Comfortable home with 1956 charm but remodeled with all new windows, tile floors and carpet. The kitchen is basic but functional and still has its original pink and brown tile. Two bedrooms have queen sized beds and the den has a double sized foldout sofa. The third bedroom has a twin sized bed. There are two bathrooms, one with the original yellow tile from 1956 which has been refreshed, and the other has been totally remodeled with a tiled walk-in shower. Set on over four acres, this home has a large yard with deer and birds to view. There is a blue water ocean view from the deck, and the beach is a quick 10 minute walk away. MacKerricher State Park sits between this home and the ocean. This is a great place for families with kids or for couples to share.
Recently Remodeled Home on Acreage Minutes from Beach.
About Marilyn Anderson
My husband and I recently retired to Fort Bragg, my husband's home town. He grew up in this house, and after his mother passed away we decided to keep it in the family and use it as an extra home for when family visits and also as a vacation rental.
Marilyn Anderson purchased this House in 2017
Why Marilyn Anderson chose Fort Bragg
This home has been owned by my husband's family since 1959, and we are pretty attached to it and want to honor its history. It is a very comfortable home which holds many wonderful memories.
What makes this House unique
This home has lots of charm with its redwood ceilings, beams and lots of paneling. The setting is quiet and woodsy, but it is still easy to run into Fort Bragg to shop and eat.

Wonderful Secluded House
This house, which is a little on the older side, is a wonderful getaway for peace and quiet. At night there are no sounds except the frogs and crickets. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the beach...one can see a little bit of the ocean from the outdoor patio... and the ocean can be heard. All the amenities are here...a great TV, internet (it could be a little faster). a fantastically well-stocked kitchen. One of the bonuses of this place is the extensive library of books...it is almost like a small library. I spend a lot of my free time perusing the collection.
Lovely home. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our weekend!
Nice quiet neighborhood. Walk to the beach. House was comfortable.
Sat on the deck and watched the sea in the distance and open land in between. New bathrooms and lots of towels.
Everything you could need was provided. We enjoyed our stay greatly. We would be interested in finding other rentals near by. We have a family get together and most of them stayed in motels. It would be nice to be close by each other.
Very vice house and yard. A quit area and an easy walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay. The house had everything you would need.
Perfect for our family get-away
The house was perfect for our recent family get-away. Slept 7 (we only had 6). Well appointed. Dog friendly. Beautiful meadow and deck. Fantastic view. Walk to the beach. We'll be back!
