About Pat Newton
I moved to Hendersonville in 2013. I moved from Jacksonville Florida, a place my husband and I were living until his unexpectant death in 2010. I was 50 at the time. I moved here knowing no one but just loved the area and the friendliness of the people. I am originally from the Upstate New York area (Syracuse). I actually like fixing up houses. It's kind of what I do. It's been a hobby of mine for some time and have fixed up at least 4 others. Besides my love for houses, I am an avid animal lover. I am working with a group of similar minded people up in Asheville called 'Appalachian Wildlife Refuge'. We have just gotten a much needed facility opened to serve all of Western North Carolina. The facility will service injured and orphaned wildlife. I am the previous Treasurer for the organization and am currently working on my requirements to become a wildlife rehabilitator. I am also one of the original organizers of the 'Friends of Jackson Dog Park'. This is the official unofficial Dog Park in the area. It's a leashless Dog Park. I currently am the mom to 2 dogs (Carolina & Ridgeback), 1 Quaker parrots and 4 goldfish. As well, I feed the squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, birds and crows every morning. I have lots of hobbies, travel, soap maker & jewelry maker to name just a few.

Why Pat Newton chose Hendersonville
I had been looking for an investment property for about a year and a half, mostly in the downtown area but nothing seemed right. I happened to see the listing for this house when I was out with my realtor so we came and saw it. Love the Druid Hills Area, and the house did not need too much work (mostly painting), and it's still considered 'in town'! Not much maintenance either! So I made an offer! They took it! 3 weeks later I owned a rental! I like this little house so much I can see myself moving into it when I get older and want to lighten the house chores!
100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
This was an excellent rental, all as advertised. The house was spotlessly clean, the central air was great, the beds very comfortable. While we did not cook, the kitchen was very well stocked. The house is also very accommodating to pets, we found the neighbors to be very friendly during our walks. The communication from the owner was excellent as well. We would rent again.
Super clean and well maintained. No issues
Clean and cozy
This house is definitely the cleanest homeaway rental you will ever stay in! The pictures are accurate. Bathrooms are good though not pictured. Water pressure is excellent. Our dog enjoyed climbing the steps and sniffing around the natural area but do leash your dog if you let it go up because the fence may not surround the upper yard. We lucked up being there during peak azalea blooming season! Hendersonville is a fun town. Neverblue was our favorite restaurant.
Perfect Vacation Spot!
We had the most relaxing time at Woods Edge Cottage. We visited the area in October, but stayed closer to Asheville. However, we fell in love with the Hendersonville area and wanted to stay there this time. So glad we did! The people are so friendly, the breweries are great and the relaxed vibe is perfect for us.
We're hoping to squeeze in another trip to Hendersonville and, as long as it's available, we will definitely book Patricia's home again. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and the neighborhood was very quiet. (Also, the basement was the CLEANEST basement I have ever seen!) Our dog enjoyed the fenced backyard and watching the birds and squirrels. We did not want to leave our perfect little vacation spot!
This cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. Our dog enjoyed the freedom of the fenced area. It was very close to town and everything Hendersonville has to offer.
Neat clean and supplied with plenty of dishes and supplies for the kitchen and towels and wash cloth
House and property were very clean and close to down town. Also she had covers to put on furniture for our puppy. The fenced in back yard was also very handy for all of us. Would definitely rent again if we are in the area.
