Matt was super great to work with, very accommodating with changes in dates, etc. The house was perfect- location is amazing, everything was so easy! Sloped bathroom floor not a big deal at all, made it easier for my kids to hop on the toilet ha! Plenty of shelves in bathroom for toiletries. Kitchen stove is beautiful, no issues. Backyard very nice. We were a family of 5- two adults and 3 kids aged 11 months, 3, and 4-- and this house was perfect for us! We had a wonderful time and will be back next summer!
The property was beautiful! The backyard was gorgeous and hospitable. Beds were comfortable, and you can't get much closer to town.
The only downsides were: not enough coffee mugs for our party of 5; we would have liked to enjoy the backyard seating after sunset but it was too dark/no lights or candles to utilize.
Overall, a lovely choice for brew fest 2016.
This was a great spot to spend a couple of days in Burlington. We were only a couple of blocks from everything we wanted to do and it was really nice to not have to use the car to get around. Even better that we could park the car without worrying about any restrictions or fees. The house had everything we needed. The bed (master) was comfy and the AC was cranking on the hot days we were there. I appreciated the plugs on the nightstand for charging my phone! Nice touch!
The light in the living room didn't have a wall switch that I could find, but I did locate the switch on the unit itself. It was a bit of a reach for me, and I'm tall, so if you're not, know that you might have trouble with that. Another review mentioned the sloping floor in the bathroom. It is quite a slope, but as an old house resident myself, it didn't concern me. Just use caution with where you place your toiletries. I did a lot of walking back and forth from the living room to the mirror as there wasn't adequate counter space in the bathroom. Not a big deal to me.
I didn't notice much street noise at all, and we slept very well. Just wish we'd had more time to spend here! Will definitely look you up again next time!
The property was well maintained. My wife and I slept well on the master room mattress. Being centrally located, we parked our vehicle and walked every where. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the backyard after a long day of sightseeing. Would recommend this place.
Thanks for sharing your place.
Matt was great to work with and accommodated some late changes with a great attitude. House was great for having a few people come and share a dinner (or, if it had been warmer, a BBQ), clean and seated 6 at the dining table. Beds were comfy, shower was good, kitchen very workable. Surprisingly, the lounges were comfy too, which was great for a long overdue family reunion with talking late into the night.
From a perspective of walking to the lake and closeness of restaurants - it was terrific.
Only issue at all was the noise from a very busy street, both from cars and loud talkers walking on the sidewalk. Not being familiar with Burlington, I should have read the reviews a bit more carefully from that perspective, but it was fine for a couple of nights.
Note that this property is best for 2 couples or others who will share one of the two permanent beds. King in one room, double in the other, and then an optional blow up queen mattress that goes in the living area.
