Our three bedroom, two bath, 1300 square foot fully equipped condominium in a private complex has everything you need for terrific summer vacations or winter getaways. The unit sleeps six comfortably, and features cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans and two private decks. (Please note that the unit is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.)
Located right on Rathtrevor Beach at Craig Bay, in Parksville, British Columbia., Canada, it has spectacular sunrises and great views of the Georgia Straight, snow-capped mountains, and cruise ships headed for Alaska. Our beach is pleasant. no crowds in the summer- and the complex is quiet and secluded.
Rathtrevor Beach is famous for its gently sloping beach and some of the warmest ocean swimming in Canada. Walk on the beach while tides recede over a kilometer of soft sand. Relax by the fire or enjoy vigorous outdoor experiences and all that Vancouver Island has to offer.
No other rental is closer to the park, and right on the beach. Some rentals advertise 'no steps'- but don't tell you about the steep hill you must go down- and then back up to get to the beach. WE ARE RIGHT ON THE BEACH. There are two TVs with DVD/VCRs, one in the living room (flat screen, Plasma HD) and another in the sitting area of the second bedroom. Choose from a wide selection of videos and CDs we provide, or rent your favorites in town. Upgraded cable provided.
We provide expanded cable, HDTV and free local telephone service. High speed internet access (both wired and wireless) is also provided at no charge. There is a well equipped kitchen with everything you need for your home away from home. Note, unlike many other resorts and condos, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL GST OR TAX ADDED TO THE PRICES BELOW. The Owner purchased this condo in 2004
We no longer live on the island and wanted a place to visit and be close to our family. We hoped that one day we would have grandchildren to run with on the sand, and now we do! Many dreams have come true.
Who wants to hike back up the hill for that sunhat? So many of the resorts on Craig Bay tower above the beach. Our beautifully furnished home is only a few steps from the sand.
We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home in September & look forward to returning next year.
As soon as we stepped inside, we were amazed by the beautiful views & how close the beach is. The condo was very spacious, clean & well kept.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook & prepare meals & also the bbq worked great for us.
We also enjoyed being able to do laundry so we didn't have to pack so much clothing.
We loved how relaxing & beautiful it was to have such nice views of the beach & ocean while having meals.
The location is conveniently located on the island, 10 minutes from coombs, 20 minutes from Nanaimo, 2.5 hr from Tofino, 1.5hr from Victoria.
Nancy, the home owner was also very helpful, accommodating & pleasant to deal with & quick to reply with all the info we needed.
We highly recommend this condo & would love to stay again.
Our review can be summarized by the first word that escaped our lips as we entered the condo - Wow! This place is truly incredible and makes an already wonderful spot that is Craig Bay and Parksville even better. The condo is extremely spacious and has amazing views from both inside or from either of the patios. The beach access is simple and the condo is conveniently located near the other resorts and near Parksville's amenities (not to mention Rathtrevor Park!!). My young family with two kids under 4 years old had a wonderful time and we certainly hope to stay here again!
I recently had the pleasure of renting this unit from Nancy, she was very quick to reply to my inquiries and very helpful to make our stay enjoyable as we were renting two other units in the complex.
The condo was more than what we had hoped for, it was very well stocked and had everything you would need as if you were in your own home.
The space was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
We were there over the New Years so it was fairly cold, but the condo never felt drafty or cold. The gas fireplace was a nice touch.
We had a fantastic time there and cant wait to stay again in the summer.

We booked the last week of August and really enjoyed our stay there. It's about 45 minutes north of the ferry from Tsawwassen to Nanaimo. It is a newer townhome, well-maintained and lots to do in the area around it. The townhome complex and immediate vicinity were fairly quiet and secluded. Two very nice view decks, but we didn't use them much as we were always out doing things. At low tide, it's a great beach for beachcombing as the water goes out about a half mile. Don't miss the sunrise. Most of my family are not early risers, but all were up after two or three days to watch it each morning. The colors were most spectacular at low tide. If you go, make sure you visit Englishman River Falls.
I found the listing description to be accurate especially in regard to the closeness to the beach.
The photos were good, but could not really represent the spectacular view out the main picture window in the living room and from the top outside patio. The condo was very clean, well maintained and stocked with needed items in the kitchen and with instructions and directions. The owners were readily available to answer any questions that I had both before and during our stay. I would certainly recommend this property to any and all of my friends and/or relatives. There is a list in the condo of nearby activities, attactions and restaurants that are close by. Walking along the beach and in the water during low tides was a unique and special activity that I think anyone would enjoy.
Our condo is ideally located for your Vancouver Island adventure. We are just 2 hours north of Victoria the "City of Gardens" and home to the acclaimed B.C. Provincial museum.Enjoy caving at Horne Lakes, skiing at Mt. Washington, the Steam Railraod at Port Alberni and the thrilling Little Qualicum Falls. See huge trees at Cathedral Grove, shop at Coombs and take the kids to Tiger Lilly Farm. Great golfing in Qualicum. Just 30 minutes to WildPLay in Nanaimo- zip lines, tree-top fun and bungee for the whole family!
