If you are tired of crowds and want a more relaxing, peaceful vacation, you will absolutely love 'Sea La Vie' here at Summer Camp Beach. The Forgotten Coast awaits you!
This place is exactly how the pictures show, clean, everything you need is there and tastefully decorated. We arrived at night and it was a bit hard to find so I would suggest arriving in the daylight. The neighbors were so very helpful and went out of their way to help us find the home and people are so friendly in this town and surrounding areas.
Our family rented during Thanksgiving Week 2016. My 2 boys (age 11 & 15), my wife & my in-laws wanted a very peaceful getaway. If you are looking for a place for easy access to Malls, Movie Theaters, etc. - this is not the place. But - if you are looking for a quiet cozy get away with access to UNTAINTED beaches, no TRAFFIC, and just QUIET - this is the place to rent.
We came armed with a variety of board games, books, and (actually) a lot of pre-made meals. We relaxed (a lot) and walked the beaches. The house comes with everything you'd need - we made a fire, explored the beach, etc. With the community you have access to kayaks & canoes which was convenient. As long as you know what you are getting (the forgotten coast) and you know there isn't tons of great restaurants, etc. the place is perfect for a peaceful little getaway.
Great house! Our family had a great time at St. Teresa Beach. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
We had a great stay, and it was the most relaxing vacation I've ever had. The pool was lovely and quiet. The Turkey Point Beach was beautiful.
I highly recommend this property! We loved the decor and all amenities were as described in the listing. Very clean, well maintained and stocked with the basics. Great customer service. Short walk to the tranquil beach. The house's front porch and back porch are equally inviting for relaxing with a book. Also short drive to the Panacea Aquarium (great for kids) and also 30 minute drive to Apalachicola. Please eat at Boss's Oyster. Also Fathom's in Carabelle was great for live music on Saturday night!
Located on St. James Island, SummerCamp Beach's environmentally friendly design integrates its homes and amenities with the natural surroundings.
More than half of this coastal community has been set aside for conservation, featuring open space and conservation land, beautiful beaches, wildlife habitats and undisturbed marshlands, wetlands and woods. Fish, canoe or swim in the Gulf of Mexico and then stroll along boardwalks winding through the woods in search of fireflies.
Should your wanderlust take you farther, SummerCamp Beach is surrounded by a national forest, a state forest as well as the St. George Island and Ochlockonee River State Parks.
