The house is beautiful just needs a few things taken care of like replacing light bulbs, remarking light switches. A lot of stairs to climb but we loved our time there. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The master bedroom we were a little disappointed in because you couldn't open no windows or the doors overlooking the ocean and it looks like they haven't finished the painting. The time we were there we really didn't need the air conditioning but most of the windows had the handles removed so we couldn't open them for the ocean breezes. The area is great loved it. Loved the house just needs some things taken care of. We would go back to this house again because of the location and the house is beautiful. Everyone had a great time and each of us had our own space. Great vacation for relaxing. Not a lot of shopping areas around but didn't bother us we just traveled around the area to see what was there. I loved watching the shrimp boats every morning and the sun come up then off for walks looking for sharks teeth and shells. All 7 of us loved it there. Great brother and sisters reunion. Glad I found this house. A.Jones
Based on the pictures online (which I believe to be dated, as it does not look this nice in person anymore), we were excited about our week vacation! Imagine our surprise when we got there and found a very dirty house. The cleaning team was still there when we arrived at 4:00 (an hour after check in) and when they left, it didn't appear as though they had actually cleaned it. We found pills on the floor, loose nails on the deck, crumbs and dirt in EVERY cabinet just to list a few. The shared bathroom on the top floor was unusable. The shower drain was clogged, and had a very old and dirty bath mat that appeared to have soap scum/mold. Our family members staying on that floor were forced to travel 2 floors down to shower. All together, very disappointing. Will not be going back to this house. For the amount of money we spent for an enjoyable family week away, we spent more time than necessary cleaning and spraying for ants (due to the crumbs and dirt that was in the cabinets/kitchen). Do not recommend. Such a shame that was probably once a beautiful beach home, is just a dated dirty house now.
We have rented several homes at Top Sail beach over the past 10 years and this home is at the top of our list. We have a large family and space was not an issue in the home. The master bedroom was beautiful. Being an end unit gave you even greater views. The home was very clean when we arrived although there was not a vacuum or a decent broom for guest to keep the house clean. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The only exception to our visit was the hot tub which we paid an extra $70 to activate. There were no directions on use and no one came around to clean it or check it. Most of the people in our party who used the hot tub after the 3rd day got a rash which was diagnosed as folliculitus which people get from bacteria in hot tubs. No one went in hot tub after 4th day because it smelled when the cover was removed. But as I stated earlier, the house itself is beautiful
