About Tracy Carter

We moved to Ashton in 1994 to escape into the forest and to live in the beauty of the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park and near great fishing, hunting, hiking and snowmobiling all right in our back yard.

Tracy Carter purchased this cabin in 1994

Why Tracy Carter chose Eastern Idaho

Sleep in the shadow of the Grand Tetons, near Yellowstone and within an 'stones throw' of some of the greatest fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling in the world. This is great quiet location, perfect to escape from it all. We are near some of the greatest fishing in the world; Henry's Fork of the Snake River, Warm River, and Fall River.

What makes this cabin unique

Spring and Summer you have the greatest place to hike - the back end of Yellowstone National park that provides multiple hiking trails. You can hike from the southwest end of the park, which is only 14 miles from the cabin, into Yellowstone's Old Faithful. Plus World renown flying fishing only minutes away. Winter, some of the greatest snowmobiling and X-country skiing in the world.

Without a doubt, best rental out there

  • 5 of 5

By far, this is the best cabin rental we have ever had. We traveled all the way from Virginia for our first experience at Yellowstone and staying at this cabin made our trip even better. The cabin was exceptionally clean and fully stocked with every amenity you can imagine. Tracy has been a blessing to deal with from the very beginning and I will definitely be telling all our friends and family about the cabin.

Perfect in every way!

Cannot say enough about this great Cabin. Location is great for visiting the Tetons, Yellowstone and local falls were beautiful. It is just like walking in to your home, with everything there waiting for you. Grocery store is right down the road, we bought groceries our first day and were set for the rest of our stay. Traci is the perfect host. We will be back if ever in the area again!

We really enjoyed staying in the cabin. It is roomy, comfortable, very well stocked with linens, kitchen supplies, laundry needs, etc. Tracy was very accommodating and friendly. This is a great place to stay. It is very well furnished and decorated too. We would stay there again if in the area.

Had a great time at the "little cabin in the woods". Our family of four slept comfortably with plenty of room for all. The location is awesome as we were close to parks and recreation to the north and family to the south (Idaho Falls area). The cabin was well equipped with anything we could need. The bathroom afforded privacy, and the washer/dryer was ultra convenient. We really enjoyed the fire pit at night. The kids loved the play area. Grocery/gas/cafe's were about 8 miles away. Mosquitos were not too bad. Really loved "Beau", the owners dog!

Great place in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. Very comfortable beds. The washer and dryer were also a nice bonus. We sat outside at night (bring bug spray) and watched the meteor shower. This is a great place if you want to check out the Tetons while in the Yellowstone area. Great scenery on the drive to the cabin and to the Tetons.
