Don't look any further! If you want the best location, views, home, and a great host, this is it!!!

I booked this home within about 30 days of our travel. We were on a ski trip at Snowshoe WV for the week between Christmas and New Years, and had so much fun, we wanted to get some more time on the slopes. This home is as advertised in the description, as well as the photos.

It was everything we were expecting, and more. The hosts were super easy to deal from, right from day 1. We were kept update and informed all the way through the arrival and departure. The hosts left nothing to be discovered on our own, and it made it super convenient.

From the scenery on the drive into town, to the Banner Elk town itself, all they way to driving up to the home and getting inside, this entire area is beautiful. The views from the front porch and great room of this home are to die for. Over looking Grandfather Mountain, and the deep valley below it was quite a site for a Floridian such as myself.

The home was just as beautiful as the nature surrounding it. Wood floors, high ceilings, gas fireplace, deck, garage, everything was right. The home is stocked with everything you will need for an extended stay. We loved, loved, loved the AppleTV complete with over 90+ movies(if you wanna watch a great movie, watch Fury). The bluetooth soundbar made for awesome movie watching experience, as well as connecting the phones for some tunes to lighten the mood. The bonus room over the garage was a perfect spot for the 3 pre-teens we had with us. They could have a good time to themselves, and we could have a nice quiet space too.

The beds, bedding, towels, everything was all high quality and left nothing to be desired. My wife and I are proud owners of a tempurpedic mattress. This is great while you are at home, but, when we travel, if the bed is not on point, we tend to feel it in the morning. None of that here. Large king size bed in the master was more than comfortable.

The purpose of our trip was strictly slope time. I specifically picked this home due to location to Beech Mountain, as well as Sugar Mountain. We never made it over to Sugar, as we were having too much fun at Beech, and really, it's only about 2-3 miles up the hill from this home. So, if you are looking into this home for ski purposes, you can't go wrong.

If you can't tell by now, we were completely satisfied with every aspect of our trip, this home, location, and the hosts. I would recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet getaway, anytime of the year. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

Beautiful home with stunning views

  • 4 of 5

This home was beautiful with amazing scenery. The home was clean and well stocked with kitchen implements. We saw wildlife and great sunsets every evening and enjoyed roasted marshmallows on the fire pit. We would love to make this a yearly trip and look forward to staying here again.

One suggestion though, the mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. I was rather uncomfortable due to feeling the spring through the mattress.

A wonderful home with everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

This home was beautiful and a wonderful area for a quiet get away. We went skiing at Sugar Mountain only 5 miles away. We watched deer from the front porch and there was plenty of firewood if we would have used the firepit. It was a little too cold for our Florida blood. Beautiful fireplace inside was perfect. Contact person and owners were very helpful.
