About Cindy Young
We first came to the islands in 2000, on an anniversary trip - and couldn't stay away! We fell in love with the big island of Hawai`i in 2005 and found we keep coming back!
Cindy Young purchased this House in 2012
Why Cindy Young chose Nanawale Estates
We chose this area because it's close to all we love about this Island! The sound of the rain at night is soothing. The smells of the jungle around us and the quiet days are fabulous! We even love the sounds of the Coqui frogs at night! Our NaloNalo Kauhale will be the home we retire to in a few years.

A beautiful home in a tropical setting.
We felt right at home, everything we needed was there, even snorkeling gear. A clean and beautiful home with lovely decor, not far from the town for shopping and dining. A good location to venture out and explore the south east side of the big island.
Roomy. private, quiet and peaceful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Young's Pahoa home. It is close to Hilo and Volcano, where we did most of our sightseeing, but it is far enough away that it feels much more rural and very laid back. Where they are locted there is considerable space between houses, and lots of native vegetation. We loved the porch/deck area. The big roof overhangs made sitting outside watching the rain enjoyable. The many screened windows and ceiling fans made it comfortable even when the temperatures got relatively high. The house is large and feels very roomy. The Youngs supplied about everything we could think of. Having a washer and dryer was an unexpected bonus. It is tastefully decorated. And the master bedroom bed (the one we used) and the furniture were comfortable.
We would glady return!
Very Private and Comfortable Home
We had a very nice stay. The house has a well stocked kitchen and lots of beach stuff. We stayed 5 nights. During our stay we visited Volcano National Park, snorkeled in the Tide Pools a couple of times, biked to see lava entering the ocean, and visited waterfalls North of Hilo. We did drive a lot to see everything, but there really isn't anywhere more central. Our kids (age 3 and 6) enjoyed the community pool, that was just down the road. Although, the pool hours were limiting. They were only open from 10 to 4 and closed on Tuesdays.
Very nice, clean, well equipped property. Cannot say enough good things about our stay. We are already planning another trip at the end of 2017 and want to stay at this same home. We hope it will be available.
This is a lovely, large home about ten minutes out of Pahoa on a very private lot. If you're looking for peace a quiet this is definitely the place for you. This home is close to everything; we went to the market in Hilo, drove to the Volcano National Park, went to South Point, and spent a beautiful afternoon at Punalu'u Black Sand Beach. At the beach the turtles were out of the water and playing in the surf. this house is a good central location for sightseeing.
Had a great stay! Very clean and great location.
We enjoyed our stay. The tide pools were cool. The proximity to Volcano National Park was great. The place had everything we needed for a great stay!
