Sebastopol Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Guest House Sleeps 4. The Watertower Dbl bed sleeps 2 @ $50 per person per night

Pleasant Hill Farm offers a fully furnished, charming and cozy (715 sq ft.) two bedroom, one bath guest house which sleeps four. For an additional fee of $50 per person per night, one or two extra guests can be accommodated in the water tower bedroom nearby which has a double bed. The water tower has just a bedroom (no TV) and guests staying there use the Guest House bathroom, kitchen, and living room with TV. The guest house kitchen has a dining table which seats four. There is a comfortable sitting room with a luxurious couch, over-sized chair with ottoman, flat screen TV, desk with wireless internet and an ergonomic chair. Outside, there is a large apple orchard and there are places to sit and picnic around the orchard. The guest house is attached to the barn and sits facing the recently renovated farm house built in 1900, vineyard, carriage house and water tower. The guest house is comfortably and tastefully furnished with art, super comfy beds and two flat screen TVs with cable in both the master bedroom and living room. The kitchen has a refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, and everything you need to prepare food, serve and dine. Dishes are be done by hand as there is no dishwasher. Laundry facilities are very nearby at a laundromat on Pleasant Hill Road. The guest house is supplied with paper products adequate for several days but guests are responsible for resupply during their stay as there is no maid service. Guests may eat indoors at the kitchen table which seats four or sit under the massive oaks (lit at night) at long outdoor picnic tables made from fallen trees overlooking the orchard. Pleasant Hill Farm is a working farm so depending on the time of year, the orchard could be quiet or there may be considerable orchard and vineyard activity including groups of 10 to 30 people coming up to pick apples and enjoy the farm.

About Victoria Wayne

I'm a semi-retired business person and a new farmer! I recently purchased this wonderful farm in the country. I'm getting to know my very friendly neighbors and the Sebastopol community. I moved here from Tiburon in Marin County. After working and traveling to many places in the world, I found this location pretty idyllic. Come for a visit!

Victoria Wayne purchased this cottage in 2011

Why Victoria Wayne chose Sonoma County

The farm is ideally located just outside of the city limits of Sebastopol in a completely private, country setting yet its close to town and everything Sonoma County has to offer. A half hour to the West is the ocean, Occidental and Bodega Bay. Twenty minutes to the east is Santa Rosa. Healdsburg is 1/2 hour North via a beautiful drive through wine country back roads. Enjoy antiquing, local Farm Trails destinations, local cheese factories, rafting on the Russian River, Luther Burbank Farm which is only a mile away, the Art Walk, Santa Rosa's new Green Music Center, cycling or walking through this beautiful part of the Northern California wine country.

What makes this cottage unique

Pleasant Hill Farm is one of California's more than 5,000 small farms which are produce suppliers. Because it is a working orchard and vineyard you can observe the workings of the farm during certain times of year such as pruning, thining, and harvest. Otherwise, you will just see lots of beautiful apple trees and grape vines busy growing! The guest cottage is warmly furnished like a home. In fact, it was my home for a year and a half while I was renovating the 113 year old farm house so I know you will be very comfortable!

Relaxing home away from home

This property was the perfect spot for our family to stay during our visit to Sonoma county. The home is simple, clean and comfortable, and is in a beautiful rural setting that is close to town and centrally located to many spots you might want to visit. Victoria is a gracious and welcoming host. We'd love to stay there again.

Great Property and Nice Host :)

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Sebastopol. The house is wonderful. The kitchen is well-equipped. Everything is clean and we loved it. Victoria greeted us with some treats and gave us instructions on the house and we had a wonderful weekend. We were traveling with our three young children and she was very accommodating with them. Thank you!!!

Owner's Response: Annie, I really enjoyed showing your girls the tree-house and how to knock down a spider web with a stick. :) They're darlings. I'm glad you, and they, had a good country visit and hope to see you again. Victoria

A peaceful and charming base for wine country touring

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage on the apple farm. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and charming. It's in a lovely neighborhood and we found it be well located for easy access to Bodega Bay and that gorgeous coastline and also to the Russian River valley, Dry Creek valley, Alexander valley and Sonoma valley. There is so much to see and do in the area. We loved coming home to the cottage every evening and sitting outside in the orchard sipping our latest favorite wine. Thanks Victoria, for the warm welcome and also the great winery and restaurant recommendations.

The perfect retreat

  • 5 of 5

We were here for an extended time and found this charming cottage and it's surroundings the perfect place to relax, renew and catch our breath after a busy day. We appreciated the quiet early mornings to watch the deer, quail and turkeys roam unhurried through the orchard. We had everything we needed....books to read and pots to make soup on rainy days and a well cared for property to walk and admire in sunny days. Vici made us feel so welcome and did so much to have our stay be comfortable. The location was so convenient, clean and well equipped. We traveled to Bodega Bay, San Francisco, Healdsburg, Sonoma, explored Sebastopol and spent time with our family. It was perfect for us! We have used VRBO often and we were not disappointed with the Apple Farm.
