About Nate & Becky Mason
We are a family of five that live locally in Lamoine. We got into vacation rental properties when we found from our own experiences it to be impossible or to costly to book hotel rooms for larger families. That's when we started offering vacation properties in our area. We also discovered by renting from others what makes a great rental experience, so we made each of our properties is uniquely different. Whether its hand cut post and beam, seaside cottage, secluded waterfront cabin, or a traditional Maine lakeside camp, we try to offer a wide range of a real Maine experience. We hope you enjoy staying with us.

Why Nate & Becky Mason chose Lamoine
Seabreeze at Meadow point is a wonderfully unique property. It offers the quiet peaceful rural neighborhood feel but has enough property to be quite secluded. The private sandy gravel beach right out the front door offers days of play and relaxation.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottage is also unique in its design. It has two separate living areas connected by a large breezeway. This makes it perfect for larger families be together but also find some quiet space.

We have used several short term vacation rentals in the past and this was by far the most well stocked one. Two families with 5 kids total had enough space to share time together and apart. One bathroom could use some updating as the shower is very cramped but everything else was wonderful. The private beach was very tranquil and Acadia and Bar Habor are about a 35-40 min. drive away. We would definitely stay here again.
Rustic sea cottage in a great location
This was a beautiful rustic cottage in a private setting in the woods by the bay. Our family enjoyed the cottage. We were out by the water every day. Not only did we enjoy swimming in the cold water, but also watching the gorgeous sunsets over the water. It was very convenient not to have to drive to the beach and to be able to come right back to the cottage and wash up after several hours on the beach. The owners were kind and responsive to our needs. The hot water stopped working on our last night, and Nate came right out to take care of the situation. Just a few items to note: there is no oven and no locks on the bathroom doors in the cottage. We managed without these, but these are typical in most rental homes. Also, Maine has a pebbly coast, so water shoes are helpful. Finally, Maine is swarming with mosquitos, so it is imperative to have bug spray, which the owners provided at the cottage. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend this property.
Trip without mom
We had a last minute change to our vacation but it still turn out perfect. Kids ended up going. They had no problem get there. They got to do things that they have done before. Definitely planning on coming back.
Three generations enjoyed the house, wildlife, and beach. Adequate space for everyone. Hosts helpful when needed. Four-burner stove with an oven would have been better, also an updated microwave.
A great week on the Maine coast
The property is aptly described. It is both rustic and very comfortable. The sunset views from the beach are beautiful, and the location is tranquil, wooded, and very pretty. The rustic house has been cleverly expanded over the years, and suits the location well. It felt like we'd jumped back in time to a great Maine camp.
The proximity to Acadia National Park made it very easy for us to spend days in the park when the weather permitted. We had some rain since our visit was in the "shoulder season" and we expected it. That made the house feel all the more snug.
Communication with the owners was great, and our visit went off without a hitch. We can happily recommend this property to someone looking for a comfortable, quiet vacation on the Maine coast in a home with echoes of Maine history.
Peaceful cottage in a tranquil location. Roomy for a number of people but also cozy for just one. Has all the amenities you would want and an outside fire pit area as well. Right along the coastline of an inlet. 25 min drive to Acadia National Park for great hiking. Incredible seafood in Bar Harbor, try out Street Side Cafe. Would stay again!
Lamoine is a quiet small town just 10 minutes from the City of Ellsworth. It sits on a peninsula in Frenchman's Bay and surrounded by the sea. It offers two town owned oceanfront beaches and a nice freshwater beach for swimming. It is perfectly situated between both parts of Acadia National Park, but also offers a great jumping off point to explore Downeast Coastal Maine or the Blue Hill Pennisula. All within a few minutes of the amenities of Ellsworth.
