Country setting close to town , great view, quiet, cozy, comfortable
You will feel like you are visiting a beautiful country home but will only be a few minutes from the city of Georgetown. Wilbarger Point is situated 1 mile east of downtown Georgetown overlooking a green belt and Southwestern University. The villa is located behind our home, The Jesse Cooper House, which is on the Texas Historical Registry. We have just re-built the villa. We've used reclaimed wood on all of the floors through the house. There is a spacious porch on the front and a comfortable covered deck on the back with a great view. Your furry friends are welcome at the villa. We live on site and are available if you need us. We only ask that you treat the villa as if it were your own.

About Susan Snow
Jimmy and I are both retired. We have always dreamed of living in a historical home. We moved to Georgetown in 1986. We bought the Jesse Cooper house in 1996. We opened the Jesse Cooper Cottage first. We are now ready to open the Wilbarger Villa. We have really enjoyed providing a clean and cozy place for guests to Georgetown who needed a place to stay. We have hosted weekend guests, people who had to be out of their home because of flood damage, people who were between houses in the housing market, people who want to be near family during the winter months, people here because of doctor visits, traveling doctors and nurses, and family and friends. We love to garden. Jimmy loves to hunt and fish and he loves to work on Troy Bilt tillers on the side. I love to sew and quilt, but most of all I love spending time with our grandchildren. Our pets are part of our family, so we feel it important that our guests can bring their pets with them when they visit our rentals.
Susan Snow purchased this House in 1996
Why Susan Snow chose Georgetown
After searching for just the right "old House" we found the Jesse Cooper House on Wilbarger. We tried to purchase it for 3 years and finally we were successful. We love the location, love the character of the place, love having a place to garden, and love being in the country.
What makes this House unique
The property is quiet, situated on 3 acres. We love that we are close to the city of Georgetown, with all of the comforts of being in the country. The Villa on Wilbarger has just been completely rebuilt from top to bottom. We were able to use reclaimed lumber for the floors, trim, and accent wall. The front porch will give you a beautiful view of the sunrise and the deck on the back will give you a beautiful view of Georgetown and its amazing sunsets. There is a small fenced backyard for your furry friend. During gardening season, we are always happy to share our bounty. This is a new listing, but we are not new to VRBO. We have an additional one bedroom cottage that is adjacent to the Villa that is also listed on VRBO, called the Jesse Cooper Cottage, VRBO #589211. The success of the cottage is what inspired us to turn the villa into a VRBO.

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at the villa! It was a cozy home with all the amenities we needed! The location felt private and secluded, but within close range to any store we wished to visit! The owners were very friendly and communicated well with us during our stay!
Thank you for your kind words. We’re glad that we could provide a comfortable place for you and your family’s visit to Georgetown.
Thumbs up for The Villa on Wilbarger...
We (2 senior couples attending a nearby wedding) quite enjoyed our stay at The Villa on Wilbarger. Newly remodeled and nicely furnished, clean, quiet and comfortable. A hiccup with the plumbing was taken care of with due dispatch by our hosts. Would stay again!
Great location and very nice property!
Had a great time staying in the Villa. Very close to downtown Georgetown and other sites of interest. Will definitely stay again in the future.
This was our second stay at this home. Again, the home was spotless!
I can't say enough about our hosts. They thought of everything in amenities, from lots of bottled water which was appreciated for our race days at Circuit of the Americas, to Susan's yummy caramel corn. What a nice touch! We were two couples and loved that we each had a wing with bath. Also loved the setting - private but close to town.
The Villa on Wilbarger exceeded our expectations. The place is outfitted with every modern amenity and stocked with items you don't expect a VRBO host to provide. High end appliances, and excellent quality craftsmanship throughout the cottage. The rooms are small, but comfortable for a family of four, six, if they don't mind a blow up mattress. Susan is lovely and very welcoming. The house is in a very quiet street, few neighbors, and a great country feel. A very short drive to downtown Georgetown. About 20 minutes from Austin.
Georgetown is quaint and adorable - but has everything, including very nice restaurants plus the usual chain establishments. I would very much like to come back!! (and when I do, I'm staying in this house!!)
Thank you very much for your very kind words. Your description of our Villa is everything that we want it to be. We look forward to seeing you again!
The Villa on Wilbarger is a wonderful place to stay just down the road from Southwestern University and the heart of Georgetown. The house was so clean as well as comfortable and provided everything we needed to feel at home. Really liked the two bedrooms with their own baths. Also a great fenced yard for our dogs! We will definitely go back to the villa. Thanks Susan!
Thank you for your kind words. We work on keeping the Villa clean and making it a comfortable place for families and pets. We look forward to having you as guests again!
We are 1/2 mile from the 130 toll road. It takes about 30 minutes to get to ABIA from here. Downtown Georgetown is 2 miles away. Georgetown is full of fun activities from live music, to a beautiful park, an amazing walking trail that will take you to the lake and to great restaurants. The local baseball team, The Round Rock Express is always a fun outing. We can recommend restaurants and help you find whatever fun your heart desires.
