it. You won't be disappointed.

Cozy Corner in Paris

  • 5 of 5

When I walked in, I immediately wanted to buy this apt!

A PERFECT pied-a-terre in Paris but I could have stayed for a year......

Every detail of housing for travelers has been thought of by Marilyne & I was as comfortable here as in my own home

Travelling solo for few days before my husband arrived on business, I could not have been more well looked-after

My only regret is having to leave this delightful spot to check-in @ business conference hotel

As it turned out, I was much happier here!

Thank you ever so much,

Wonderful stay in Paris

  • 5 of 5

We very much enjoyed our recent stay at Le Baccarat. It is located in a safe and upscale Paris neighborhood, close to numerous cafes, with easy Metro access to all the Paris attractions.

La Tour Eiffel, La Trocadero, l'Arc de Triomphe - all are within walking distance. We also found neighborhood parks/green spaces, as well as a couple of museums we didn't have time to explore.

The apartment is newly and tastefully remodeled, with high ceilings and large windows. Plenty of closet/storage space, comfortable bed, nice linens. No street noise!

Our stay was short-term, but with the well appointed, modern kitchen and bath, this apartment offers everything you would need for a comfortable long term stay as well.

It was very important that my husband was able to stay connected to his business while away, therefore the fantastic WiFi connection and free phone calls to the U.S (included) were a huge plus.

Marilyne, the owner, and Joly, her manager, are gracious, accommodating, and accessible. The apartment was very clean, with everything in working order, we didn't have to call them for anything.

Marilyne clearly wants you to enjoy Paris and her lovely apartment, as you will experience through her extra thoughtful and personal touches - a welcome basket (with wine :-), books, maps, restaurant recommendations, etc. for your information in the apartment. We would also recommend using the car service she works with for reliable and prompt transportation from/to the airport.

This was my husband's first visit to Paris. I have been there numerous times for work and play. We were both happy that we chose to stay at Le Baccarat - a great value and Paris experience......
