This home has room for the entire family, sleeping up to 7 plus your pets. Whether your are heading to Glacier National Park or any of the many other things to do in the Flathead Valley, you'll love to come home to the peacefulness of the Country Gem and relax on the deck with your favorite cold beverage while enjoying the quiet views of the surrounding mountains. The 2 miniature ponies love to be petted and fed carrots and there's lots of room to play ball with your dog. Have a salad made with fresh ingredients you have picked from the garden (by mid-summer). Play a game of horseshoes or cook smores over the campfire in the yard. Just 7 minutes from town, 20 minutes from Flathead Lake, 30 minutes from Glacier National Park and Whitefish Mountain (zip-lining), and only 5-30 minutes from several golf courses, you are conveniently located to whatever you would like to do. There are outdoor concerts, art festivals, and 2 summer theatres in the area.

This custom farmhouse has cherry cabinets, tile and laminate floors, lots of light and an open feel with great views, an inviting fireplace, a piano and a guitar. The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances and cooking needs, including spices and condiments (food not included). Enjoy the 55' HD LED flat screen TV to watch movies from the DVD library, Netflix or listen to music on Pandora inside or outside on the deck. Bring your laptop and take advantage of the high-speed wireless internet. The main bedroom, which is newly remodeled, has skylights above the queen bed and there are large walk-in closets with enough space for all. A futon (double) and a queen luxury air-mattress are available in addition to the queen bed in the master bedroom along with a single bed in a separate bedroom downstairs. There is I full bath and 1 half bath upstairs.

The home has a total of 5 skylights to let in all the Montana sunshine, a large deck facing south with a smaller deck off the bedroom and a 4 person hot tub to relax in while enjoying the stars at night. There are 2 tree farms lining 2 sides of the property and a long row of poplar trees to relax under in the afternoons. There's plenty of room for the entire family to play outdoors, whether it is croquet, volleyball, horseshoes, yard games, sitting in the shade of multiple full-growth poplar trees or around a campfire.

Because pets are welcome in this Country Gem, there is a 'doggy' door upstairs with a custom area for 'little' dogs to go out onto the deck into a 5x8 covered chain-link kennel for your use as well if desired. The yard, almost an acre, is fenced so dogs and little children can't get into the pasture with the horses accidentally. The owner is a certified professional dog trainer, so if your dog has any annoying behaviors or just needs a little friendly assistance on it's manners, these can be addressed, with an appointment, while you are out 'playing' in Montana.

Cleanliness is a priority in this immaculate Country Gem and non-toxic or natural products are used as much as possible making the home safe for your entire family, including your pets. Attention has been paid to every detail to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

About Debi Buchholz

I grew up in the Bitterroot Valley, south of Missoula, MT on a cattle ranch and was always on the back of a horse. After marrying, I was a mom of 3 children, including a set of twins, all of whom I home-schooled for several years. As a younger woman I trained horses and I've owned 2 breeding stallions and mares in the past. I've ridden jumping horses, done dressage, and 'natural horsemanship'. As my children grew up I began showing dogs in conformation. I have my little Shih Tzu as pets and am a Karen Pryor Certified Positive Reinforcement Dog Trainer. I use all postiive methods and teach as well as train. Animals have always been a focal point of my life for as long as I can remember. I love Montana, the outdoors and all that there is to do here. Glacier Park never fails to take my breath away, and tho I've been other places, there's no place like Montana.

Why Debi Buchholz chose Montana

I moved to Kalispell in 2003 and after looking at property all over the valley, finally found this piece of land. It is in the farming area of Creston. It has amazing views, is private, yet close to everything there is to do. I absolutely love being next to the tree farms. I can have trees without having to look straight up to see the sun. The home was originally built to be a guest house upstairs with a horse barn downstairs, but it was never used as a barn and life circumstances changed those plan. The downstairs has since been finished out to be a training area where I teach puppy classes in the winter months. I do volunteer teaching for the local 4-H program during the summer months at a park in town so the downstairs is unused during those months. This property has great views and privacy and I love sitting on the deck watching the horses in the pasture, hummingbirds on the flowers and enjoying Montana.

This home is a very unique design. It is built to follow the sun throughout the day and to enjoy all the views and their beauty. It is secluded yet close, has decks, privacy, and a full RV hook-up in case part of your family wants to join you in an RV. There is room for all to play and your pets are welcome. Everything is very clean and I'll provide you with all the information and guidance that I can for a wonderful stay in Montana.

Beautiful, peaceful, wonderful stay!

My husband and I had an excellent stay at this property!! First let me say that Debi was very accommodating. We had to change our week to a later time in September and Debi was very responsive and changed it for us. Once we arrived, Debi walked us through her property and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The first thing I noticed after the beautiful scenery surrounding her property was how clean her house was! We have rented many homes over the years and this one was the cleanest by far! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to feel right at home. Everything in the home was well maintained and of great quality. Debi gave us great recommendations of places to eat and we were not disappointed in the least with any of them. The views from the kitchen, decks, and bedroom are outstanding! Watching the sunset at night was just fabulous. The beautiful flowers on the decks and around the outside were gorgeous. This home is central to many local attractions and close to anything you need shopping wise. Even though Debi does stay in her RV at the back of the property, she was never intrusive and respected our privacy. We knew she had dogs as pets, but we never heard them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property, loved meeting her sweet pets, and highly recommend Debi's lovely home to anyone. Thank you Debi, for sharing your home with us.

Great Views And Beautiful Home

Debi is great!!! We didn't get to the house until 10pm on our check in day and she still showed us around the house and explained all the amenities to us. She was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had about her place or places to go see/eat in Kalispell. It was fun getting to see her dogs and miniature horses. She works very hard and part of that is using the downstairs area under the rented out space as her training area for her pups. That being said, she is very thoughtful of her guests and there was no issue with noise or invasion of privacy. This is the perfect place if you are looking for an AirBnB and you have a dog that you want to bring with you! We really enjoyed the stay and it was only a 45-50 minute drive to the gate of Glacier National Park. We slept 6 men in the house and she made sure we had enough bedding for all of us. The hot tub did have maintenance problem one night while we were there but that's normal for hot tubs to have issues once in a blue moon. She was very responsive and started calling around immediately to take care of the problem. Overall, Debi and her place were both great. The views were amazing. The horse shoes were a blast. The house was beautiful. It worked out for us perfectly, even to the point that the one guy we had with us who snored extremely loud had his own single bed far away from the other sleeping areas. Ha! Thanks Debi!

Great place, quite close to Glacier National Park

This was the first time my friends and I ever tried out Airbnb and we couldn't have asked for a better host for our first booking. Her property is quite well maintained and has picturesque views from all around. I highly recommend this place for those who are visiting Glacier National Park, as it is just half an hour away from the West Glacier side of the park.

Montana Paradise

My family (husband and two kids) had a fabulous time in wonderful home! The house was clean and well decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bedding was top quality and there were lots of extra pillows and bedding in the closet. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises on one side of the house and lovely sunsets on the other. The large lawn was great for the kids to play and we made use of the firepit and made smores under the stars. Debi (the owner) is very helpful and my kids LOVED meeting her horses and dogs. The property is peaceful and quiet. We spent most of our days in Glacier National Park which is about 30 minutes. I hope we can return again. THANKS DEBI!!!

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE

Let me preface by saying, I've stayed at over 25 VRBO/ HomeAway properties in the last 3 years. I'm not a rookie traveler or to the situations that may arise. I've NEVER left a bad review or complained. HomeAway can verify.

I contacted Debbie, and let her know we were on our way to her "house", and would be there in a few hours. (I am traveling with 3 kids, and didn't want any hiccups).

8pm I contact her again, and it goes straight to voicemail. Call again at about 9pm and she finally answers and tells us how to get there. We drive to the property and see a few different lit buildings/objects and no people so we drive back on the property about 50 ft.

Debi comes out of a camper trailer, with 10-15 dogs yapping, saying "you can't come back here", I'll meet you upfront by the other house. First red flag.

As we went in the front door we smelled HEAVY dog urine. The place was overwhelming. As you walk in, you see it's not so much a house, but a dog boarding/washing/ training facility. (Look it up online Google Anything Pawsible Kalispell).

Long story short, she breeds, "trains", boards and washes dogs in this house. The "2nd" room she says she has, is part of that area. The house is all open and the whole things smells unbearable.

After trying to make it work, because the kids are tired and cranky after traveling, we realize it just won't work. Dog urine smell, hair all over blankets, bugs all over the inside (she explained "just pick them up and set them outside")

After being there an hour, I call Debi and tell her it won't work and it's not as advertised. She becomes combative. She refuses to listen. I sent her pictures. She insists there is no smell and she "hired a cleaning company, just to smell the house, not clean it, so there is no smell she swears".

She refuses a refund. We are out the full amount we paid. Our vacation ruined because the nightmare situation.

She may try and tell you otherwise, but unless you live and are accustom to a house with 10+ small, "pee-pad" pets, this is not a good option.

She may tell you it's fine, but have her take a quick video or her camper trailer, and her ENTIRE house and "2nd" room, before booking. You will see exactly what I'm talking about. Cages, kennels, dog training facility, dog washing, and the smell that will surely ruin any vacation.

Owner's Response: VRBO stated their records do not match this guest's claims of past stays. This guest requested a discounted rate & early check-in, then arrived 5+ hrs after check-in & after dark. I left night lights on. They drove past the home over 100 yds across my lawn to my RV, barely missing a baby tree & my hose; naturally my dogs barked. Once in the home, their children were running, grabbing breakables, etc. They refused the walk-thru, incl how to use the electronics & I believe they had no intention of staying. Shortly thereafter they phoned to say they were leaving; I requested to be shown the hair or location of smells, but the guest refused. After the phone call, I went into the home while on the phone with VRBO & photographed everything. They had rifled thru things, dumping clean linens on the floor, messed up beds, moved items & breakables around. I locked the home and left it untouched until the next day. At 8am the next morning, I contacted an unknown to me cleaning company. The owner came out. Her written report in part stated: "I observed that there was no smell of urine or any other pet odor of any kind. The home was in excellent condition upon a fine detail inspection. There was no pet hair that was stated by the guest who complained. I looked in spots that are typically missed and found no pet hair. I would have never suspected that pets were permitted in this home." When this cleaning company did not agree with the guest, he phoned her, threatening her & her business with bad reviews as well as myself. The legal authorities had to be involved; this guest was warned to stay off my property. The little pine beetles are out this time of year; I pointed them out so there would be no concern as ccasionally one will get in the house. They are harmless, I just flick them out the door. In summary: I requested to see any issues & would have done whatever was necessary to remedy the situation. This guest not only refused to show me his concerns, but the cleaning company could not find any issues to correct. My pets are Shih Tzu, a hypo-allergenic breed, which this guest did not see. I have no cages or kennels in the home. I DO NOT board/train or groom other's dogs. I teach pet dog classes for owners & their dogs in the "off" season in an area separate from the home & at a park in town during the summers when the home is rented. As VRBO put them up in a hotel, I suspect this guest had no intention of staying but perhaps hoped for a refund and a free vacation.

Beautiful Property

Beautiful property, easy access to area, very clean. Nice and relaxing. We are dog lovers so we asked if we could see all of her precious babies which were absolutely beautiful. We fell in love with them. Enjoyed our time.
