About Suzanne Murray
I welcome you to be a guest in my family home -- and to feel right at home. I am the 60-something owner and raised my three children in this rangy and comfortable house. I grew up in Buffalo, moved to Connecticut in 1979 and find New England charming and fun-filled.
Suzanne Murray purchased this House in 1991
Why Suzanne Murray chose Simsbury Center
This house is always a surprise when visitors enter - It is larger than it seems and offers many rooms at different levels for relaxing alone or with family/friends. You may walk out the front door to hike around Simsbury Farms Recreation Center or Great Pond State Park, or head into town where there are free bikes available at local retailers and you can spin up to Congamond Lake or Northampton!
What makes this House unique
This is a very private property with gardens, a large deck and woods beyond a spacious backyard. It is just minutes from the town center, the town recreation center with its highly ranked golf course, and is adjacent to the 40-mile Farmington Canal Heritage Trail. It is five minutes to the International Skating Center or to the 4,400 acre MacLean Game Refuge. Simsbury is an active town -- check out its website for up to date news. The main street, called Hopmeadow, has two excellent grocery markets, sports stores, many restaurants, and even an historic village. Simsbury is also home to Brookside Bagels which has legendary cheddar cheese bagels.

We absolutely loved staying at this warm, inviting and happy home in Simsbury! We look forward to a future visit!
Great stay, plenty of room and way more fun than a hotel!
Great value, clean plenty of room and in a nice safe neighborhood close to everywhere we wanted to go. The only glitch was the beds were too small. If there was a least one queen bed for us it would have been perfect!

Thank you! I will work on that!
Beatifull house in beatifull place!
We have been here for one months in January ... sure not a warm month, but the place sourrended by nature and so peacefully make our stay a great stay! The house have all you need. Big spaces for all (we were in 5 adult a two babies), all confort, good neighborhood .... we can’t find anything less then wonderful! If you need to stay in Connecticut or near Springfield like us, this is the best choice. The owner is more than kind, so lovely and helpful! She make us a bottle of wine for welcome! You can not find a better owner! Let’s try and you will come back again!
Well-Equipped & comfortable
I rented this house for a weekend so I could host my son & a few of his friends. They attend a local boarding school, and love an opportunity to get off-campus for a day or two. This house worked great for our purposes. The kitchen was well-equiped and had all the essentials, which was awesome because I ended up doing a lot cooking. There are two living areas, so the boys could spread out & I could still have some space of my own. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood that was pretty and safe. I took a nice long walk on Saturday. The house is definitely a bit dated and worn, but it was clean and it served us well. I wish the TV was in the bigger, more comfortable living room - but we made due. I would go back again.
Beautiful, comfortable and welcoming
Great house for a gathering of family from several locations. We enjoyed fall foliage on nearby walking trails as well as in the back yard view from the indoor/outdoor room. Many extras and conveniences were provided and Suzanne was so welcoming!
Charming home in the woods
We had the best weekend at Suzanne's charming home in the woods of Simsbury. This was the perfect location for a sisters getaway weekend to visit our aunt at nearby McLean Village. Suzanne was a gracious host, easy to work with and responsive with accommodations. I only wish we had more time to stay! Guess we'll have to come back!
