Let our guesthouse be your home away from home in Burlington, located just 2 blocks from the Church Street Marketplace and 2 blocks from the Burlington Waterfront. Enjoy your stay within walking distance of everything Burlington has to offer, including shopping, dining, pubs, galleries, coffee shops, parks, marinas and the city's business district. We are 5 blocks (0.5 mi) from the center of the Champlain College campus, and 10 blocks (0.8 mi.) from the center of the University of Vermont campus.

Our historic property dates from 1890 and is renovated with period character and modern conveniences. Amenities include a fully equipped cook's kitchen, private yard, on-site laundry and off-street parking. Why stay in a hotel when you can have the spaciousness and privacy of your own home?

Sunset City Guesthouse comfortably accommodates 4 people in two bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 full). A plush, queen-size air mattress is available to set up in the living room which can accommodate up to 2 additional guests. Caretaker lives on site and is available to help with any questions or area tips.

Clean, good night's rest, walking distance from downtown Burlington

This was perfectly located for our needs for a place to stay that is walking distance from graduation and being close to Church Street, markets, restaurants, the lake. Bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms, were very clean! The beds were comfortable and the amenities were very helpful to have... iron, ironing board, stocked kitchen. Matt was so kind to allow us to have a later check out time because of our luggage situation.

Some suggestions for improvement: repair bedroom door that rubs the floor and is noisy and difficult to open and close. Clean the rug in the living room. Provide a step stool for those of us who are height challenged. I could not reach the rod to hang up clothes and could not reach the living room ceiling light switch. The two towels I used had moldy odors. Maybe replace them ? A few more hooks in the bathroom would be useful.

Great location, nice house

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment that is part of a larger house. Comfortable beds and furniture. Walk to downtown and lake path. So much better than a hotel! We will be back in the area and would hope to stay here again.

The kitchen and bathroom are stocked bare bones supply-wise-no shampoo, no soap, no coffee, no sugar, no kitchen sponge. There are paper towels, dish soap, and towels.

Cute house in perfect location

We had a wonderful time at this downtown location. We were a 5 minute walk to everything, which was ideal with 2 kids under 2 in tow. There was plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 young children and nice (small) fenced in yard. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooom was clean.

This is a duplex property - we were in the downstairs unit. A few times delivery people surprised us by coming to our door when they were delivering upstairs- so a sign clarifying the address of the two units would be helpful! All in all, an amazing property for our family.

Matt was super great to work with, very accommodating with changes in dates, etc. The house was perfect- location is amazing, everything was so easy! Sloped bathroom floor not a big deal at all, made it easier for my kids to hop on the toilet ha! Plenty of shelves in bathroom for toiletries. Kitchen stove is beautiful, no issues. Backyard very nice. We were a family of 5- two adults and 3 kids aged 11 months, 3, and 4-- and this house was perfect for us! We had a wonderful time and will be back next summer!

Beautiful property, right downtown

The property was beautiful! The backyard was gorgeous and hospitable. Beds were comfortable, and you can't get much closer to town.

The only downsides were: not enough coffee mugs for our party of 5; we would have liked to enjoy the backyard seating after sunset but it was too dark/no lights or candles to utilize.

Overall, a lovely choice for brew fest 2016.
