My Tenants all say the Pictures and description don't do this fun ,Beautiful home justice and that it's much better than they expected. This vintage, victorian-style brick house has a vast history, but has also been completely restored in the last couple years. The structure of the home, along with some of the original elements (door handles, light fixtures, etc) provide a real sense of old world charm. These things contribute to the historic value of the once farmhouse, fitting in well with the Carver Historic District which the home is apart of. However, most elements (kitchens, bathrooms, etc) have been redone to give the house modern conveniences. Overall, the home is very spacious, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is fully furnished. There is a bonfire pit and a gas grill in the fully landscaped backyard. It is also walking distance to the quaint downtown area of Carver.

Why John Willard chose Carver
When I saw this house, I couldn't resist buying it. It is so rare to see the older homes built in this victorian style and also completely redone on the inside, it's a real treasure. Someone clearly took very good care of it for a long time.
What makes this House unique
The outside of the home is beautiful. The brick and the structure are gorgeous. Then you go inside and it's just as wonderful. The old wood floors, the stained glass windows, the front porch, the flowers and plant life in both the front and back yard all add to the appeal of the home.

Perfect for our trip!
Nice house, was perfect for what we needed. Also, John was quick to respond to any questions we had.
Great place to stay
Very clean and quite place to stay. House was very clean and comfortable. Stayed on a work trip and it was so much nicer than staying in a motel. I would highly recommend
Beautiful renovated home - with a few glitches.
The home is lovely and within walking distance of the small town of Carver with cute shops, restaurants and walking/biking along the nature preserve. I would give full stars but we had a few glitches with the heating and hot water. John was responsive and eager to correct the problems, but they did provide an inconvenience.
Plenty of space for the "50 year" high school gathering of best friends
The setting was very nice and private. The town of Carver is very quaint. You can go to so many places from this VRBO. We went to Waconia, Chaska, Minnetonka, New Prague, Jordan and other areas where we enjoyed wineries, shopping, theater and more. We walked down the street for supper one night. That was very convenient.
Nice for the money.
We arrived at night and it was a bit hard to find the keypad as there was no overhead light on the porch. The bedrooms were fine, dated not the best beds, twin beds are a little narrow. There is a very creepy attic before the last bedroom and that scared us a little. The shower in the master bedroom leaks down into the kitchen even if you use the curtain. Candles everywhere downstairs no matches anywhere. We were in town for the Junk Bonanza which was close by so that was fine. There are two bars down the street. We ate at Lisa's and the burger was pretty good. Very nice people. Be aware that there is a shooting range in the area so if you want to go for a run early there are guns going off all over the place nearby but controlled just a little strange that we didn't know this. Dog next door barked a lot. Cute little town. The coffee shop in town Cup of Carver is just ok. I would go to the Casey's there and get there before 7 for coffee and grab some homemade doughnuts. They were wonderful. Owner is kind and responsive to calls.
Kind of a strange review , there is not a shooting range but that was a open of duck/goose hunting weekend and there is farmland about a mile away so they may have heard shots from that. Also there is a unfinished attack space but no reason for tenants to go up up there as there is 2400 sg feet of beautifully finished space to live in. There are some battery operated candles on the main level but for safety and insurance purposes we don’t encourage lighting candles .
The shower has leaked when people don’t close the shower curtain properly but I put a new curtain up.
This vintage Victorian-style home has been completely restored and is located in the heart of historic Carver, Minnesota. It is short walking distance to the small downtown area of Carver which includes a nice restaurant, two bars, post office and a general store/gas station. It is driving distance to anything else that Minneapolis or the Southwest suburbs have to offer.
