Wonderful family vacation! Great central location!

  • 5 of 5

You won't be let down by this cabin! This is a great location for day trips to all the eastern UP attractions. My parents as well as my children, ages 8 and 11, and my husband and I, enjoyed the cabin, large yard, and lake. We were hoping to catch some fish and have a couple fish dinners while there, but the lake only gave up tiny perch. This is not the lake for a fishermans getaway, but we did enjoy canoeing the lake and the river. The sunset over the lake is beautiful, as we're the stars at night. We have never seen so many stars! Bonus for us, the Persaid meteor shower was in full glory during our stay! The cabin is fully stocked, the only thing that we couldn't find that we needed was a pizza cutter. The beds are comfy too! Be aware, the geese love the big lakefront yard, if you have little kids who don't watch where they step you may want to clean up the yard. But it is the lake experience, and geese come with that. The owners were wonderful to work with. They are very friendly and caring.

Perfect vacation location in the U.P.

  • 5 of 5

Spent a wonderful week at this beautiful log cabin with my family which included myself, my husband and our two young children. This cabin was in a perfect location to get out and enjoy day trips around the U.P., but also great to just stay there and fish, swim, relax, etc. The cabin was very spacious, peaceful and well cared for. Everything that you think you may need or forgot to bring, seemed to be in the cabin. You don't even need to bring the kids toys. Our kids loved playing with the "new" toys at the cabin. Ken and Patt were awesome hosts, very helpful and kind. We will definitely be returning!

Great retreat

  • 5 of 5

If all you want to bring is clothes and some food, this is the place for you. Ken and Patt have thought of everything you could want or need and have it readily available in this cabin. They respond very timely and provide all the needed info. A great place for kids as they can have the upstairs to themselves. The porch was a life saver for us as the Mosquitos took a liking to our 10 month old. We could sit on the porch and still see the campfire and lake. Close enough to make some day trips or hit the ORV trails (we did) if wanted. Quiet enough to to relish in the peace. Recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Great vacation spot with the family!

  • 5 of 5

I recently spent a week at this fabulous log cabin with my son and his family, as well as bringing my 90 yr. old Mother. The cabin was clean and incredibly comfortable. Mom was able to get around easily, cane and all. It met all of our needs: spacious, homey, warm, peaceful, great views, loaded large kitchen, and AWAY FROM NORMAL LIFE!!! Pat and Ken are very kind, helpful, and accessible. We'll definitely be returning.

Fine log home with waterfront views.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spend two weeks in early September in this very fine log home. The home was immaculate and well maintain. The view of the lake and surrounding area was simply beautiful. One additional benefit of this property was its proximity to Mackinac Island, Sault Ste. Marie, Pictured Rocks and the Taquamanon Falls.

Great Place in the middle of the UP

  • 5 of 5

Great place for my family of 5 (3kids). Had everything we needed. Instructions for everything was very well organized and simplified. Cabin is in great shape and well kept. Sandy Beach on lakefront. We drove to most of the main tourist spots from here. When we were back at the cabin was very quiet and relaxing. Not much luck with fishing, although later discovered in the Cabin Instructions a 3 page fishing guide on Trout Lake specifically. Ken and his wife was very easy to work with. Thank You Ken and Patt as we are hoping to return again.
