Fun stay in Fajardo
Gorgeous views, great location! We enjoyed our stay!
Everything you need.
The property is equiped with everything you need to enjoy a vacations and relax. Seven Seas beach is about a 10 min drive. The kids loved the three pools that the complex have. I truly recommended!
BEAUTIFUL and WELCOMING space and location
We loved our stay at Oscar and Natalya's condo. The location is great for exploring all of northeast Puerto Rico including San Juan, beaches, the islands of Culebra and Vieques; or a kayak trip to the bioluminescent bay.
The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment and the view out the big patio doors is gorgeous. There is a good sized market (Pueblo) fairly close via car for supplies on the way to or from the condo. The market also has a good variety of ready to eat foods in case you don't want to cook from scratch.
If you would rather go out to eat there are a variety of options. There is a fun bakery in the marina area that you can walk to and grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch -- it's called Panaderia Alturas de Fajardo. There is also a cute little bar called El Chinchorro de J that had live music and cold drinks when we went on a Friday night -- and there is small walk-up counter next door where we ordered a couple of small plates (not part of the bar). Sal y Pimienta and Pasion por el Fongo are both a fairly easy walk from the condo (up hill on the way there, but down hill on the way back!) and had yummy food. We especially loved La Estacion, which is a bit further up the road but definitely worth the very short drive. I would highly recommend a visit to Las Vistas Cafe in Las Croabas for breakfast/brunch/lunch too -- stunning views and very welcoming owner and employees. There is also a yummy coffee shop called Dulce Aroma in the university area of Fajardo that is a quick drive and well worth the trip.
If you want to spend time at the beach, the condo has plenty of beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, a hammock, and a back-pack cooler. We found Luquillo Beach to be a bit more our style (about a 15 minute drive), rather than the closer Seven Seas Beach (about a 10 minute drive) -- but both are peaceful and serene, and have food, drinks and bathroom facilities near-by.
San Juan is about an hour drive from the condo and has lots of options for things to do and see. We enjoyed the early in the day Mixology class at Casa Bacardi -- we took a ferry in San Juan to Condado and then a van to Bacardi (then van back to Condado, and ferry to San Juan later in the day). This travel approach also gave us plenty of time to eat lunch and do some more exploring on foot in San Juan after the tasting before we had to drive back to the condo in late afternoon/early evening.
All was very clean. Nice condo community. Very safe. We enjoyed it very much and will book again.
We have the best seafood restaurants in the area and right across the street there's the oceanfront La Ola restaurant and Bar and Marina. full views of the bay, marina and Islands. Have a cocktail and see the boats go by. If you like fried fish please visit Pescaderia Don Candi on the weekends. Pick your fish and have them prepare it. You can feed the head to the Tarpons right from your seat. There are several others within walking distance. For morning bread or a cuban style sandwiches there is a bakery in Villa marina Shopping down the street. You can also go to the Croabas area . There are several restaurants there. The cozy El Pescador is our favorite. And of course the Luquillo Kiosks are just 8 miles away. The marina across the street offers several activity options: catamaran tours, jet ski and boat rentals, kayaks, paddle boards, day trips to Vieques and Culebra Islands. Our top pick for Beach - Seven Seas, is just 1.9 miles or 5-minute drive.
There is Playa Escondida and Luquillo Beach. If you are visiting Vieques or Culebra there ferry is just a mile away. Culebra has the famous Flamenco Beach. Named one of the top ten beaches in the world. El Yunque National Park is 12 miles away . It is the tallest mountain in the Caribbean and the only rainforest in the U.S National Forest system. you can hike to the top. Bathe in the rivers and many Cascades. This is a must see. The Bioluminescent Bay in Fajardo is just 2.5 miles away. There are several companies like Kayaking Puerto Rico that will guide you on a night trip. This is one of only 3 left in the world. Of Course from here you can also visit Old San Juan, Condado, The Caves and the rest of the Island.
