|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
Enjoy breathtaking views of Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, the Seattle skyline and the North Cascades from this cozy, two-story beach cabin.
This unique property -- Double Bluff Beach Club -- boasts 200 feet of no-bank waterfront on over three acres of beach. Meander 1/4 mile down a private drive and ascend stone stairs to this piece of paradise perched about the trees.
Soak in summer sun from a gorgeous, custom-built deck, or stroll along a sand and driftwood trail to the water's edge. On an enchanted evening, dine beneath the stars or head down to the fire pit to roast marshmallows, to tell stories and to sing songs around a campfire. Just outside the house is a partially covered patio complete with comfortable furniture, a barbecue grill, a dinner bell, a warm outdoor shower and lots of hooks to hang towels and gear from a memorable day at the beach.
Inside you'll find all the comforts of home coupled with unique Island charm. This top-to-bottom remodel is beautiful, bright, and EVERY room has a view! Curl up on the comfy couch with a good book, play board games around the coffee table or simply kick back, take a nap and relax.
The cabin features gleaming, original 1930's wood floors and a fully stocked kitchen/dining area with granite counter tops, bar stools and all-new stainless steel appliances. The family-friendly living room frames picture windows and just beyond it reside a 3/4 bathroom with a granite vanity, a linen closet and the main floor bedroom with a queen bed, new carpet, a built-in closet and that spectacular view!
Descend the spiral staircase to the bunk room. The kiddos will go crazy over two custom bunk beds and two built-in berths, each with its own storage area and night light. The kids' room is complete with puzzles, games and ample room to play. The lower level also features new carpet, a second bedroom with a queen bed and its own private entrance, and a full bath with an over-sized washer and dryer.
DBBC is located at Double Bluff Beach and County Park, a premier spot for outdoor water sports and activities including fishing, crabbing, clamming, kayaking, kiteboarding, skimboarding and paddleboarding. The cabin is minutes away from grocery shopping in Freeland and the Saturday Bayview Farmer's Market (late Apr-Oct). While you are here, be sure to visit Langley -- South Whidbey's charming, seaside village -- for strolling, shopping, whale watching and dining.
Whidbey Island is a gem, home to magical memories and often referred to as 'the shortest distance to far away.' Many have been inspired and rejuvenated by this place, and year after year they continue to return. Double Bluff Beach Club is no different. We think you will LOVE it here!

Two families purchased this home in late 2012 after meeting through a shared interest in kiteboarding. One of the families lives right here on Whidbey Island. The other family live in Seattle.
Paul Tschetter purchased this cabin in 2012
Useless Bay is unmatched, and this property is amazing! The remodel was a serious labor of love, but it was well-worth the effort. We had a vision for this dusty old diamond in the rough; we believed it could be updated and enjoyed by future generations of families.
The cabin sits perched 40' up on Double Buff, but it still has direct waterfront access. The lot is 200' wide and over 3 acres. It's beautiful!
We had a great week at our favorite Whidbey Beach. Thank you for sharing your lovely house with us! Great location, amazing to watch the change in tides from the kitchen windows.
I wanted to celebrate a momentous birthday with my family, and this was the perfect setting that provided something for everyone...gorgeous views, beach play, kayaking, long walks at low tide, wildlife sightings (bald eagles!) and great proximity to Langley shops and restaurants.
Paul was gracious in every way, and the home was exactly what we imagined it would be.
I will definitely plan on heading back!
We had such a lovely time. Gorgeous views and amazing access to the beach! We had everything we needed in this great cabin.
We had an excellent experience at the Double Bluff Beach Club property. The property was exactly what we expected based on the reviews. The cabin had all of the all of the amenities that we required for a very relaxing vacation. We spent many hours walking on the beach and enjoying the scenery around Useless bay. We especially enjoyed the views from the deck and cabin. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacation in a great area.
We just got back from spending 2 nights as this beautiful house. The location is perfect since we also brought our 4 year old dog and walked the beach everyday. The views are breath taking - you have Mt Rainier in the background and the sound all around you.
The house was well equipped and felt like we lacked nothing. The master bedroom is upstairs and also offers views.
All in all, a most wonderful stay and dreaming of returning to this piece of paradise.
Perfect getaway for the whole family. The house was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the high quality linens and towels. Would love to return someday. The house faces east so bright sun in in morning.
All I can say is wow!!! I grew up going to Whidbey Island, but had never been to Double Bluff beach. So beautiful! We were also lucky enough to have summer weather in April. The house is located down a private dirt road with only a few other houses. The beach is open to the public, so there were many people but not over crowded. The beach in front of the house is off-leash, so my Labrador retriever had the time of his life. When he wasn't on the beach playing he was on the gorgeous deck over looking the beach watching all the dogs. The house is newly remodeled with every amenity you could ask for. Beautiful kitchen and the view from the living room/kitchen was breath taking. The kids had a great time sleeping in the bunk beds down stairs. The only thing about this house, if you are considering staying here, is there are many stairs to get up to the house and the stairs leading down to the kids bunk rooms is a spiral stair case. Can't wait to book this house again!
Whidbey Island is home to many special events throughout the year including Island County Fair, Penn Cove Mussel Festival, Whidbey Island Kite Festival, Choochokam Arts Festival, Maxwelton 4th of July Parade, Djangofest and Langley Mystery Weekend.
