Lovely get-away place for families or friends!
I stayed in this lovely estate home for a weekend get-away with friends. I found it to be large a accommodating and at the same time warm and cozy. All the common rooms were spacious and could handle a large group. Pictures are accurate but do not convey the large size. The bedrooms and baths were comfortable and plush. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked several meals with ease. All features were as described. The weather was not cooperative so we were not able to do much outdoors, but the grounds looked beautiful in the fall, with changing leaves. I feel certain spring and summer would be delightful.
I would recommend for family groups, business groups, wedding parties, any group who would appreciate getting away from the city.
My friends and I hope to make this an annual outing.
Thank you for the kind words. We are glad that your group enjoyed the stay. We enjoyed hosting your group and are delighted that the property lived up to your expectations! We would welcome the opportunity to coordinate an annual retreat for your group at our lovely home in Goshen!
Absolutely beautiful setting, well maintained, quiet and had everything you could want.
Beautiful Kentucky Retreat!!
Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations! The setting is beautiful - long curving drive through property to house, private setting, view of the river in the distance, horses grazing, a true Kentucky setting. The home was first class with plenty of space for our group to spread out - high quality feeling and multiple options for gathering or space for privacy - both indoors and out. We used the home as a business base for a group working in Louisville on a three week project. It was a perfect place to relax around an evening meal and work late into the night to prepare for the next day's events. We hated to see our engagement come to an end as we were spoiled with our lodging. We would love to return again either for business or pleasure.
Gorgeous and Inviting
I booked the Goshen Crest Farm in May 2013 for a girls weekend (mini retreat) with six other friends and I have to say this property is absolutely gorgeous! I found this home to be spacious enough to spread out but also intimate at the same time. We spent a good amount of our time hanging out in the gourmet kitchen laughing-making food and outside sitting in the yard which is vast, quiet and serene enough to be alone and journal your thoughts. The horses that are adjacent to the property provided some entertainment as they came right up to us checking our hands for food. The property was exceptionally clean inside and out and the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and warm. Booking the house was incredibly easy and Lisa was so helpful and patient in answering all my questions. I could see using this home as a wedding venue, for a family reunion, a weekend getaway with loved ones or a corporate retreat.
Thank you Sherri. I enjoyed working with you on Goshen Crest Farm and hosting your group.
We are delighted that you liked the property. We feel it creates the perfect, serene environment for just about any kind of retreat, vacation or special event.
Our brides tell us it is a spectacular venue.
Yes, the gourmet kitchen is a cooks dream! And the dining room overlooks the southern part of the farm. Guests often view an occasional deer especially at twilight.
We hope to see you again in the near future.
Located in the heart of the Midwest. Louisville has it all! Located along the Ohio River on the Kentucky-Indiana border. It’s unique location and geography has made Louisville a cosmopolitan hub of transportation, commerce, and cultural exchange for centuries.
This lovely English Tudor is located in historic and beautiful Goshen, Kentucky in Oldham County, just minutes from Louisville, Kentucky. The property in located on a working horse farm.
The main residence on the farm was built by Stanley Conrad in 1964. The farm was known as Oak Haven Farm and was a broodmare facility. The most famous racehorse from Oak Haven was Old Hat, born in 1959. She was an American Thoroughbred racing mare and was American Champion Older Female Horse twice, sharing the honor with Tosmah in 1964, and winning it outright in her best season, 1965, when she was six years old.2 Old Hat raced for six years, starting in 80 races. She won 35 times, placed 18 times, and came in third 9 times. All in all, she was in the money an impressive 62 times. Her total earnings were $556,401. She is buried near the barn.
