This cozy a-frame getaway is perfect for a couple's getaway or especially for an extended stay in the area. It is 2000 square feet 2 bedroom +, 2 bathroom home, with a full washer and dryer. It is near historic downtown Gig Harbor, within walking distance (if you like hills) to great restaurants, marinas, wine bars, yoga studios, shopping, coffee shops, and parks. Our Gig Harbor home comes with everything you need for a great getaway; wireless internet, flat screen TV with cable, dvds, and so much more. Nice parking on the quiet street in front of our home and a short walk up the scenic driveway and you can feel right at home. The home has an awesome deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We fell in love with Gig Harbor, and our home will be the perfect place for others who wish to explore the community.
It is located 0.7 miles from the harbor and Anthony's restaurant, Devoted Kiss breakfast and lunch, Marketplace grille, and Finholms deli. Within a mile are kayak rentals, paddle board and boat rentals, Donkey Creek Park and the Gig Harbor history museum. You will want to walk to everything, especially if you like hills. The Gig Harbor summer concerts and events and the world famous Tides Tavern and Green Turtle waterfront fine dining are less than two miles away. Several great golf courses nearby including Chambers Bay, which was the site for the 2015 U.S. Open.

This home gives you the real feel of the pacific northwest along with all the amenities of Gig Harbor. There is plenty of fun to be had nearby, should you wish to go exploring. Tacoma is a 20 minute drive away. The Tacoma Art Museum and Chihuly's Glass Museum are nearby. Explore the quaint towns of Poulsbo and Port Orchard or take the ferry from Bremerton to Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. Gig Harbor is an excellent location for exploring the Olympic Peninsula and the many islands of the area.

We purchased this property as a get-away when we found out our oldest son and his wife were having a baby (they live in Seattle). We are active and love to hike, walk, and golf. Find this to be a truly relaxing getaway.

We saw this house and instantly fell in love with the cozy feel of the space, as well as the entire village of Gig Harbor.
This house is truly unique due to the proximity of the heart of Gig Harbor, as well as the true Pacific Northwest feel of the view of the fir trees from the A-Frame Home. We'd be happy to have you enjoy this home as your own for a week or a month or a season.
We loved this place. The cabin was AWESOME! Located in a beautiful, quiet, well-maintained neighborhood, with everything we needed included. The location was perfect for our vacation. Spent four days playing golf and visiting relatives -- located 30 minutes from three of our favorite NW golf courses. We enjoyed great meals on the harbor which is located just five minutes from the cabin.
We travel to the Seattle area several times a year, and this is definitely our 'go-to' place from now on. Highly recommended.
I came up here with my oldest son to check out the area for a retirement home. The house was fantastic, very clean and had all the necessary amenities. The property was very close to the actual harbor, the shops and restaurants,
We had a great time and I am definitely going to retire up here. The fact that the house was only 5 minutes or so from the harbor was a big plus. Just a few minutes down the road and we were at the shops restaurants and all the sights.
As I previously stated the house was excellent. Plenty of room great beds and plenty of chairs and couches to relax in when we stayed home. Nice large screen tv which my son really enjoyed. The house is set in the trees with plenty of large windows to look out of.
As it was colder during our stay we took advantage of the heating system in the house which permitted us to switch on heat in whatever part of the house we were without heating up the whole house. The instructions on how to use the heat controls were very visible and easy to use, which made it more enjoyable.
Some previous tenants have mentioned regarding not being able to park in the driveway or outside the garage but the street parking was great and it was not a long walk to the house. At night the whole driveway was lit up with automatic lighting and that made it easy after dark to get to the house.
The house was at the cul de sac end of the street and it was nice and quite with no passing traffic to annoy us.
Each morning it was great to wake up and look out at the majestic fir trees which surrounded the house. As I walked down the driveway to my car I really enjoyed the fresh smell of all of nature around me.
I managed to go to the gym while I was up here and there were about 5 different ones to choose from. I was also very impressed with all the different types of shops here including a Costco and a very nice cinema.
I also found a very nice church of my denomination to go to on Sunday and met plenty of friendly locals there.
I will be bringing my wife and twin sons up to Gig Harbor this summer and I really hope to stay here again.
My husband and I just returned home two days ago from staying at this lovely A-frame nestled in the woods in Gig Harbor and we are still talking about what a perfect place it was for us! We were there for my 50th class reunion in Port Orchard and a family reunion. My daughter, her husband and our 9 year old granddaughter stayed for 3 of our 5 nights and they agreed about how perfect it was. Great area on the main floor for all of us to be together but they had privacy upstairs for them and we had the very nice master bedroom on the main level with the shower room. The house is supplied with everything you need! It is very close to town but you don't feel like it because it's in such a private area nestled in the woods! We hope to go back sometime! Oh, and the owners were always very quick to respond to any emails or texts I sent them with questions about our stay.
My family had the best and most relaxing vacation staying here. Best vacation rental I've been in a long time, everything was comfortable and clean. Wonderful street and neighbors. Perfect location! Beautiful house!
We spent a week here and it was great. After the adventures of the day, it was so nice to return to such a peaceful and comfortable home. The Zellers are just wonderful owners. The house was clean and decorated in happy, bright colors. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy Gig Harbor and all the sites in the area.
Open, spacious, comfortable home with lots of natural light. It feels like a forest setting though it is very close to downtown Gig Harbor, in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. Furnished with 3 queen beds, (excellent quality beds), 1 twin bed, 2 futon beds; owner says sleeps 5. Kitchen was outfitted for light cooking, (no skillets or dutch ovens), plenty of dishes and appliances. The house is convenient to downtown Gig Harbor, though if you intend to walk be sure you can manage the quite steep hills on the way back "home". The on-site washer and dryer are a plus, especially if you plan to stay a long time.
The house itself was very clean and fairly well maintained, but the windows were due for some TLC; we cleaned the sky-lights with the long handled squeegee from the garage so we could see out of the bedroom windows. We also replaced several burned-out light bulbs.
Note that the owner does not allow guests to use the drive-way, (not obvious why not). The door to the house is on the side at the middle of the house, and you are required to park at the front of the lot. This is quite inconvenient since it leaves a moderate distance to carry your luggage and groceries uphill to the front door. (We stayed for 6 weeks and we got mighty tired of "schlepping" up the hill.) For this reason I would not recommend the property to anyone with mobility limitations. It would have been much more pleasant if use of the driveway had been allowed.
With the exception of the driveway issue, we enjoyed out stay here and recommend the home to others. The owners are easy to contact, extremely responsive to questions, and quick to issue refunds.
This is a perfect location for someone who wants to sample the many things offered in the Gig Harbor area, and maybe even is considering having their own home in Gig Harbor.

There will be no sales tax for stays of 30 days or longer. The tax is not required by the State of Washington for stays of 30 days or longer.
An additional charge of $50 per person per stay for each person over parties of 2. ($50 for three guests; $100 for four guests per stay)
$50 per person is added per stay for parties over 2 people. $500 deposit is due upon booking, remainder due 30 days before stay.
100% of booking fee is refundable, less $50 handling fee, prior to 60 days before check-in date. 50% of booking fee is refundable prior to 30 days before check-in.
