This charming and cheery newly renovated apartment is located in the heart of the fashionable left bank in the 6th, the St Germain Des Prés area, just one block from the Luxembourg gardens. Large french windows in each room overlook open and airy courtyards.
This apartment comprises a living/dining room, a small open-plan kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. It sleeps up to 4 people as there is a separate bedroom as well as a double fold-out sofa in the living room.
It provides all of the comforts of home, yet the first class location will remind you that you have come to one of the most exciting and glamorous cities in the world
This quiet and charming 1 bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor, the main entrance gate is protected by a security system and an intercom.
I would say the very best thing about this flat is its location! Everything you can think of is within walking distance (food shops, good restaurants, bakeries, metro, taxi stand, gardens, etc). It's also on the first floor of a building, so if you have a lot of luggage and/or do a lot of shopping, you don't have to deal with stairs, a narrow staircase, etc).
It is clean and simple, updated, yet still very charming and European. The owner provides just about everything you need for a stay (including iron and ironing board, hair dryer, all kitchen appliances, electrical adapters). The ONE thing I realized ISN'T there: shampoo/conditioner in the shower. Do remember to bring these with you!
One weekday, I was woken up by the upstairs neighbor walking around getting ready for work from 7am - 8am. It wasn't terribly loud, but definitely noticeable. The following night, I turned on a fan for "white noise," and also put in earplugs and didn't have any issues from then on.
I'm not sure if this will happen each time, but upon check-in, the owner did ask me to close the windows a certain way at the end of my stay. I was happy to do this, but wish I had practiced what that involved in advance. The window coverings are trickier than I had expected, so the process took me 15 minutes longer than expected (which is hard when you're trying to race out the door to get to the airport). So just do plan to figure out how to do that before the last-minute.
And don't forget the owner will want your 75 euros (cleaning fee, which he collects himself) upon check-in, so have that ready when you arrive.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment! It is clean, efficient, quiet and cozy. Yet in the middle of everything- close to restaurants, shopping, Metro and buses.
Alban was great to work with!
If you're looking for luxury, this probably isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for a simple clean place with rustic charm in one of the best locations in Paris, this is it. We could walk to art museums, great restaurants, the Seine, Notre Dame, shopping--most of what we wanted to visit was close by and within walking distance. And even though it is in a busy area, being off a courtyard made it a very quiet, peaceful place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again!
The location was perfect for this small apartment. Very close to the Metro and within walking distance to most everything we wanted to see. Great market, bakery, and restaurant within a stone's throw. Was nervous that it would be too small for the four of us but it was fine. Two of us just had to use our suitcases as storage. Since it was inside the courtyard, it was pretty quiet and private. Kitchenette was adequate, it was not sparkling clean but fine, and no dryer are the three drawbacks. The owner was very responsive and I would definitely stay again.
Situated in the center of the 6th district, the apartment is within easy walking distance from both St-Germain-des-Prés area and Montparnasse area. St-Germain-des-Prés offers the best shopping in Paris, with numerous exclusive stylish fashion shops, designer boutiques, bookstores and antique dealers. The renowned Montparnasse neighborhood was prized by great artists and writers such as Picasso, Matisse, Modigliani, and Hemingway in the 1920s and 1930s, and is now known as the theater district, with many bars and restaurants.
In the streets around, you will find many diverse restaurants and cafes, bookstores and food stores. The nearby Bon Marché department store has a wonderful food hall, 'la Grande Epicerie de Paris', one of the capital's largest gourmet food store. A renowned open air market - Paris' first organic food market held every Sunday morning on Bd Raspail - is also steps from your flat.
One of the most delightful aspects of this apartment is its proximity to the Luxembourg Gardens.
The Luxembourg Gardens offer great benefits including walking, relaxing in the park, admiring the various statues and sculptures, or playing tennis and ping pong.
