Tomas quit answering his phone before we got to the house and after driving 24 hrs we were sure we got scammed . We had no idea what to do so we knocked on the neighbors door and asked if they knew Tomas . Oh yeah they said we take care of the house and got us a key to get in . 2 days later still no reply from Tomas but all of a sudden he is knocking on the front door saying he needs to check the pool.He says he was busy traveling but must have had plenty of time to run the credit card for agreed payment but not to return a phone call ,text or email .Now 2 months later he can't seem to return the security deposit . Must be he is busy traveling again
We have rented through VRBO at least 20 times and the owner of this home, Tomas, is certainly a standout. He has done a super job of renovation so that everything feels new and spotless. (we did not use the pool but it looked new and inviting) The house had everything we needed and the location was central for all our Sarasota activities. Tomas is totally engaged and helpful although fortunately we had absolutely no problems and never needed his assistance. Apparently, a neighbor on the same street looks after the house so had we encountered a problem, help would have been right there.
We appreciated the layout of the home and the second bathroom so we were able to comfortably host another couple who visited overnight.
The neighborhood is in flux, with at least 2 other modest homes on the same block currently undergoing major renovations. We felt completely safe and I took 30 minute walks in every direction during our stay and felt very comfortable.
We are very likely to return next winter.
This house looks just like the pictures. While the neighborhood isn't the fanciest, it seemed quiet, except for a rooster crowing somewhere nearby which we found more entertaining than bothersome. The owner, Tomas, was easy to work with and was always available for any questions. While we were there, we met the friendly people next-door who care for the house. The house has nice appliances and decent cookware and dishes. Trader Joe's, one of our personal favorites, is nearby as well as Publix and others. We visited Lido Beach (pretty shells), Turtle Beach (fun waves), and Coquina Beach where our boys went snorkeling and the manta rays swam around us. Each beach is unique and we enjoyed them all. Siesta Key was too busy when we tried to visit there in the afternoon. July in Florida can be rather hot and humid so the pool was thoroughly enjoyed. We give this property a thumb's up.
Picked it for our 25th anniversary. It is very nice house with everything one may need.At 1st we did not know what to expect since it is in the city and were skeptic about the privacy and quite, but after we got here found out there was nothing to worry about. You can stay in it and rest, enjoying the pool, cable and internet or go to the beach.Near all different restaurants. The house is even better in actual than on the pictures the owner,Thomas (always just a phone call way, anytime),provided.Very clean and neat, everything is where you would expect to find it and in good working order.I would recommended to anybody that loves privacy and at the same time likes to be near party places or food. Thank you ,Thomas!!! Will visit again!!!
We, four adults, just spent four nights at this great home. Tomas is a gracious host and he has put a lot of work into his home. Great location for prime beaches. Don't think twice about renting his home.
This was the perfect stay for me. All the furnishings and appliances were new. The decor was great and provided a wonderful southwest Florida feel. I could relax and enjoy the nice weather while relaxing in a reclining lawn chair or take a dip in the heated pool. Also it was a very short drive to the beach. The owner was very concerned about providing all the amenities and providing for the comfort of his guests. I would highly recommend this vacation home to all my family and friends.
