Great place!

  • 4 of 5

We spent a week there and had a great time. The house is close enough to shops and restaurants to walk and close enough to the channel/lake to bike. It's a comfortable place with lots of room and a great front porch to relax on.

Very kind and accommodating owner - enjoyed our stay!

  • 4 of 5

It was such a pleasure working with the owner of this rental. She accommodated our last minute reservation and our larger than average sized group (We had 4 adults & 6 children). Also, we found the owner to be very helpful, kind, and prompt in returning our emails and calls. The home carries a shabby chic sort of ambiance and is the perfect distance to the downtown area. My brother-in-law was in and out constantly, visiting the coffee shops, the health food store, and even the lakefront. The kids loved the assortment of games left for our enjoyment, and the moms were happy about the laundry and kitchen facilities!! I'd highly recommend this rental for families with young children. It is clean and neat but not overly fancy - has a traditional, slightly rustic cottage-by-the-lake sort of feel.

Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfectly located in town. The shops and boardwalk were both a few blocks away. We have young children and it was so nice not having to pack up in the car to get ice cream or go to the park. The owners made us feel very comfortable with kids. We did not jave to stress about messes or breaking things...kid friendly decor. Any issues were delt with promptly. The best part was the perfect front porch to watch all of the action. We had no issues, but if you are a light sleeper, the house is sqeaky. Almost anyone would love this charming house.

A Great Vaction Home

  • 5 of 5

This older home has just the right character for a vacation home in a beach town like Grand Haven. Large rooms, high ceilings, original wood floors and lots of light. Though the home is delightfully old, it has all the modern amenities you need: Wi-Fi, large flat screen TV, AC, dishwasher and a kitchen outfitted with enough dinnerware and flatware to feed a troupe of 20! And, its located in one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Grand Haven, all within walking distance of downtown. The owners are more than accommodating and the neighbors are friendly too! You can't go wrong with renting this home.

A great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to stay!! We were in grand haven for soccer in the sand, in the past we have always just gotten a hotel. Our experience renting this home was by far the best trip we've had to date for soccer in the sand. Amazing location, beautifully decorated and the homeowners are so kind and accomadating! We highly recommend this vacation rental!!!

Grand Emerald Lady

  • 4 of 5

Grand old home, full of character. Well stocked and clean including linens, soaps, paper products, etc.

Close to downtown and the beach (although quite a long walk for older folks) and many ice cream shops!

Good bike riding too! Only complaint I have is that the traffic noise can be pretty loud - takes some getting used to especially if you prefer quiet for sleeping but was handled by closing windows, using AC/fans for sound abatement.
