What a wonderful place to visit. Steve, the owner is an amazing person and he is so accommodating. The cabin was rustic, clean, and breathtaking. The master bedroom was spacious, the living space was warm and relaxing, the other bedrooms were comfortable. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking to get away for any amount of time. I would give it more stars if I could.

Memory mountain is such a gem, you can't go wrong in any cabin. Timberwolf in particular is breathtaking. The perfect cabin feel without literal log contstruction. Comfortable living with beautiful surroundings. What more could you want?

Amazing getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I loved being able to get away to Memory Mountain for a long weekend!! Absolutely stunning cabin with everything you need to have a fun and relaxing time! The trails surrounding the cabin offered plenty to explore and the fire pit outside set such a warm and inviting tone to end our nights! Asheville is only 30 minutes away and the ski slopes (although closed) were only 5 minutes away! Lobo the wolf visited often to make sure we were safe and Steve and Joy also visited to make sure we had everything we needed! Anytime I need to get away, I am definitely coming back to Memory Mountain! Would highly recommend these cabins to any friends, family, or groups! Make sure to visit the Chapel and hear Shane's story; it is sure to bring a tear to your eye and make you thankful for your family and health!

Phenomenal stay, 10/10

  • 5 of 5

Amazing experience overall. Would heavily recommend solely off of Steve and Joys hospitality. The cabins and surrounding property are beautiful, and offer an amazing atmosphere to stay in that really captures the mountain spirit. Steve was prompt and easily reached for any needs, as well as friendly, making the booking and staying process more than simple. The cabins are situated in a great area too, just minutes from trails, ski lodges, and the main highway. If you're looking for a memorable trip to the mountains with family or friends, I could not recommend these cabins enough. Everyone in our party is already looking forward to making a return trip.

Owner's Response: Thanks Nathan you are a great person now let me tell everyone the rest of the story. Nathan called several months back and wanted him and his friends to come to the mountains from Florida. These young people attend University of Florida, some were freshman. Many were under 21 years old. All were very nice and polite. They left this cabin and the grounds in great shape. Better shape than most of the people that leave here. Never did this wonderful group of young people cause any issues. Many places want rent to college students well I will. Memory Mountain is the place for these groups. We welcome young people and trust them. It's time for the older people to reach out and help our young people. We need to give Bach and teach the new youth. This group of 17 let me talk to them for about 1 hour about my life and how they could be successful. If you are the parent of one of these young people you should be very proud. I am very proud of them. I believe the future of this country is bright with hope because of these young people. Thank guys come back sometime

A Thanksgiving to remember!

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Timberwolf Lodge. The grounds are beautiful and made for a lovely morning walk. The cabin seems a little smaller than what the pictures portray but comfortably fit our party of 10. The cabin supplied everything you could possibly need and felt like home. The owners were awesome and gracious hosts. The location was outside the bustle of Asheville, but I rather preferred the breathtaking views and proximity to the Appalachian Trail. We took several day trips to nearby towns and they were all special and unique. Overall fabulous trip!
