With glimpses of the ocean, Hale Koa Cottage is a recently renovated 2 bdrm dream get away. Spacious convenient kitchen, comfy living room with a fireplace for those cozy winter stays, and a great wrap around deck to enjoy the gorgeous summer weather.

This cottage is the perfect vacation rental for couples wanting to spend quality time together, or interested in exploring the area for future relocation plans, and for outdoorsy vacationers wanting to enjoy the many sports and activities in the area.

Our cottage is situated in the midst of a range of amenities to suit every taste - fine dining & spas; country fresh produce & meats; ocean fresh seafood; a neighborhood pub, and ...it's just steps to the beach!

Perfect cottage

My wife and I stayed at the cottage for the entire month of March, 2016...we actually stayed three days extra. The cottage was exactly as advertised and met all of our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. The cottage is on a quiet street and perhaps 150 meters to the small bay off NW Bay. You can walk about 800 m to a point on NW Bay and watch sea lions (in season) and there are several bald eagles in the area. There are many hiking trails in the area. The cottage is close to the QF market in Nanoose. Major shopping (i.e. Costco) is about 20 minutes away at the north end of Nanaimo. Parksville is about 8 minutes away.

Rest, Rejuve & Adventure

Our stay at this cottage was a perfect blend of a beach oasis and adventuring in this amazing area.

We thoroughly enjoyed returning from a hike up one of several rivers in the area or paddle boarding on the ocean or visiting one of the area's farmers & craft markets, along with time spent at the nearby beach relaxing and don't miss exploring at the low tide! The cottage is well appointed and a joy to spend time in.

Very inviting with its cozy spacious living room and natural light throughout.

Setting is a special enclave near the beach and countryside, yet a few minutes by car and you are out to the main road & on your way to endless points of interest in the area.

Hats off to the hosts for sharing Hale Koa with us.

Happy Edmontonians

Our family of four stayed at this property and we absolutely loved it! So quiet and in a very nice neighborhood, the house was clean and updated and felt like home. The house was stocked with all sorts of necessities for everyday life. Dealing with the owners, Lars and Helen was a joy. The oceanfront was only steps away and our kids spent hours snorkeling and beach combing. This is a central location for many attractions and we will definitely be back.

Perfect getaway from the daily life

We ( a family of four with our children age 12 and 15) spent some lovely days at this location. It was clean and perfectly equipped for a vacation. I think it was the first home I´ve rented, where good cutting knives existed. The listing photos were not as good as the home itself. The kitchens so much nicer in reality. The only disappointment were the washing mashine and dryer, because they were out of function. (and we really needed them) Lars was always friendly and helpful. The beach is in walking distance. Because of our jet lag we spent several mornings with very pretty sunrises down there. Otherwise we had to use the car to get anywhere. But it is maybe a 10 minute drive to the next good grocery stores and restaurants. A farm for fresh eggs is nearby. I would definitely recommend this place to friends or relatives.

Excellent Getaway!!! Perfect Location!!!

Well we are newly weds and were planning on an out of country honeymoon but decided to spend it in our own "backyard". Wow were we impressed and happy we made that choice. The cottage offered all the amenities you'd have at home which made it very easy. Just a quick stop at the grocery store, which is very close, and we were set. We took it all in...very quiet neighborhood, walks on the ocean, close to all the cool site seeing spots on the island, and of course golf. Couldn't of asked for anything more and we will be back:) Thanks again Lars n Helen
