This cabin has two separate living quarters, the main cabin sleeps 8, and the loft above the garage sleeps 4. Main cabin:
one bedroom downstairs with queen bed and one bathroom. There is an open kitchen, dining, and living area. The main cabin has TV with dish satellite, a fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, toaster , microwave and dishwasher.
Upstairs of Main Cabin:
Spacious sleeping area with one queen bed and two twin beds, tv and small siting area and a full bathroom.
Detached loft above garage:
Living area with futon, tv and vcr with movies, small kitchen area, 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds which can be pushed together for a king bed, also has its own bathroom.
Very large garage area finished and heated to park your snowmobiles during the winter or just keep you vehicles out of the elements. The cabin is kept plowed during the winter by the owner. There is also a large amount of off-street parking for snowmobile or atv trailers, as well as a separate rv space. This cabin has three decks, one from the upstairs sleeping are has a view of Sawtelle Peak, one deck off the back for private gatherings and BBQs, and a deck off the living and dining area where you can take in the view. This cabin is great for multiple families or groups and has three separate areas for lounging and watching tv or visiting.

About Gary Dawson/ Bonnie Dawson
The owners are semi retired farmers from Iowa and have snowmobiled in Island Park since the early 1970's. They have come to love the area and purchased this cabin and one other for themselves where they now live year round. The property managers Gary and Bonnie Dawson have lived and owned property in the area for approximately 10 years. Gary is a home builder who has built several log cabins in the area and is also a licensed real estate agent. Bonnie and Gary are avid fly fishers and are knowledgeable about the area. Great place for a crowd
The property is perfect for a large group but be prepared to take your own supplies. We bought all our own extra kitchen garbage bags, toilet paper and hand soap since the soap dispensers on the sink were empty and there was only one extra toilet paper roll in the bathrooms. We were required to take our garbage with us and with a large group there was plenty of garbage and no extra bags for the cans. We also found it difficult to clean up after the kids with no broom although there is a vacuum, it just didn't work very will on the hard floors. You will also need to plan on a little extra time for check out since you are required to wash and dry all of the used towels. With a little sprucing up this could be a little piece of heaven in the woods.
We had a great stay while visiting Yellowstone. The house was clean an comfortable. It had everything we needed. Be aware you are expected to wash towels before leaving. That is a bit of inconvenience to shower and get them washed and on the road the last morning. I would pay a little more to have WiFi. Cell phones work with weak signal (VERIZON) at house. Location is convenient just off highway. Walking distance from grocery store and restaurant. Gary was quick to respond to any questions.
Vacation Home near Yellowstone
Perfect vacation home to accommodate a large family gathering. Immaculately clean upon arrival, all appliances in great working order, well stocked kitchen for cooking home meals, plenty of room to spread out and relax, comfortable beds, plenty of natural light and fresh air, great outdoor deck to watch the stars at night. Yellowstone easily accessible. Well stocked grocery store a few hundred yards away. Lots of great outdoor opportunities all over the place. Owner Gary quick to reply both email and text. Will definitely stay here again.
Nice place near Yellowstone
Lots of room to spread out, everything was clean, nice baths, well supplied kitchen. For those not familiar with bear country, you have to take your trash to the landfill down the road.
Great Location to Yellowstone
The home was a great location to travel to the West Entrance of Yellowstone. It was a comfortable place to stay. Big bedrooms. Separate location over the garage was huge. Open dining, living room, and kitchen setup, which was nice for getting together as a group. Overall served our purpose of traveling to the sites we wanted to see this summer.
This cabin is 20 minutes from the West Yellowstone Park and is a super location for your Yellowstone and Grand Teton Park loop adventure. Island Park is world renowned for its fly fishing with several blue ribbon trout streams and lakes within 20 minutes. Island Park Reservoir is a great location for all your water sports. Golf Course is right across the street. The Centennial Mountains offer superb hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Winter sports include snowmobiling right out the front door, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing.
This cabin is only 20 miles from West Yellowstone Montana and the West Yellowstone airport should you chose to fly in there.
The cabin is actually less than 1/10th of a mile to a nice restaurant and bar, small grocery store, gas station, subway, and an outdoor sports rental and golf course.
