About the property

Sunshine Villa is a large Victorian house that has recently been lovingly restored to a high standard. Two reception rooms, dining room for 8 and a fully fitted, modern kitchen create a spacious, airy home which is ideal for large groups or families - who need space while on holiday by the sea. We use hotel bed linen - beautiful white linen & fluffy white towels.

The south facing Moroccan themed courtyard with barbecue & seating is a tranquil place to relax after a day on the beach.

Each bedroom is carefully decorated to create a relaxing environment for our guests - 2 bathrooms / a separate WC is ideal for large groups.

There is a 'play room' for children which includes, TV and a box of fun dressing up clothes, lots of books and games.

Golf is only a putt away at the North Foreland golf course or mini golf is 5 minutes away. Great coastal bike and walking trails. Sailing clubs. There's something for everyone in Broadstairs - old or young. Our pictures say it all.

Surrounding areas: With fast rail links to Ashford International and Ebbsfleet International, Europe is easily reached on Eurostar. The port of Dover is only 30 minutes drive away where you can hop on a ferry to France. Don't forget your passport!

Historic Canterbury is only a 30 minute drive away, with its spectacular cathedral, city walls, restaurants, shops and parks. Step back in time at one of our nearby castles - Dover, Deal, Walmer, Leeds and Rochester Castles are all easily reached by car in under an hour.

Visit Ramsgate's Royal Harbour for a taste of the Mediterranean (on a sunny day!), to take out a boat for seal watching or sea fishing, or just to watch the boats from its many cafes and bars. Ramsgate and Margate host their own annual festivals and events.

Kent: Kent is the Garden of England and our extensive coastline boasts an array of blue flag award winning beaches and thrilling watersports. Explore our beautiful countryside, discover country lanes, orchards, vineyards and oast houses. England's oldest county is up to the minute though, with leading edge galleries, theatre and entertaining night life giving you so many things to do. Kent boasts outstanding golf clubs, including the famous St Georges at Sandwich.

Fabulous home, perfect location!!!

  • 5 of 5

Me and my brother stayed for three nights in this fabulous house! I love the fact it has a drive so no fighting for a parking space or paying extortionate parking prices. I have a Q7 and it fit ok it just poked over the drive a little but it is a big car! The house had absolutely everything you could possibly want/need, even an outdoor area. I love all the traditional features. I love the fact it's in the heart of Broadstairs, close to shops, restaurants which we dined in every evening. I would recommend the new Greek restaurant and American Grill! Food was outstanding! The Chinese restaurant was lovely too. I would most definitely stay again!!!!! Janette the owner is speedy at answering questions, fantastic communication. Thank you again Janette!!!!!!

Average house

  • 2 of 5

House is average. Very old lounge furniture and a rug that has seen better days. A split floor board in the kitchen could have been dangerous for bare feet.

Good location but parking an issue, one space in front for a small car,, my son couldnt leave his there.

I think the house is overpriced, we have been staying in houses in Broadstairs for a number of years and the houses have been to a much higher standard.

Owner's Response: I am sorry that our Shabby Chic Victorian house wasn't your taste. The sofas in the lounge were brought new and some of the furniture is antique as you can see in the photos. I have never had anyone complain about the living room before or parking on the front. We have lots of families stay who park on the front drive its for one vehicle. We are lucky to have a drive in Broadstairs as its so difficult to park. We try our best to please everyone. If you had called me and told me about the floor board I would have sent someone out to repair it for you straight away. Funny enough I have just brought a new rug for Sunshine villa. Our prices are competitively priced for Broadstairs. Our guests return year after year.

Perfect for families with kids

  • 5 of 5

Great location just yards from the main street and few mins walk from beach.

The house was very clean and well presented - good quality bedding, towels etc.

Well equiped for young children with travel cot, high chair, lots of toys etc

The only slight difficulty is parking - there is offstreet parking for 1 car but then you have to be lucky to find another space for free nearby.

Convenient property in lovely coastal town

  • 4 of 5

The house had plenty of space for us and our three adult children and is situated close to the centre of town. (You can just about see the sea from one of the bedrooms and the shops and restaurants are a couple of minutes walk away).

A stroll around Broadstairs is a journey of discovery with a lovely surprise around every corner. Our most famous resident was Charles Dickens who wrote many of his classic novels here. Walk around the Thanet coastline to explore our beautiful beaches and bays, each with its own character. Broadstairs' main beach is the unspoilt Viking Bay, where you can still see much of Broadstairs' Victorian heritage. Viking bay has a small harbour with cafes and gift shops, with plenty of rock pools for crabbing and exploring. An old fashioned beach funfair and a traditional punch and judy show in the summertime. There are a mouth-watering number of restaurants, bistros, cafes and pubs to choose from. Broadstairs has a vibrant calendar of events ranging from the annual Dickens Festival ( June), Water Gala ( June) and Folk Week ( Aug) to a great free summer entertainment programme. Easily accessible by car, coach, ferry and train from London St Pancras and Victoria Station.
