Glenwood Springs House Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, 7 Sleeps Home Close To Downtown Glenwood Springs

This home, built in 1941 by the local pharmacy owner, has been restored to its original, cozy mid-century beauty with additional amenities. You can feel the happy family times in this house. June and Ward Cleaver would be proud.

On the main floor, there is the living room, dining room, kitchen, one bedroom with a queen bed and full bath. A half-bath is near the kitchen. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms (one with king bed, one with two twin beds and one with one twin) and one bath with separate shower and tub. An ample, fenced back yard provides safe romping grounds for your pet.

Two blocks from the Roaring Fork River with its extensive bike paths and four blocks from downtown, our home is centrally located with easy access to shops, restaurants, hot springs, spas, ski resorts, adventure parks, hiking trails, rafting, and... Shall I go on? There is so much to do in Glenwood Springs.

About Donna Gershten

My mother and I live on a small organic farm in Colorado with my husband, two dogs and four Guineas. Originally from North Carolina, I came to Colorado forty-years ago where I married and settled. My mother joined us twelve years ago.

Donna Gershten purchased this house in 2012

Why Donna Gershten chose Northwest Colorado

On first walking through the front door, this house felt like home to us, as if the people who had lived there were old friends, and we could remember the happy times. My mother bought the house tout suite. Not bad for ninety-three!

There is so much to love about Glenwood Springs:

good restaurants, the hot springs, great skiing and rafting, cultural events--all in an established community that is proud of its history and natural beauty.

What makes this house unique

Location! While we have two private off-street parking spaces, you could easily park your car and walk, bike or bus to most any activity. We are close to downtown in a quiet neighborhood with a large fenced yard for your family and pets.

Great homey place, location even better...walk everywhere!

Had a great stay, check-in and out was a snap, and Donna was always quick to respond. Great location for walking into town, and easy access to Hanging Lake, bike paths, hot springs, etc.

Family Get-away

  • 5 of 5

The house was well maintained, picturesque, and vary clean. There was plenty of room for four adults and two children. It was centrally located making it convenient to get to the pool, stores, and had great access to the bike trail along the river. The kitchen was well stocked. The owner was easy to work with and I'd recommend this to property to my family members. Our stay was very pleasant.

Would highly recommend staying in this home. I like to fish, and fishing in the Colorado river

Very nice, well kept home!

  • 4 of 5

Enjoyed the stay, found most all amenities needed. Nice supply of items in the kitchen for use by our family. Our family of 7 found the home delightful for our family get togethers celebrating my husband's 80th birthday. We went in the springs, hiked trails including the hanging falls trail--unbelievable amount of families visiting this sight. We began our hike at 6:45am to avoid too many people. Coming down at 10am it was very crowded. We visited a couple of restaurants--The Grind and the Pullman for lunch. Delightful and not too crowded for lunch. Cooked most evening meals, and brought in pizza on Mon eve; restaurant very crowded with orders. Our stay was delightful.

Found springs pricey; heard comments from others about same. Especially 17 dollars for a 3 year old is a bit much. He could only go in one pool and the hot tub, which is understandable.

I wish I lived there!

  • 5 of 5

Donna's home was really awesome! It was clean and well appointed and maintained, cozy, nicely decorated and really had a homey feel. I wish we could have spent more time there. I enjoyed staying in a historic WWII era home. It is also very close to everything you could need or want. The grocery store, drug store, restaurants, activities, the rivers, pools, trails, coffee shops, the mall. Most things are within walking distance. This house is a wonderful place to come home to at the end of a day of fun in Glenwood.

This was my first time booking a VRBO home. Donna's response to any of my questions or concerns was prompt.

Glenwood Springs is a fantastic town to visit. SO MANY things to do that you have to return on your next vacation for more!

Donna's home , coupled with this great town is everything you could ask for all rolled into one!

When we return to Glenwood we will definitely book this house again!

Great vacation house!

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved the house. It was very convenient, the house is well stocked and it felt like home. We have twin sons (age 3) and it was great for them to be able to run around the backyard while we prepped dinner. They loved their room with big boy twin beds. We went to the adventure park and caves, rode bikes down the canyon and visited the pool twice. Thanks for everything! We had a wonderful time and hope to return next year.
