This home is one of the most user friendly of all The Casa Bohemia's. Known for their luxurious courtyards 'Casa Randall' is perfect for lazy days of sunning, and margaritas. Just a few steps away from Loreto Bay beach and with views of the Sea of Cortez and The Gigante mountains. You will love the tranquility as well the romantic ambiance of this incredible location. Casa Randall is designed to ensure you reside in comfort and luxury.
We currently live in San Diego and have one grown son and two grand pugs.
Arlene Randall purchased this house in 2006
Situated on the beach side of the Sea of Cortez with easy access to the hotel, swimming pool, wine bar, gym and breakfast restaurant. Plus, this house has been customized for enjoyment and ease of use. We fell in love with the feel of stepping back in the time but still enjoying up to date amenities.
This beautiful property has unique features. We have french doors added to our downstairs bedroom that open up the whole downstairs to the courtyard as well as the living room, dining room and kitchen.
Arlene's home is exactly what you'd expect when you review the pictures. What the pictures don't tell you is.... the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with more cooking utensils then I have at home, the couch and living room chair are worthy of an afternoon movie marathon in comfort, the location to the family pool and sauna as well as the lap pool is just right for the walk before and after and last but not least...... open your Casa main door.. turn left and go straight.... to the beach.
We purchased groceries in the town of Loreto once. Basic staples we topped up at the grocery store across from the cafè. A restaurant open for lunch and supper is on the same block as the cafè that closes at 3:30 PM.
A couple of hints I'd be happy to pass along are:
Taxi from the airport to LB no more than 250 P and cheaper then shuttle bus.
From LB to town averaged 300.
The people are wonderful wherever you go and those who own in the founders section are generous with what tips they share and what there is to see /do/buy.
If your prone to bug bites take repellant. The 2 place I got bitten were the beach (sand fleas) and at the restaurant our first night there.
I took my 76 yr old mom and she said that I'd spoiled her from to going to any other location. The whole experience was so grand that we hope to return for a month in 2019..... it seems it's booked solid for the time I had free in 2018. Most importantly , Arlene was a call text or email away. Note to self... if your Canadian with a phone plan and you want to call locally dial 011 52 before thier number.

Thank you Arlene for sharing your beautiful Bohemia casa with us for a month. This was our second time staying in the Foundation neighbourhood of Loreto Bay. Both times we have rented the Bohemia model because it seems to have more light streaming into the living and dining room areas.
Casa Randall was beautifully decorated and was well-provisioned with every appliance you would need. I am not one to rave about tableware but the Laura Gates plates and mugs were so much classier than anything I had ever seen in rental accommodation. But what we really liked about this Bohemia compared to all of the others we have viewed is that the living room had French doors directly connecting it to the master bedroom. In all other Bohemias, you have to walk outside to get into the master bedroom. At nights, when the pesky midges (no-seeums) are out, the last thing you want to do is let them in!
We very much enjoyed the two Huffy bikes. The cycling is limited in Loreto Bay but there are more than enough paved roads to get in a good 50 minute workout.
Another advantage to Casa Randall compared to both the first one we rented and the one we have rented for next year (Casa Randall was already booked for next year) is that the window over the kitchen sink looks out into a courtyard within the walls of the casa rather than onto one of the walkways which means you never have to draw the blinds.
There is a conflict of interest in recommending a place but we had to do this. Arlene was very responsive by email when we had a question and Fernando at Bahia Management was great in helping us figure out the Shaw Cable and repairing a flat tire very quickly.
It all made for a wonderful experience. For golfers, this place is truly a paradise. How about a David Duval-designed golf course where golf for a month is only $340 US? No tee-times, you just walk on and play! Two awesome par 3's over the Sea of Cortez. The snorkelling, kayaking and paddle-boarding are great on the calm days. Many days there is a breeze but on those days it is not really a problem. Do NOT miss hiring one of the boats at the marina at Loreto (ask for Pedro) and get out to see the whales and take a tour around Coronado Island. This last time we even had about 6 porpoises around us. Fresh produce at El Pescador grocery store in Loreto and good wine from Pedro's (different Pedro) solves all other problems! Also now a great restaurant in Loreto Bay called Azul.
Thanks again Arlene!
We had a wonderful stay in Loreto Bay at Casa Randall. We enjoyed the wine bar, coffee shop and especially the golf course. The only challenge was parking. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the bikes were wonderful to use for all local "travel". Once we found a map of the area, that really helped to find the pools and other local amenities. I would recommend that a map be available to visitors when they arrive. The management office did not have any maps and we did not find the map at the house until 2 days into our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, except the phone did not work, apparently the area does not have a provider, not the owner's fault. There is no "view" from the house, but a quick walk or bike ride and you are enjoying the beach and lovely view of the Sea of Cortez. I would recommend Casa Randall for anyone who enjoys a quiet, delightful stay in Mexico.
The Casa is exactly as depicted on the VRBO site - very warm, beautiful art & furnishings. The courtyard is welcoming & has colorful patio furniture & a fountain. There are windows that open out from the kitchen to the patio bar area. I enjoyed a Margarita sitting at the outdoor bar while being able to interact with friends indoors. A nice bonus is the filtered water spigot in the kitchen sink for making ice & cooking. Truthfully, the house & the village community are so pleasant & beautifully landscaped/maintained, it's an effort to tear yourself away to go see the Loreto area sites. There are Huffy cruiser bikes (3) at the house to get around the Villages of Loreto Bay & we rented a car to go to Loreto, San Javier & other destinations. The only thing that MIGHT be an issue is one of my companions wanted to take a spa tub bath & he said he did not think he would be able to fill it with enough hot water to enjoy one. It takes a minute or so of running the water to get hot water to the sinks & showers. However, it DOES arrive - but he didn't attempt it. The second bedroom/bath share the upper floor with the BBQ deck, which has a grill, tiled counter w/sink, mini-frig, lounge chairs & patio table. Unfortunately, we didn't get time to grill some fresh local seafood during our 7-day stay. We were busy sampling the local cuisine! BTW, fav was "Mi Loreto" in the centro. The viewing tower is one more flight up a spiral staircase. You can catch sight of the Sea of Cortes, but the Sierra del Gigante mountains steal the show, especially at sunset.
The beach, the cafe & 2 bar/restaurants are all a short walk from the casa. The Corazon Cafe has a great staff/barista & wonderful beverages & breakfast selections. The "Wine Cellar" has a full bar & food, as does "Fusion", a couple of doors down from the Wine Cellar. The Baja Management staff is very friendly & responsive. This is a great find & a safe, comfortable place to stay!
We just returned from Loreto and stayed 2 weeks at this beautiful Casa Bohemia in Founders Village at Loreto Bay. The house is located 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and all the amenities that Loreto Bay has to offer. Cappuccino and baked goods in the morning at the local café and great tapas and wine at the local wine bar in the evening. Perfect setting. The house was well appointed with everything you could want. We were one couple but the house is really set up for two couples or a family. Would have loved a glass wine glass but that’s minor. We loved sitting out at night and reviewing our photos from our day adventures. The Huffy bikes at the house for guest use was a great addition and we loved meandering round the village on our retro bikes. Short direct flight from Calgary made this location an ideal winter get away. Highly recommend this Casa in fantastic Loreto.
We stayed in this beautiful villa for 12 days. It felt like moving into a friend's home with lots of thoughtful touches: soft beds and sheets, colorful dishes, beautiful art work, comfortable living area and patio sets and three large flat screen TVs with satellite service that worked great the whole 12 days (this is amazing for Mexico)! We cooked our meals in the villa most nights, as it was too beautiful to leave! The barbeque worked great - we went into town and bought some fresh caught fish right off the boat at the marina that was amazing. The owner of this villa is very responsive & there is an on site property manager. My husband golfed 4 times (he could walk to the course from the villa), while my girlfriend and I roamed around the gorgeous Nopolo community. The colors of the villas are so beautiful & the landscaping is breathtaking - we were taking pictures around every turn. The community has everything we needed - pools, restaurants, a wine bar, small grocery store and a coffee shop. The town of Loreto is very lovely, a beautiful little square with families strolling in the evenings, wonderful old church and the marina area encircled by islands. If you are looking for a relaxing spot with visual delights, this is your place!
Loreto is a beautiful tranquil getaway. With the calm Sea of Cortez on one side and The Gigante mountains on the other. It has modern amenities but also a feeling of stepping back in time. A unique place!
