About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 7

This one-of-a-kind waterfront home on Rockford Bay is perfect for your Idaho vacation! With 180-degree views, a wraparound deck, a private boat slip, and the water right at your doorstep - this home offers it all! This rustic, eight-sided home can accommodate up to seven lucky guests, and the location can't be beat!

The Octagon at Rockford Bay (an inlet on Lake Coeur d'Alene) has a premier waterfront location, and is also just a 30-minute drive to town. Coeur d'Alene is the largest city in the northern Idaho Panhandle, and is affectionately known as the "lake city," most likely because there are over 50 lakes in the area! Downtown, you'll find lots of dining options nestled in the beautiful scenery. If you'd like to stay closer to home, you can take the 10 minute walk to Rockford Bay Resort, where you will find Shooters Bar and Grill, a gas station, and a small market.

The home itself has rustic cabin charm, while offering plenty of modern amenities like cable TV, a DVD player, and a washer and dryer. After a long day out on the water, dock your boat at the private boat slip and head on in for an adult beverage at the bar. Grill up some hot dogs on the grill outside, or cook up a gourmet meal in the fully-equipped kitchen. You'll have the option of dining outside on the deck or inside by the fireplace at the dining table. When it's time to start counting sheep, this home has three bedrooms to choose from. The master bedroom has a log-framed queen bed, and the second bedroom as a queen bed as well. The third bedroom has a bunk bed, with a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin-size bed on top. The futon in the living room provides an additional sleeping option.

With stairs right down to the beach, this home is a boater's dream home. Whether it's jet-skiing, fishing, swimming or soaking up the sun, there will surely be something for everyone. There are also three national forests nearby with miles of hiking trails to choose from. Depending on the level of the lake, you can warm up after a day of adventure at the outdoor firepit!

Make a reservation today so you and your family can enjoy this beautiful home!

About Vacasa, ID - Coeur d'Alene Region Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Beautiful view but dirty

  • 3 of 5

This home has potential but unfortunately it was not very clean. The entrance was not very inviting. a lot of "stuff" by the front door. The view upon entering is awesome, but a lot of cleaning needed to be done inside. and the maintenance was not up to par either. No curtains on the doors, the big sliding door in the main room had a broken lock. The ceiling fan was so dirty., We had to sanitize the white coffee maker before using it. The oven had not been cleaned. The laundry room has a bad smell. Ants in the shower., the bedroom with the deck has a broken lock on the screen door. there was something spilled in the corner of the room, so we found the vacuum cleaner, but unfortunately the hose had no suction (I guess that's why the room was not vacuumed in the corners) There were so many random things just poked in the closets and utility room (no organization or cleanliness) The kitchen is well stocked but the cookware is old. The corner where the tv and media stuff is - needed to be dusted and cleaned. don't bother opening the window shade closest to the fireplace because theres a refrigerator in front of the window. Bring your own extension cords because most of the electrical outlets are worn out and nothing stays plugged in.

It was nice and quiet and peaceful (we never seen anyone else our entire stay) We stayed here in April so the rate was definitely reasonable, although in the summer months when the rates double, not so much.

Needs cleaned better

  • 3 of 5

The view is wonderful but the entire house needs a lot of attention. Cleanliness was lacking. Numerous repairs needed. No curtains on the doors. Oven and coffee maker very dirty. It could be a wonderful place if it was cleaner.

Cozy little cabin

Cozy little place with plenty of amenities. Small water heater is the only complaint. Beautiful view.

This was a very peaceful vacation. Great place to unwind. Nice and slightly rustic. Pretty view, even though the lake was flooded. We didn't mind. We will definitely return.

This might come back and bite me!

This place is perfect! I'm reluctant to sing the praises it deserves in case everyone starts booking it and I miss out on opportunity to stay there because it's already booked. I want my cabin to feel a lil cabinish and have some old school charm. It has all that and the necessary amenities to ensure you and your friends and family have a great time. There are coolers and 2 fridges so there's plenty of space for food and most importantly drinks. Enjoy!

Beautiful Property

  • 4 of 5

We were very excited about the property. Very convenient coming from Spokane--only took us 40 minutes to get there. The views are breathtaking! We would highly recommend it to any of our friends. Some of the furniture was pretty dated and a bed probably needs to be replaced. The kitchen is fairly well stocked--limited on spices (we left some behind for the next vacationers). All and all a really nice stay!
