“The Cottage” is conveniently located in historic “Cottage City”. Just 5.5 miles from the City of Canandaigua where you will find shopping (Wegmans is a treat)...quaint shops along historic Main Street....Kershaw park at the north end of the lake...stroll along the pier – watch the boats come in. Discover The Culinary Center and further south on 364, The Center for Performing Arts...and so much more.
The road to the cottage....off the main road is private...no road noise...no heavy traffic..no early morning wake-up traffic....10MPH speed limit...a real plus for the kids and the favorite walking path....ample coveted parking for family and guests right at your door.
As you arrive, nature's beauty and tranquility await you....a park level sprawling green lawn leads to the glorious and rare 200 ft. level shale beach..children can wade in ankle level water...no steps...no incline...clear water....magnificent view.
Patio level entrance into the house...modern oak kitchen is fully stocked...appliances include dishwasher, stove, disposal, 2 refrigerators and microwave. (extra fridge is great). Adjacent to kitchen is half bath and laundry.
You will be treated to spectacular “panoramic” view from the charming living/dining room. A full wall of glass presents the lake in all it's glory. Step out onto the nostalgic front porch, furnished to let you relish meals and gaze at the lake and front lawn activities. Patios with tables at front, rear, side and beach, offer dining “where you like it”....where the “mood” takes you.
The second floor has 3 bedrooms and modern bath....(tub and shower). One bedroom has double bed, the 2nd has 2 double beds, and the third cathedral ceiling bedroom has double and single bed.
And now for the “piece de resistance”...rolling level green lawn to 200 ft. private cove beach....sun and fun....enjoy the longer daylight hours on the east side of the lake.... fish off the dock....hunt for fossils...go for a swim or just “chill out” to the mellow movement of the waves. Wave to the red, white and blue “Canandaigua Lady” paddle boat cruising the lake... If you like, tours and dinner cruise arrangements can be made at Kershaw Park at the north end of the lake.
As evening sets, don't miss the spectacular sunsets...watch the sun go down, then linger to see the blue heron fly in to feed at the mouth of the creek. Kids love it, and so will you!

Afterward take a walk down the Canandaigua Pier and check out the Historic Boathouses. Top off your trip with a cruise on the Canandaigua Lady. The possibilities are vast.
