We went to memory mountain and stayed in the Timberwolf cabin Oct 13, 2016. I cannot say enough kind words to describe Steve and Joy the owners of the property. They were so kind went out of their way to help us with car trouble and really saved us a lot of money and time getting home on our trip. We traveled with a big group and we all had a lot of small children. We felt so welcomed, they adored our children. We went for a family wedding and walking into the barn I lost my breathe. It was beautiful beyond words. Our entire family stayed in each cabin and they were all nice and VERY clean! If you have any doubts book this vacation! You surely will not be disappointed! Thank you Steve , Joy and Lobo! It was a pleasure meeting you!

Owner's Response: Memory Mountain is quickly becoming the wedding place in Western North Carolina. Asheville is a great city and we are glad to be a part of it. Your wedding was great and you guys were easy to work with. As you know the reason we do wedding was in memory of my son Shane who we lost at the age of 24. Well your family could not have been kinder to me and Joy my wife. thanks for coming.

Great cabin to relax and enjoy family, friends, and the outdoors

  • 5 of 5

Some out-of-town wedding guests stayed at Timberwolf Lodge for my wedding. They were very pleased with the accommodations: each family had enough privacy in their bedroom when they needed to get away but there were plenty of areas for socializing, too. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Everyone raved about the unique cabin architecture. We would not hesitate to book another group getaway in Steve's cabins!

Not only are the cabins amazing and full of supplies, but Steve and Joy (owners) are so attentive and helpful. We rented 2 cabins for our wedding weekend. Memory mountain was perfect to bring both families together and fish in the ponds, have bonfires, and relax together.

Beautiful property, comfortable accommodations, affable and helpful owner. Met our expectations.

  • 5 of 5

Steve Powell has leveraged a successful banking career into an impressive property management organization. The setting is lovely, the houses a combination of elegance and rustic chic, and he and his family couldn't be more friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And how many opportunities do you have to play with an Arctic Wolf? Steve is a wealth of information about the region. As the property is uniquely situated just a few minutes from I-26, you have the advantage of being in an exclusive and private enclave but only a short drive to Asheville and the southern highlands. An all around beautiful venue. By way of personal information, I'm a retired Philadelphia attorney who has travelled extensively and believe myself to be reasonably demanding and sophisticated in such matters.
