Venice city center Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Double room, living room with sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom, roof-terrace, lift

Strategically located in the heart of the city, only 200 metres far from the Rialto Bridge and 3 min walking from Saint Mark Square, the charming Ca' Bellavista Rialto Apartment sits at the fifth floor. In the building there is a lift.

This bright apartment has a graceful view over Venice's roofs and is furnished with all the modern comforts: the flat is 60 M2 in size and consists of a spacious living room with a comfortable double sofa-bed, a well-equipped kitchen with dining area (and washing machine), a beautiful double bedroom, one modern bathroom with bathtub-shower, a splendid 'altana' (typical Venetian terrace on the roofs from where you can admire an enchanting view of the city and its lagoon) which is shared with the apartment in front of you.

The apartment is located in the real central part of the city, really close to the Rialto Bridge and its famous 'Mercato' (market), lively characteristic of this area. You can enjoy a lot of quiet, even if the central position.

Our apartment was a nice one bedroom with a pull-out couch for the kids. The kitchen and bathroom were sizeable. The location was perfect near the Rialto bridge and a short walk to St. Mark's square. The apartment was clean and well stocked. There was an elevator to bring us upstairs after a long day of walking the island. The balcony is upstairs and shared, but we never saw the couple. The view from the balcony was wonderful... a complete 360 degree view of the top of Venice. Be up there for the 1800 bells that start at the square and continue around a few other church towers on the island. Very neat. The green chairs were up there, but no table. Although not necessary, a table would have been nice as we enjoyed the view and sipped on the local wine. The view from the kitchen and dining room inside the apartment are nice as well. If you look straight down from the kitchen window, you can see and hear the local gondoliers on the small canal.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your visit! Just a few words to let you know how very pleased we are to hear you completly enjoyed your stay in our holiday home, in particular the beautiful views from the top-roof terrace! About the table, we are sorry to hear about your inconvenience, and appreciate your comments here. We want to inform you that there was no table because, only a few days prior your arrival, a thunderstorm with strong winds (terrace is at the fifth floor!) has seriously damaged it, we have already replaced it! We will be working diligently to make your stays even more enjoyable in the future. All the best, Paolo

Soak up the atmosphere of Venice

  • 5 of 5

We chose this apartment not only for its central location but also because of its outdoor space. We were really happy with both. We arrived at Hotel Da Bruno to a warm welcome and a cool drink. We were taken to our apartment and given a tour around and guidance on how the kitchen equipment, TV/DVD/Satellite & Air Con worked. We were also shown access to the roof terrace (wow what a view). We were advised on where to shop for groceries and we had already researched where the markets were and how to buy wine from local outlets.

The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our weeks' stay in Venice. We cooked in several days and of course had a glass of wine and watch the beautiful sunsets from the roof terrace.

Venice unlike other cities is so quiet at night with of course no motor traffic and so our stay at the apartment was peaceful. We would rise early to get to St Marks Square to take shots as dawn broke and found that the apartment was ideally situated for the main sites. We did walk to every district of Venice and got off the beaten track during our week there and the apartment made a great place to come back to and chill out in the evening. We even walked to the football ground to support Venice on the Sunday at their home game where they won 5-3. What a great atmosphere. We then walked back along the sea front on lovely sunny evening.

We would recommend this apartment to anyone who would like to be close to the main sites yet be able to soak up the great atmosphere that this beautiful city has to offer. Great place.

Fantastic Apartment

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from the best winter break we have ever had. Venice at this time of year (mid Jan) was uncrowded and, although quite cold, the flat was very warm and cosy and we had no rain.

It is so central and convenient for all the sights, but at the same time quiet as it is just off the main thoroughfare. The owners are delightful and so understanding when I locked the keys in the flat on a saturday evening!! The flat was very clean and well appointed with a supermarket and wine shop nearby. It was great being able to walk to the water taxi at the Rialto Bridge in 3 minutes, and to St Marks for a late night stroll in 10 minutes.

We will be returning next winter - and we rarely go back anywhere. I would recommend this flat to anyone and although there was only the 2 of us, it would do for 4 without being cramped. The rooftop altana was used for lunch on a sunny day and is just wonderful for rooftop views and to watch the gondolas below.

Loads and loads of restaurants / pizza places to choose from - they often seem to be cheap but with cover charges, service charge at 12%, water at E3.50 a bottle and wine at around E13 a half bottle it can ends up far from so. Just check carefully . Some don't have the cheaper house wine at about E8 a half litre. Take away pizza and wine bought from a shop at E2 a litre in a water bottle got us through the end of the week. ( The wine was better than that is the restaurants).

So, we will return!

Enchantment in Venice

  • 5 of 5

This apartment far exceeded our expectations - the photos only hint at the beauty. Although it is centrally located, it is very quiet, and always restful. The property is spotless, and the kitchen and bath especially functional. We found the owners totally helpful and welcoming. Since they own a nearby hotel, they were always easy to reach. Our very small problems were quickly remedied. The altana is special treat, with spectacular views. We especially enjoyed having our meals, or evening wine there. We would recommend this property to anyone, and hope to be able to return soon.

Charming, Spacious Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Spacious apartment with separate kitchen, living area, double bedroom, and bathroom. Spotlessly clean with all modern conveniences and lots of character. Air conditioned. Very centrally located close to the Rialto Bridge (map reference on profile is not quite accurate!).

Located on 5th floor of the building so need to use the lift to access but building is quiet so lift normally available. Rooftop terrace is amazing - wonderful views across rooftops of Venice. (Note: terrace is shared with another apartment).

Good value and great for self catering. Would definitely recommend!

The apartment is located in the real central part of the city, really close to the Rialto Bridge and its famous 'Mercato' (market), lively characteristic of this area. With only 3 minutes of walk you will enjoy also Saint Mark Square, and all around the rich stores, restaurants and gondolas that will make you discover all Venice: from the apartment you can visit Venice in the best way enjoying the charm of one wonderful view.

Easily reachable by public and private transport, the apartment, despite its central location, is quiet and private. A few steps away from the apartment, there are two well stocked supermarkets, a bakery, a “pizza take-away”, a fresh fruit and vegetable store and one of the best ice cream parlours in Venice.
