3 Bedroom home with a full kitchen, dining room, sitting room, enclosed porch.
My husband and I live and work in Kent. We love our downtown with lots of great things to do. FOOD: Bent Tree Coffee (just 2 doors down the street) is a small batch artisan coffee roaster, a must stop for morning (or afternoon) coffee. The Franklin Bar and Grill has amazing cocktails and food. Treno is a beautiful Italian restaurant that recently opened in a historic train depot on Franklin Ave. Their food is fantastic!! Pacific East Kent, Bricco Kent, Troy Grill, and Fresco are some of our favorite restaurants all in easy walking distance. SHOPPING: Some great independently owned shops including McKay Bricker framing and gift shop, Off the Wagon a quirky novelty toy, game and gift shop, Red Letter Days is a shop for the creative type, Carnaby Street and Fig Leaf are nice women's boutique clothing shops, Kent Cheesemonger is a wonderful Artisan Cheese shop and a wine store. POPPED... the BEST popcorn and ice cream (homemade). The Works has beautiful gifts. All again are in easy walking distance.
Michelle purchased this House in 2017
Why Michelle chose Kent
Single home built in 1905, featuring beautiful woodwork throughout. The dining room has beautiful wood pocket doors as does the entry to the staircase. The home was updated in 2017/2018 with a new kitchen and updates throughout the home.
What makes this House unique
The home is on the edge of the downtown district, making it mostly quiet. It is an easy walk, a few blocks to all that downtown Kent has to offer.

Charming Home in Kent, OH
We had a wonderful second stay in this rental home. It’s immaculate, well stocked with everything you could need, and very spacious for families. It’s in walking distance to several great restaurants and shops. Our family will definitely continue to be repeat guests.
This home is a perfect place to stay while exploring Kent, and surrounds. It’s a beautiful, old home with hardwood floors, nice furnishings & antique fixtures, a bright & cheerful enclosed front porch...complete with rocking chairs. The three bedrooms were bright, clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished. If you have kids, they’ll love all the games & puzzles available.
The home is perfectly located, a block away from great restaurants, shops & a health food market. Great coffee is, literally, next door.
We weren’t able to meet the owners, but they were responsive and helpful.
All in all, we highly recommend this property...and whenever we return to visit Kent...this is where we’ll stay!
Kent OH stay
Very clean and comfortable for family
Perfect home, perfect location!
This house was clean, charming and well maintained. Perfect for our family for a weekend getaway. Owners were responsive to messages before and during our stay. Would recommend it and will definitely be back next time we are in a Kent!
Thanks for staying in April!
Perfect for my party of 4
This house is well-situated and well-appointed. We were in town for a family event, and were delighted to have a place of our own. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. We had plenty of hot water. This is an old house with beautiful details that are sometimes not so obvious (seriously, check out the hinges on the upstairs doors!). Bonus points for being near a coffee roaster - the coffee snobs in my family were very happy.
Thanks for the review!
Clean, charming, conveniently located, friendly host.
This house is right downtown so you can easily walk to shop or eat out at a variety of places including coffee and breakfast right next door. The house is a nicely restored property with paper and soap supplies so we didn't have to go out to buy as we have in other places. Lots of toys if you have kids. If you can't do steps, it isn't for you, but otherwise, great. The glassed in front porch is very pleasant for sitting and reading. If you have nothing to read, the library is about 4 blocks away.
