We are located in between the Mont Ste-anne, le massif and Stoneham ski mountains. This would be the perfect base for those looking at a week holiday, but maybe not wanting to ski everyday. On your off day 400 years of history awaits you as you meander through the cobble stone streets of place royal.

Special note: this place royal condo has just received a four star rating from tourism Quebec. This is the highest rating for any residential tourist accommodations in the old city. Your first question for any property owner should be, 'are you an accredited rental home with the city of Quebec?' This should be a 'yes' or 'no' answer.

If the answer is no, buyer beware! Security comes from renting from owners duly licensed.

This condo is located in the heart of place royal. It is from this location that Champlain constructed the first habitation, a farm and a shed. The location was named after Louis xiv and is one of the last remaining witnesses of 17th & 18th century buildings in north America.

It is a beautiful 2400 square foot condo on one level. High ceilings, hardwood floors and exposed ceiling beams accent this historically renovated condo.

All that you will require to spend a great time in Quebec can be found in the condo

Three full bedrooms

Three full bathrooms

Full kitchen with cooking utensils

Washer and dryer

View of the st. Lawrence river from the 8 foot high windows looking south-eastward

This historic Greystone sits along the st. Lawrence river and is walking distance to all within the old city. This beautiful building welcomes visitors with it's granite tiling throughout the entry and stairs leading up to the unit. Don't feel like walking up a flight of stairs...No problem the building has an elevator for the use of our guests. Entering the condo you are met by a spacious hallway with the original red brick wall. Advancing a few steps and turning the corner is when the 'wow' factor hits our guests. As you look at the vast open space of the condo beautifully decorated and furnished with a back drop of 11 foot high windows looking out at the st. Lawrence river. The word 'Quebec' comes from the First Nations word meaning, 'where the river narrows'. This is visible from the living room of this condo as you look out eastward down the mighty St. Lawrence towards the Orleans island.

If you wake up one morning and feel the instant need to have that first morning coffee, but don't want to make a pot yourself, no problem, just put on your slippers and head down to the first floor into the MC Chef Cafe where fresh croissants, chocolatines, and other fresh pastries can be purchased.

It is from this location that the beginnings of new France began to develop some 400 years ago. Restaurants, antique shops, art galleries, and museums are located minutes from this location. Step outside and within minutes you will realize why Quebec has been designated a u.N.E.S.C.O. World heritage site.

In 2002 Hollywood went looking for a site location for the Europe scenes for the tom hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio movie, 'catch me if you can'. If you have seen the movie or if you plan to rent it look for Quebec city as you see hanks chasing after DiCaprio in France. The turning point when hanks captures DiCaprio is suppose to be in pairs, France, but is actually shot about one minute away from the condo.

At the royal Dalhousie we invite you to step into a luxury condo to begin your vacation memories then ....Step out into 400 years of history.

Incredible Experience

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, plus another couple who are our dearest and oldest friends, could hardly believe our eyes when we opened the door to our condo at the Royal Dalhousie. It provided first class accommodations and off-street private parking in the heart of Old Quebec City. The location was perfect and saved us from ever having to drive, until we departed four days later. Old Quebec is the closest thing to an authentic European experience one can have without having to cross "the pond". And our Royal Dalhousie condo let us forget, for a brief 4 days, all of the mega-stores, cookie-cutter fast food, crowded highways, and the suburban sprawl we left state-side. We highly recommend this beautiful condo, in beautiful Old Quebec.

Fabulous Condo On The River

  • 5 of 5

The Royal Dalhousie was absolutely stunning and definitely had the "WOW" factor when you walk in. It was larger than we thought and the view was stellar. The view will even be better once the park across the street is completed. Everything about the condo was first class plus, Ed and Genevieve were so friendly, helpful, and just all around great hosts. There was more than enough space in the 3 bedroom condo for the 6 of us and the location was perfectly located for sightseeing. We all agreed it was one of our best trips we have ever taken together. We would highly recommend staying at the Royal Dalhousie!

A comfy condo in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Six of us stayed at the 3 bedroom Dalhousie condo in early June. The accompdations were clean, cozy, and conveniently located. Our condo was just as nice as the pictures on the website and even bigger than it looks online. I was a little concerned about staying in the lower city, but the Royal Dalhousie is very close to the the funiculaire and the place where Champlain actually landed. The lower city has great restaurants and the Royal Dalhousie is about a mile away from the Old Market at the port where you can purchase very good food, some already prepared, so it's easy to eat well near or in your condo. I enthusiastically recommmend the Royal Dalhousie condos.

Glorious condo on the river

  • 5 of 5

This condo is superb in every possible way: location, view, comfort, decor, kitchen!

Our party of 6 had the best vacation in Quebec and the Dalhousie condo is the main reason. First, it is drop dead gorgeous. The view on the river is outstanding and we loved watching the ships coming and going. We could walk to the farmers market, our favorite restaurants in the lower town and the port, and to the funiculaire to go the upper town. We cooked at home several nights and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for real gourmet cooking (which is not common in most condos we have stayed in). I would give it 10 stars!

High class loft apartment in perfect location with river views, Quebec City

  • 5 of 5

We spent almost two weeks at the Royal Dalhousie, and had the opportunity to stay in two different apartments on the second and third floors. These both have very high ceilings, very comfortable seating, fabulous windows with St Lawrence river views. The apartments are kept immaculately, and I am a stickler for clean bathrooms. The kitchens are fully prepared with any cooking utensil you could imagine, and yes we did cook dinner on more than one occasion. Having laundry facilities was also great as we had a long stay and they are full size appliances. The roof deck is such a big plus, we brought up cocktails and snacks a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the view and ambiance. We were lucky to be there for the Transat sailboat race and the deck was the perfect location to watch. There is parking available in an attached lot. Ed is available for problems or questions, he brought us a booster for the wifi signal right away when we had problems with the signal. However, the throughput is slow, so we were unable to use FaceTime or skype, and my husband had to adjust a few phone conferences. The area in front of the building is being transformed into a park with grass and fountains, that will be totally amazing when complete. I expected to hear construction, and we did not. This is a city apartment, and we did hear buses go by. The apartment on the second floor had a window in the master bedroom that needs some sound dampening to the next apartment, we could hear music and talking when a party was there. Ed is available to remind guests that they need to keep noise down. The location is perfect for walking everywhere we wanted to go and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Quebec.

Great Condo

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice stay in the Dalhousie Condo. Ed was very accommodating, provided a crib and highchair for our little one and provided tips for exploring the city. The Condo is huge! Very open floor plans and lots of comfortable places to sit. The kitchen has every tool you need. Great location and very pretty view of the river. Kids loved watching the boats go by. We will be back! Can't wait to see how the park across the street turns out. Thanks Ed for a great stay!
