Breathtaking mountains, forest and wildlife surround the serene waterfront of the Two Rivers Lodge. The property includes 10 acres of waterfront on the Ossipee and South Rivers, with a comfortable rustic yet modern 900 square-foot cottage. The Ossipee is a large mountain fed river filled with bass; the South River is a classic trout stream and features all varieties of fish. The two rivers join at the Two Rivers Lodge and their spring backwaters are prime gathering spots for moose and beaver.
Bring your dogs! We are completely dog-friendly, and welcome your canine friends. Our dogs love to splash and swim in the water and go for long walks in the woods. It's very relaxing for owners to know that because the lodge is located at the very end of a dead-end dirt road and set over 2000 feet back from the road in the woods, their pets are completely safe from traffic.
*Please note*: It is expected AND absolutely required that all pets vacationing with their owners at Two Rivers Lodge will be up-to-date on their vaccinations, and will have been treated with a topical, monthly flea/tick treatment that contains IGR--such as Advantix or Frontline. The outdoor environment in Maine contains naturally-occurring fleas, ticks, and chiggers and we do not want to risk infesting the home or other pets with them.
Relax on the deck overlooking the Ossipee River and you'll see moose, deer, turkey and fox as they travel the wildlife trails along the rivers edge. Or sit by the outdoor fireplace and watch the fish jump from the river at dusk. Build a bonfire, swim in the clean river waters, or snowmobile and ski on hundreds of miles of trails. This property has something for everyone...when not rented the lodge is used by ourselves or our relatives and friends, and everyone raves about what a great place it is.
In addition to the main part of the property that overlooks the Ossipee River, we have a wonderful new 'satellite' campsite on the South River that features a barbecue pit, picnic table, hammock, sandy beaches, and the ultimate in privacy, all just 100 yards from the cottage. This is our favorite spot on the whole property; the water's ultra-clean, shallow, and refreshing. It's the perfect place to pitch a tent for the night and listen to the water as you sleep...
This adorable, A-frame cottage is as private as it gets and is perfect for families, couples, and their pets.
John and Karen live in the wonderful historic village of Cornish, Maine, just 15 minutes from Two Rivers Lodge with their three children Jenna, Lianne, and Jack. They enjoy camping, hiking, snowmobiling, kayaking, home restoration, gardening, and virtually anything outside.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 1999
Privacy is very important to us to unwind and relax from our busy lives, and the quiet and peaceful location of Two Rivers Lodge is ideal for us. The dogs go crazy when we get in the car, just hoping that we're going to the lodge...when they see the bridge before we turn onto the road they become almost uncontrollable with excitement! Set just 15 minutes from our home, we're able to totally rejuvenate and get away from it all, yet are close enough to everything to make sure the kids are close to their school and friends. The yearly end-of-school parties at Two Rivers Lodge have become a legendary event with the kids' friends and we're always hosting groups of teens who want to swim, fish, tube, and kayak in a safe but fun place. And naturally little Jack loves everything that the lodge offers a little boy...throwing sticks to the dogs, catching fish and frogs, and 'helping' to start the fire in the fire pit.
Our family of four (plus our dog) stayed here for the first week of July 2016. It was a perfect break for our middle schooler and high schooler just after school let out in NYC.
The cabin was just as it is described and pictured - rustic and comfortable. The property is spectacular! We explored both rivers in the kayak and canoe. We paddled, fished, swam and hiked every day. The fire pit is situated perfectly and allowed us to cook dinner over the open fire every night. We could not have had better weather - 80s every day and 50s every night. The dark sky allowed for excellent star-gazing, too.
We took quick day trips to Mt Washington, the Maine coast and some amazing antique stores nearby. There are plenty of things to do all around, but the property itself was the real highlight for our whole family. We would definitely choose to stay here again!
My husband, our dog and I spent a week in July 2015. It was just right- the cabin felt clean and homey. The kitchen is well equipped and large enough for real cooking. There are books and magazines and games and a tube and a kayak and a canoe. And a huge outdoor fireplace for snuggling. The deck is large and perfect for reading, grilling and eating. We saw practically no other people all week, and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Great time had by all. Grandkids did not want to leave, too much fun with the swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and exploring. The dog thought he was in heaven. Already talking about going back next year. It was so quiet and peaceful you could get lost in the sounds of nature all around.
When my son told his five yr old we were going to Gramma's house yesterday, he thought it was my new house in Maine and got so excited.
We had an amazing time here. Karen was very helpful answering all of our questions prior to arrival and the cabin was exactly as described; she did a great job making us feel right at home. We even used the outdoor shower, braving the cold November mornings! The dogs loved being able to be with us on vacation and we were very happy with the extreme peace and quiet--we did meet a few neighbors who were very Maine-ish and friendly. We will definitely be back!
I can't say enough about the warm friendliness feel that the Two Rivers Lodge gave us, and that of the owners as well. They made you feel that there was no need to worry about anything, except relaxing and having a good time. Hiking the trails, taking our 2-person kayak out and fishing from it (quite successfully, too!) to the campfires at night. It was all wonderful and a perfect getaway. And to be able to bring our dog Roxy with us just completed the vacation perfectly. The cabin was clean, cozy, well stocked, with a great big deck overlooking the river. Everything you would want for an enjoyable trip 'back to nature'. Thanks again for a truly wonderful time. Hope to be back!
Two Rivers Lodge was everything we expected and more. The cabin was comfortable and the deck very relaxing. The fishing was great. We even had a bass dinner one night from the fish we caught. Joan got the largest fish and I will never live that down. The trails were fun to walk. The food a Bay haven in Corinth was great and at very reasonable prices. We had five days at 90 to 95 degress but we still fished every day and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
We have rented camps in New York, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine over the past 10 years and we can honestly say that Two Rivers Lodge is one that we would consider coming back to . It is a great place and I hope it will continue to be rented out for others to enjoy.

Antique shops abound and one of the top rated seafood restaurants in Maine is only minutes away. The most downhome delicious breakfast you've ever had awaits at Krista's in nearby Cornish, and several quaint village shops offer unique bargains in the charming village square, only a 15-minute drive away. Be sure to get out and view this lovely historical town.
