3 bedroom/2 bathroom chalet style house, 1.5 min walk from the beautiful beach
We fell in love with Grand Turk when we visited the island in 2016. Beautiful, secluded beaches, the feeling that this is your own piece of paradise, spectacular scuba diving, are the factors that made us decide to purchase this property. We hope that one day this will be our retirement home.

What makes this Chalet unique
The house is close to the beach, if you had been in a resort, you would likely be further away from the beach. Every evening enjoy beautiful sunsets since "our" beach is on the west side of the island. The island is best known for it's spectacular wall for scuba diving! If you are or want to become scuba diver, this place is unique and unforgettable. Imagine listening to humpback whales while diving during winter months.

The villa is even nicer than it appears in the pictures. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. We lived hanging out on the deck and playing with the pot cakes (dogs). The beach is beautiful and very private. This was our first time renting a vacation home and everything about the experience was positive.
A fun family vacation
This home was well equipped , we rode bikes to the dive shop every day, snorkeled off the beach every day, and cooked some great meals !
Thank you for your comments and for feeding island dogs called "Potcakes".
Wonderful accommodation, Perfect Beach – it’s a Hidden Gem
What a wonderful vacation!
Upon arrival at the airport we were greeted by property manager Joeb, who took us to the property. The house is actually even better than in pictures! Everything is appointed with comfort and convenience in mind. Here are the details:
Kitchen – seems to be brand new with top-end appliances (smooth top Samsung stove, stainless steel dishwasher, Samsung microwave oven, Nespresso coffee machine, panini press, blender, bread-maker, Brita-filter jug, toaster, hand mixer, full size fridge with large freezer compartment). Lots of pots, frying pans, even a frying pan for crepes! Huge drawer full of spices and pantry with few essentials to get us going.
Bedrooms – each bedroom has very comfortable queen bed with baldachin and mosquito nets. Large ceiling fans (remotely controlled from your bed) and air conditioners (if needed) gave us comfortable sleeping environment (bug free, with light breeze.
Living room – as comfy as in the photos. LCD TV with cable service had lots of channels (but we did not watch them). Internet connection and WiFi were good with adequate speed for our needs. TV cabinet has books, diving guides, playing cars, board games – and there is even a stack of paper to keep scores!
Outside: The best thing is a large deck on three sides of the house, under a big tree, so that at any time of the day, there is a shade to your liking. We had hard time deciding what was more comfortable: zero gravity chairs (there are two of them) or a rustic hammock.
We really liked the two bikes that were free of charge. Air compressor for inflating tires and even spare tires were provided. We used bikes a lot, as the island is mostly flat, and everything is in biking distance.
The BEACH – ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT. Less than two minutes from the house is a long white-sand, perfectly clean beach surrounded by green-turquoise water – and completely empty. Most of the time we were the only people for at least half a mile. Large tree gives a nice shade. As the wind was blowing from the shore, water was always calm and perfectly clear, which gave us fantastic snorkeling experience (we say lion-fish, barracudas, and even a flying eagle-ray). No sea weed – just crystal clear turquoise water. We spent hours sitting in Tommy Bahamas chairs (they have three) and enjoying sunset views.
Location: everything is within 10 minutes bike ride.
Overall - a perfect vacation!
Well the previous reviews were correct. The beach is close, beautiful and VERY quiet. The house is wonderful it was all we expected. Was well supplied for cooking and eating in, the AC and fans kept us very comfortable and was generally a nice breeze when patio doors were open. As suggested, we did take some meat along for dinners. Used several grocery stores which are generally close plus the bakery for morning pastries! The caretaker, Joab, took good care of us, arranged and delivered bicycles, arranged a car rental and addressed our needs. This was a great excursion and experience. If your looking for a relaxing get away with private beach, this is it!!
Our stay in Turks was wonderful. Scuba diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, kayaking and enjoying beautiful sunsets and ocean views were all amazing. You literally have a private beach minutes away!
We did have a few hiccups though. No internet, cutting us off from family (and most of all our dog) which was annoying, but the neighbors were kind enough to let us use thei WiFi. There was also a problem with the ceptic which made thing difficult. A few days before our arrival one of the bicycles was stolen. It would have been more convenient for the owner to rent us one, but again, the neighbors to the rescue with their golf cart!
If you should need a second house to rent right next door, the neighbors are great people as well.
We’d go again!

Perfect House in Paradise
This house was perfect for our group of 6 adults. It had all of the amenities we needed. The back deck was great to hang out on, and we loved our daily visits from the local Potcakes. A short walk to a beautiful secluded beach and great snorkel spot. The house supplies 3 beach chairs, umbrella, beach mats, and towels but I can guarantee you will be in the crystal clear water most of the time. Grand Turk is a lovely slow-paced island you barely noticed when the cruise ships were in port. The locals are friendly and kind. The only problem I found is that we had to leave :( . Next time we will reserve 3 weeks!
Tip: If you get in on Saturday your first stop should be the liquor store before 6:00pm (its just around the corner). It will be closed on Sunday along with everything else on the Island except the grocery stores.
Our favorite things to do and places to visit in Grand Turk
⦁ Diving & snorkeling: If you are a diver or you want to become a diver, diving here is spectacular. Grand Turk Wall and reef is the 3rd largest in the world. All dive sites are very close, so boat rides out are brief. Snorkeling from the shore is not as good as diving, there is no live coral, but you can see some colorful tropical fish around ancient coral shelves. There are few snorkeling spots on our beach, on both sides of a jetty, and on Cockburn Town Beach. Weathered shelves and gullies; line much of Cockburn Town beach shore. Snorkeling close to Sandbar Restaurant is probably the best in this area.
⦁ Governor Beach: it is beautiful, maybe the best beach on Grand Turk, with the most sparkling ocean water. Governor beach is north of Cruise center and south of our house. It will take you approx. 30 min from our house to walk to Governor Beach along the coast. The site gets its name from being the location of the Governor’s mansion. Wide send beach with unbelievably crystal water, sheltered from the typical winds, and a thick Casuarina tree grove for shade. Not good snorkeling. There is a large grounded shipwreck on Governor’s beach, the Mega One Triton, washed ashore during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
⦁ Duke street and Sand bar; Duke Street is the heart of historic Cockburn Town, and is an attraction all by itself. Duke and Front Streets comprise the main thoroughfares of this ancient colonial landscape, and it’s also here where most things in Cockburn Town are happening. Filled with boutique hotels, and ancient colonial buildings – this tree-lined street is a step into history as well as being the main commercial center of Cockburn Town. Stop at Sand bar and enjoy spectacular sunsets.
⦁ Bohio Beach: it is in section of Pillory beach. The sections in front of Bohio Dive resort and both north and south side are excellent for swimming with a clean sandy bottom. The north part is good for snorkeling. This is a quiet and sheltered coastline with soft white sand and clear water.
⦁ Lighthouse & North Chanel: The lighthouse is Grand Turk’s most famous landmark and the main historical atraction. Beautiful scenery and lovely view of the northern reef. Don’t miss the scenic coastal path that leads along the cliffs north of the lighthouse. Very serene and peaceful if cruise ship visitors are not there, where the donkeys roam free.
At the northern end of Grand Turk there is an inland channel, North Creek, which has traditionally served as a shelter from hurricanes for yachts and small boats. When you go to Lighthouse, just before reaching Lighthouse, turn left to unpaved road that will lead you to the entrance of North Creek.
